We stayed here at very short notice for one night after discovering a gap in our accommodation bookings due to flight changes. We were referred by Rachel of Casa Jasmin/El Jardin del Tango, where we had stayed previously. We actually stayed in the Casablanca and Bollywood rooms, which are round the corner from Maggie's B&B, and form two of three bedrooms in a splendid century-old building. The third bedroom is occupied by the owner of the apartment, who was very nice, but we did feel a little like we were encroaching on her privacy. We had our own bathroom, and the use of her kitchen and living room.
The apartment was clean and comfortable, and the kids loved watching a couple of DVDs from the owner's collection. There are small grocery stores and a laundry nearby, and we cooked a simple meal in the evening (having checked first that it was ok to do so). The subte is very close, and in fact many of the central sights are within walking distance of the apartment. There was free, fast wifi.
So - we probably wouldn't choose to stay there again, but it is perfectly nice and others may not feel like we did. For USD$120 (although no breakfast was included) and at no notice, we were glad of a bed!
