Uruguayan Chivito, a steak sandwich loaded with mozzarella cheese, egg, bacon, green olives and other ingredients is best eaten in Uruguay. My quest for this delicatessen led me to many, many places in Argentina. Nobody understood that one of the main secrets is in the bread. Chivito Jose understood this so it worth a trip when you are in Buenos Aires. It is somehow 25 km away from downtown. Better eaten without the french fries, which are not very good. Prices are very reasonable. I am probably biased...I go there every weekend when in Buenos Aires. Never tried anything else so I cant comment.
