Stayed at the Glu Hotel in Palermo for 3 nights. It has only opened and we got a reduced rate of 170 usd per night. Hotel is brand spanking new and rooms are well equiped and quite big. Wooden floors are probably my only fault with the rooms, it doesn´t help with keeping down noise levels. The spa and gym which is referred to on the hotels website are not open yet, hence the reduced rate but once they are this hotel will be a great place to stay. There is a terrace on the ground floor to have breakfast/drinks and there is also a jacuzzi and sun loungers on the small roof terrace. Internet access is free.

Location wise, its just a couple of blocks (5 mins walk) from the main square in Palermo and we had no problem finding places to eat/drink within close distance to the hotel. Palermo does appear slightly dingy in comparison to staying in other areas like Recoleta but we never felt unsafe, day or night. The abundance of shops/restaurants and bars makes Palermo a great area to stay in.

Finally, the staff. They couldn´t do enough. It was possibly the friendliest hotel I´ve ever stayed at.

My partner & I arranged a trip to BA with very late notice. We learnt about the Glu Hotel via Expedia & saw that the location was good. (It is in the middle of Palermo, the old, chic district of BA, between Palermo Soho and Palermo Hollywood, in walking distance from scores of excellent restaurants and bars). It was one of the few hotels that still had availability at so late notice. We booked via their excellent website and appreciated the prompt and clear communication from Patricia, the owner. I now realise that the only reason that the Hotel was not fully booked was because it is so new and still relatively unknown (it opened in October 2008). The hotel is pristine. It has been finished to a high standard. The decor is smart, modern and clean. The rooms are large & light, again with attention to detail and quality. There is a large flat screen TV, an effective A/C system & the windows keep out the street noise completely. Soft drinks are complimetary, as is the WiFi. The best aspect of the hotel by far is the staff. My partner & I both work in the airline industry & travel widely. We have stayed in many hotels but have never experienced such excellent and welcoming customer service as at the Glu. Patricia, along with Gustavo, Gabriel & Bertha, have created a home from home in BA. Their help, flexibility & advice were invaluable and greatly appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Glu Hotel to anyone and cannot praise it highly enough. Thank you Patricia for making our stay such a lovely experience. Ed & Katherine from England.

My wife and me spend our first honey moon night at the Glu Hotel. It was really wonderful. Rooms are very well designed and very large. Patricia is a very special person and she gives us a pleasant stay. High recommended.

My wife and I spent 7 nights at the Glu and loved it. The hotel is in the perfect location to bars, restaurants, and shopping. The whole staff is wonderful and very accommodating. After spending time talking to the staff, at the end of the trip it was like saying good bye to old friends. One advise I have, is listen to the recommendations of the owners (Patti and Gustavo). I never at a bad meal. Most hotel rooms in Buenos Aires are quite small, but at the Glu there is plenty of room. We had a great experience and can't wait to go back.

My husband and I spent 6 days in Buenos Aires this past October and stayed at The Glu Hotel. In our opinion it was the best choice we could have made. Awesome location, the neighborhood is called Palermo Soho, where we found so many attractions and style, and a wide variety of cute restaurants and bars near us. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and they were really dedicated to providing the best service, and you can see how much effort they put into the hotel, it's modern, classy, comfortable and the room was so silent that it would be perfect for someone who has trouble sleeping when hearing external noises. We are New Yorkers, and we can say that Buenos Aires is a beautiful city, it was our first time there and we totally enjoyed it... the stay at The Glu made it perfect.
