This was my first time renting personal property online; I also believe that I was the first to rent Mimosa #7.
The owner calls this place her home away from home. There is a certain kind of peace people find only in places they can truly call home. I found that peace in Turkey. It is a bonus that it comes with a great view of the ocean and hillside, pools, water slide, great neighbors and helpful community staff.
Holiday Gardens is a bit off the beaten path to be sure but the public transit is easy to navigate to get you into town and there is a free bus that takes to you supermarket every day for any items you may need.
The owner I could easily count as a friend. She was helpful in every respect even when my flight was delayed. She is the diamond that makes this home shine. I cannot thank her enough.
The only advice I can give – learn a little Turkish. The people on the Bodrum peninsula are accommodating to English speaking travelers but a little Turkish will grant you a little more hospitality. The locals (the ones who don’t speak English) are lovely and inviting and will try their best to find out if you are enjoying yourself and will help you if they can.

Thank you Trevor (and Mum) for Reviewing my "home from home". It was a pleasure to have you stay at No. 7 Mimosa and I am genuinely touched by your very kind remarks. I am delighted that you will always have very special memories of your visit to Turkey and wish you and yours every happiness in the future. I have passed on your comments to the staff at Yalikavak Holiday Gardens and would be delighted for you to keep in touch. I would also like to thank Flipkey. This was my first time renting outside of the family and I would highly recommend them for their professionalism.
