My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time when we spent five nights at the Miravida Hotel. The great reviews this little 6 room hotel are getting are right on. The location is great and the owner, Jim, and his staff are extremely helpful and super nice. I prefer not to repeat what's already been written about this place but would like to point out a few things.
First, the decor and furniture of the hotel is very well done, very comfortable and with a solid attention to detail. Our bed and linen was so comfortable that we had trouble getting out of bed in the morning. Second, the hotel is well located in a quiet street in Palermo but easily accessible to all of Palermo Soho and a few minutes walk to the subway, Santa Fe, Zoo, and Plaza Italia. Its just a short subway or cab ride away from Barrio Norte or Microcentro. Third, the wine bar and its selection of wines by the glass is a fantastic way to experience and learn about Argentine wines in a quiet, cost effective manner. Jim and his staff are knowledgeable about the wine and this is a great place to learn a bit, especially if you don't speak Spanish. Set up a tasting. Fourth, we stayed in the suite and enjoyed the extra space the extra room afforded us. The other rooms are fine for shorter stays but I'm glad we got the suite for our stay. Lastly, the restaurant is no longer operating so there is no problem with noise (a problem raised by other reviewers) and the websites photos don't really do the place justice so I have added a few more. I would recommend this place to friends and plan on returning. Enjoy.

We stayed our 1st 3 nights in BA at the Miravida Soho and couldn't be happier with our choice. We chose this hotel based on the other Trip Advisor reviews and they were right. The staff & Jim were so helpful in making dinner reservations and activity recommendations for the city, based on what we told them our preferences were. Jim was just great - there couldn't be a friendlier hotel owner in the world! The wine was perfect, the room, while on the smaller side (we booked the least expensive room there), had a balcony overlooking the patio and was very comfortable. The finishing details in our room and throughout the hotel were impressive. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip. We would recommend this hotel to anyone, it's in a great location and the friendliness of everyone made our trip and introduction to Buenos Aires the best.

Just got back from a 2 week honeymoon in Argentina/Brazil. We spent 5 nights at the Mirivida Soho on either end of our trip. This hotel is situated exactly where you want to be in Buenos Aires. A short walk from the downtown area and most 'attractions', located in the trendy Palermo Soho district- which is the place to be for eating and going out at night. The hotel itself is stylish and well designed; small enough that you feel you are staying in someone's house, but big enough to give you all the space you need. What really makes this hotel fantastic is the staff; from owner Jim, manager Nigel and all the other staff- everyone is extremely helpful- they'll make all your reservations, recommend everything to do and see and in general just be wonderful. This was an amazing place to stay in BA, and I would recommend it to anyone. Oh and the wine bar and it's tastings are delicious!!!

My husband and I spent 2 nights here during our time in Buenos Aires. We would have loved to stay longer but they were fully booked for the other two nights we were in town. It is located in Palermo Soho near great shopping and with easy access to restaurants. We enjoyed the room which faced the back courtyard. It was cozy and quiet. The bed was quite comfortable. We enjoyed chatting with the owner, James and one of his staff, Nigel. They were very friendly and helpful with suggestions for places for dinner. We spent relaxing nights at the wine bar. The breakfasts were very tasty and got us energized for days of sightseeing.

This was our first time to South America and I had started checking hotels on Trip Adviser several months before we went. Jim and I started exchanging emails and I found him to be extremely helpful and very friendly. At the last minute our flight got canceled and we had to leave the following day. The hotel was great, I called and spoke to Thomas and he was able to extend our stay so we could still have time at the hotel. The little wine bar is delightful and the wine cellar is beautiful. Nigel, Marcela, Thomas and everyone are always so helpful and friendly. We went to several Tango shows that Jim helped us book and also went to Colonia on the ferry one day. The restaurants recommended to us were the top of the line, not necessarily expensive, but great food. If we every are able to go back staying at the Miravida Soho will the number one requirement for me. It is like visiting family that know all the best things to do and the rooms are very nice and really clean. Thank you Jim, Marcie, Nigel and all the staff.
