It's hard to add anything original to all the glowing reviews but the Miravida is an exceptional place to stay if you like staff that make you feel like family and an environment that quickly feels like coming home. We spent 6 nights there in March and I had tears in my eyes as we left. Nadia, Marcela, Nigel, Daniella and Jim are all lovely people and were very helpful, welcoming and responsive. We stayed in room #1, which is quite a good size with a very comfortable king sized bed dressed in lovely sheets. The room looks out over a small park where occaisional homeless people sleep. The strange sound of the buses air brakes took a bit of getting used to but all in all we slept very well. The area is funky, a bit rough around the edges but very hip and popular with many good restaurants and boutiques within walking distance. And yes the intimate wine bar/breakfast room is a real feature. A wonderful spot to chat with fellow travellers and whoever is manning the bar that evening. Breakfast was great- a nice selection of freshly prepared ingredients- the poached egg on spinach being my favourite. If I am ever lucky enough to go back to BAs I would hope the Miravida is still there manned by Jim and his handpicked crew. It was always give me a warm feeling remebering our stay there.
