My wife and I have just returned from 2 weeks (the 1st 2 weeks of May) at Hotel Club Flipper. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. There were certain key members of staff (reception and in the animation team) that went out of their way to be helpful, friendly and made us feel special and welcome. Most of the staff we had regular contact with had good enough English. The hotel was quiet when we went as it was right at the start of the season. It was due to start to get busy from mid May onwards. Club Flipper is also a timeshare (RCI) resort. It is popular with the Turkish, Dutch and English and can have upto 1700 people on the priave peninsula where club flipper is based in high season. The entertainment team (animation team) were fun and friendly and did a good job at involving us in things that would not otherwise be our scene but we had a good laugh. They have a kids club and the animation team seemed to do a great job at looking after what few children were at the resort when we were there.
We stayed on a half board basis and the food included was fair. The food available at lunch time from the VIP bar and the A la Carte menu was significantly better but this cost more. In the season there would have been another restaurant open on the site together with more of the other facilities. The rooms were good and kept very clean. We thought the hotel was excellent value for money. The local buses come to the gate and it is easy to get to Yalikavak and Bodrum (about 1 hr) by bus. I highly recommed taking the bus to Gumusluck, a wonderful fishing village with wonderful fish restaurants.
This was our first visit to Turkey and enjoyed it. I am glad to report that we did not have any stomach upsets which is contrary to what nearly everyone we spoke to prior to our trip said. I highly recommend this hotel.
