“Best so far!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2012

We are living next door to this restaurant for the month of February, and so walk by it every day. We decided to dine there the othe night and are glad we did. Great service, food, presentation and atmosphere. We ordered a bottle of malbec, a caprese sald for 2 (beautiful presentation) and a lomo in a pepper sauce reduction which came with potatoes in a gratin sauce. All excellent.

“A delightful surprise find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2011

We found Soberbia 22 on our way to a different restaurant, but were cheerfully beckoned in by the waiter! As there were tables outside in the sun, we decided to stay and we weren't disappointed.
The waiter was friendly and helpful, the food (vacio - enormous and tender, chorizo de bife - perfectly cooked, ojo de bife - tasty) was delicious and the chunky chips were the nicest I've had in Buenos Aires. The wine was reasonably priced considering the area. The service wasn't rapid, but we enjoyed the atmosphere while we waited, and it wasn't a long wait. Overall we'd highly recommend it!

“Great food, service a it slow”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2011

Walking around Palermo Hollywood, we stumbled upon Soberbia 22. the place looks great and we walked in and were seated right away.

The service was slow but I found that to be the case almost everywhere we went in Buenos Aires. We ordered beef of course, I order the entrana, and Tom ordered the Ono de bife.

They brought us out empanadas and some bread. We ordered some sides as well.

The food came out and the beef was great. Is there bad beef in Argenitna?

We enjoyed it and found the price reasonable. The only thing that would have made it better was for the service to be better.

One thing we did not like is they made it a point to tell us tip was not included and we were not allowed to tip on pur credit card. Just an FYI to those out there. We found this to be common in Argentina.

“Nice atmosphere held in check by mediocre food and service, albeit with a price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2010

We were drawn here by the cool, modern atmosphere and flaming grill in the open kitchen in the back of this Palermo Hollywood restaurant. Clientele was all local so we felt good to have found a place away from the typical tourist establishments.

The rest of our meal, however, did not live up to the promise above: food was overcooked except for the fries which were unedible. Service was bit rough but that may have been due to language barriers and different cultural expectations. Wine list was good. Price was expensive compared to other places we ate at in town.

If you're visiting for only a limited time, I wouldn't go out of your way to come here.

“Best Surprise in Buenos Aires”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2010

Got to this restaurant by accident, I was going to Standard, which is across the street, but it was closed so we just decided to go into Soberbia 22. Superb!
