“Aegean Treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

.The 4Reasons Hotel is a special place on the Bodrum Peninsula. Located a short walk or cab-ride overlooking the waterfront town of Yalikavik, this small hotel offers a pleasant break from the pressures of touring Turkey. Good accomodation, a beautiful pool, well-landscaped grounds, and comfortable lounge areas set the stage for the wonderful staff's attention to their guests! Our meals were excellent, enjoyed pool-side with expansive views of the Yalikavik valley, and to islands offshore. Recommended for families, lovers and friends, as well as writers, the 4 Reasons Hotel in Yalikavik seems to be a perfect retreat!

Room Tip: Higher floors for better views.

perfect for seeing the sights of Bodrum area; ten minute walk to Yaliklavik, an unspoiled fishing town; meals great, attentive staff; special thanks to Ahmet in front office who found us a rental car for trip to Ephesus (2 hrs 40 mins) when no car seemed to be available

4 Reasons really really exceeded my expectations...what an amazing tranquill place! Everything was just perfect, I do not know where to start...from the extremely helpful staff especially Ali who always made time for us to tell us about things to do around the area and especially suggesting some of the most delicious resteraunts in the surrounding areas-every suggestion was brilliant!!

The hotel staff and waiters were so so polite & friendly and nothing was ever too much trouble! The resteraunt in the 4reasons itself was great and had loads of choices-and the breakfast was just perfect, again so much to choose from and all fresh!

The rooms were spacious, luxurious and had a very special touch with design and art! 4reasons is a little hidden gem and I would highly recommend it to any who wants relaxation in amazing luxurious settings, excellent food and drink & top class service!

I cannot say enough about 4reasons...U need to go and see for yourselves! I would go back in the morning if I could!

We were looking for a small luxury hotel set away from the maddening crowds of the beach environment and tourist trodden paths. I wanted to rest, relax and be pampered. We also wanted to experience some of the 'REAL' local life.

4reasons was ideal as it is set up in the hills with the most awesome view of the 'bluest of blue' Aegean sea. Every time we walked down from our room to the pool, to dine in the restaurant or to chill out in the shaded cosy cushion corner, our breath was taken away by the stunning view.

The '4 reasons' really came to life during our stay with Esra, Ali and their wonderful team.

Serenity: Definately - from the spotlessly clean, crisp and comfortable rooms to the ambience created around the hotel by the stylish buildings, the breathtaking view, the soft background music, as well as the unintrusive yet warm and attentive nature of the hotel staff. The quite area around the waterfall was a lovely place to sit in the shade.

Design: We personally like simplicity, light and space and this was something that 4reasons have really captured from the moment you walk through their gates. It gave us a sense of freedom and certainly helped in creating the relaxing atmosphere we were seeking.

Quality: Everything 4reasons is quality. The setting, the rooms, the facilities, the service, the staff and the Bistro. I love cooking and have a good appreciation of food world-wide. We ate almost every meal in the restaurant because there was a great variety and the dishes were all made from fresh local ingredients. There are plenty of great restaurants in the locality and the hotel are not slow in recommending these but the Bistro is very special.

One of my favourite meals was the '4reasons koy eristesi' (Basically a pasta made by local villagers tossed with garlic, olives, feta cheese, local herbs, cherry tomatoes and toasted pine nuts). The 'Izgara sebze tabagi' (grilled local vegetable plate) was a healthy lunch option and a naughty lunch option was the best pizza ever, made in the Bistro pizza oven. To be quite honest we could list the whole menu here because there was nothing we ate that we did not like: fish dishes, meat dishes, meze - delicious! The breakfast buffet was a great spread too and the best way to start the day. We always looked forward to the surprise of the day - my favourite all week was the home-made Borek (oven-baked pastry stuffed with cheese and spinach). The presentation of the food was excellent and has given me lots of ideas and inspiration for when I am on entertaining duty.

I am a stickler for cleanliness - maybe slightly OCD and I have to say there was nothing I could fault in the work of the housekeeping team.

Attitude: How many hotels do you stay in where you feel like the staff know you and know what you need to make your holiday memorable. Ali and Ahmet in reception made sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy my 4reasons experience from the minute we arrived. They suggested and arranged activities they knew we would like: an authentic local Turkish Hammam experience, a classical concert at Bodrum Castle, a day tour on a local traditional yacht (Gulet), not to forget the peaceful walk in the hills through olive groves and mandalin trees. Birol and the Bistro team were attentive and were always there when we needed them. Ali and Esra never passed me without a smile and stopping to check that all was well in our world.

Does it sound a bit too good to be true? We absolutely loved the 4reasons and have already booked for next year along with a few of our friends who all are looking for a similar experience.

Room Tip: Hmmmm! Just ask Ali and Ahmet to provide you with the best one to meet your needs!

I spent a week here in late September and thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms are stylish and comfortable and spotlessly clean. My room was above the pool, in perfect position to watch the nightly sunsets. It's a small hotel, although rooms are spread around the grounds, giving a feeling of space. The pool area is compact but it's a nice pool and have gorgeous views down to the village and coast. The bar area is just off the pool, so easy to see everything that is going on! We ate around the pool every evening and it was wonderful to be outside, even though it got chilly later on (however, wonderful hotel staff brought us blankets to put round our shoulders if we needed them!). The food was much better than I had expected. Fresh, tasty and healthy. If I ate at lunchtimes, I usually had a salad and they had a wonderful choice of great salads, which were all great, ideal for a lunchtime snack. Ten minutes down a track from the hotel was a corner shop that sold almost everything and it was about 40 minute walk into town, so very accessible. The hotel staff were wonderful. I was amazed at how quickly they got to know what I liked to drink and were always friendly, helpful and professional. I needed a relaxing week in the sun and that is exactly what I got, thanks to this lovely little gem of a hotel.

Room Tip: Some rooms have private balconies and some not, so worth asking if your room has one. I had a small...

We were looking for somewhere relaxing and peaceful for a ten day Autumn holiday; our preference is always for small, stylish hotels with a reputation for excellent service. After some online research we found the 4 reasons, which seemed to tick all the boxes. We were not disappointed, in fact, it exceeded our expectations!
The hotel is close enough to the village of Yalikavak with its numerous bars and restaurants (20 minute walk) but far enough way to be an oasis of peace and calm. The design of the hotel, centred around a beautiful pool area, creates a sense of intimacy. The rooms (we had a standard) are modern and spacious. The bar area is a great place to relax and watch the wonderful sunsets over the bay.
The icing on the cake is the charming and attentive staff who can't do enough for you despite the long hours they appear to work. They are unfailingly friendly, no matter what time - day or night. Particular praise must go to Ali for his guidance and advice on what to do and where to go, and to Zerhat and Yusuf for their attentive but discreet service service and help. In fact, all the staff were fantastic.
The buffet breakfast is excellent and in addition the staff are happy to cook something fresh for you everyday. As there was so much choice in Yalikavak we only ate dinner at the bistro twice during our stay. The food was fine and the terrace venue overlooking the lights of the bay delightful.
We would highly recommend the 4reasons.

My husband and I recently stayed at the 4reasons hotel and would thoroughly recommend it to like-minded people. We were looking for a small stylish, peaceful hotel with pool, views, good food, no entertainment and within walking distance of shops and restaurants - 4 reasons delivered on all accounts - thoroughly recommend it!
The hotel is a real oasis set back from the small town of Yalikavak and boasts stunning views and beautiful sunsets. The fact that the hotel is small enables the hard working staff to give their guests that personal touch. We can highly praise the two managers Ali and Mehmet for their very 'hands on approach' and their genuine desire for their guests to experience the very best of the region. The staff who looked after the bar/pool area were highly efficient, charming, attentive and discreet. They seemed to work very long hours and still remain happy - thank you Serhat and Youseff! All of the meals are served poolside and the breakfasts are wonderful and set you up for the day. Evening meals are also very good, although the wine is a trifle expensive! The bar looked after by Serhat seems to stay open for as long as guests want it to!

Overall the hotel is well designed with beautiful well stocked gardens. The rooms are modern and of a good size and the cleaning staff go about their work with a smile and with discretion. This is a great hotel for couples, singles and small groups of friends, but possibly not quite so well suited for families with children.
