This is a charming boutique hotel on the promenade in Yalikavak. Initially my husband and I chose it because it had WiFi internet access (yes I know that's geeky!) and looked quiet and peaceful. It turned out to be an excellent choice.
The hotel has 13 individually designed rooms and suites, ours was gorgeous with nice decorative touches including stunning drapes, a lovely turret like shower with multi head massage system and heavy marble countertops. The maids were really thorough and started as soon as you went for breakfast so by the time you returned the room was all ready. I think they must have thought we were on honeymoon because they scattered flower petals on the bed and made a heart shape out of them.
All of the staff were really friendly especially Nil on reception who helped us organize our transfers to the airport and also went out of her way to source car hire.
They never stop working here, they are always working on the gardens (which are small but full of beautifully scented flowering plants), or cleaning the pool area or the walkways, and they always smile and ask how your day has been.
Breakfast is included here and every day consisted of a prettily presented plate of various cheeses, salad, olives, fruit and cold meats. The cheeses were wonderful, normally three different types and all very tasty. You also have a large basket of wonderful fresh bread and a selection of jams which taste home made.
The hotel has an open air terrace restaurant, very intimate, overlooking the promenade and the beach. Great sunsets from here! And in the evenings they serve an extensive Chinese menu which surprised us but which was very good.
There is a very clean and nicely private pool on the property – I found it a bit cold but then I’m spoilt and need warm water. There is also a private beach area across from the hotel. The beach is well looked after but like all the beaches in the area it is quite narrow and the sand is quite gritty.
We will definitely be coming back here, it is a charming little oasis and Yalikavak itself is a fantastic place for exploring the Bodrum peninsula.
