“I want to be back there now, fantastic holiday!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

We booked through Thompson, and after reading the reviews here we were confident that we had booked a good hotel, upon arrival our expectations were met & more. This hotel is fantastic. You are made to feel very welcome by staff from arrival. Yes you have to pay extra for a Fridge, Air Con & a Safe...but for the price we paid for the holiday we were not complaining!

The rooms are very clean, the pool area is lovely and kept very clean, however you do have to battle for a sunbed, people have their towels out and sometimes don't even use the sunbeds, on more than one occasion me and my partner wanted to sit by the pool but there were no sunbeds to sit on because we not not reserve one before breakfast!

Breakfast was a turkish breakfast, which was good quality and clean. We did not eat their everyday as you can buy a full English breakfast in town for very cheap so took that option a few mornings.

Hisaronu town is brilliant, there is always a buzzing atmosphere with plenty to do for everyone of every age. I stayed in the Lagoon Hotel with my partner, and my mum, dad, brother and grandad stayed in another hotel but we always met in town for dinner and a few drinks and there were no complaints from anyone.

All in all, this was an amazing holiday, and we will definitely be returning to the Lagoon Hotel. Booking privately with this hotel is much better value for money so that is how we will be booking next time!

Room Tip: Request a High Floor Room.

We spent 3 weeks at the lagoon, we had a fantastic time, the staff couldnt do enough for us, we booked through the owner and arranged our own flights, our transport was waiting for us at the airport, the night watchman helpd us with our cases, the rooms were spotless with plenty of towels, maids in every day, the bar and waiting staff were great, efficient and great fun barry and burhan were very good, also selin who was on reception was very helpfull. We were self catering but ate a lot at the hotel food was great value for money, no complaints at all. We spent a lot of time st the black pearl it is a nice little rock bar run by taz and lana they made our holiday special, the sunset bar just on the up the road on the corner was another place ws spent time in, my husband found a cider in there he liked, it was on the table by the time we sat down! All in all a fantastic holiday, hotel great, entertainment great(turkish night) bars in hisonarou great, lots of restaurants to choose from, near by market every monday, good bus service, excellent beaches. We also took a private gullet trip it was 18 pounds per person from 10.30 -18.00 from fetiye, that was beautiful. So all in all holiday 10 out of 10, just wish we were there now!!!!

Lagoon Hotel is very simplistic but very lovely at the same time. We arrived early Friday morning and discovered that we were in the basement (after reading previous reviews this was the last place we wanted to be) and we considered asking to move to another floor, but they didn't have rooms to accommodate us elsewhere in the hotel, so we stayed in the basement for the full 2 weeks. However, after a couple of days we got used to the small mouldy bathroom and no balcony and realised that we were hardly going to be in our rooms anyway. After speaking to other hotel guests, it seems that rooms on the other floors are very nice and clean, so I wouldn't let this aspect stop you from visiting the hotel. The staff were the best part of the hotel, always very friendly and welcoming (especially Ercan who was an amazing asset to the hotel). The food for breakfast was simple but nice and traditional: bread, cheese, olives, tomatoes, eggs, tea and coffee etc. They offered a daytime menu and an evening menu at very reasonable prices and food was always hot and delicious. BBQ night was very entertaining and the food was very very nice, traditional Turkish buffet with chicken/meatballs and lots of different dishes. Aircon is an extra but we found that even in the midst of August we didn't need to use it for the two weeks (possibly an advantage of being in a basement room). The pool was always clean and inviting. There were a variety of alcoholic/ non alcoholic drinks at the bar at reasonable prices. The best part of the hotel building was the Turkish hut which was located next to the swimming pool; it was comfortably lined with Turkish cushions and provided a view of part of Hisaronu. The hotel was a five minute walk into the town, which was always very lively and bustling until the early hours of the morning (however, this couldn't be heard from the rooms at the hotel). I would definitely return to the hotel again!

Room Tip: Rooms in the basement are dungeons

we stayed at the lagoon last week in aug first in sept .although clean and the room was what you would expect in a Turkish hotel apart from really annoying droopy shower head it was fine. there was a lack of a fridge which we knew before arrival we were told it would be £10 per week which we thought would be ok however on arrival this turned into £20 per week so we decided against it and just brought cold drinks in at night ,but on departure the receptionist (which by the way is not 24 hour) demanded £45 for a fridge we had not had. breakfast basic and the same every day but you can buy a fry up if you want . air con is £25 per week we didn't bother , safe is £10 per week so added up can come to a lot. nice pool and communal areas are clean although a few broken tiles here and there but again this is turkey we will be searching for a different hotel for next year as we love the resort because you can take or leave the hussle and bustle and have as much noise or as little as you want

Room Tip: this hotel has semi basement rooms and we heard a lot of complains about them

My son and I stayed for the last two weeks of August and had a great time. The hotel staff are lovely and very helpful!
The reception and public area are clean, new and attractive. There is free wifi in the main hotel and pool area. There is a computer in reception for public use. There is a small library of books and magazines available for you to acces whilst you stay. Many guests leaving fresh supplies each week.
The rooms are clean well appointed and the shower rooms excellent. Air conditioning is £25 per week, a mini fridge £20 per week and a safe £10. This is normal in Turkish hotels and not expensive as this is what the majority of hotels charge.
Breakfast is typical Turkish and is plentiful there are cold drinks available at a cost. There is a "British" breakfast menu available at reasonable rates.
The daytime menu is good value, of good quality and to be recommended. The barbecue night is the best I have attended in any Turkish hotel (and there have been many!) - miss it at your peril!!
Hisanarou is a short stroll away with its many delights but the hotel remains a quiet idyll.
This is a lovely family run hotel. The staff are friendly hard working and helpful to say the least. It is an excellent hotel and I would wholeheartedly recommend it.

Brilliant location, brilliant staff, brilliant pool. Just brilliant. If you are thinking of a holiday to Hisaronu try and book this place. You won't be disappointed. One small gripe was that the air con didn't work properly but a swift word and that was sorted for us

Have just returned from a weeks holiday with my family.2 adults and teenager. We arrived at 4 am staff were very friendly especially when we discovered our room had not been cleaned. They immediately placed us in 2 rooms in the basement and advised our correct room would be cleaned first thing in the morning. We moved back into our original room overlooking the pool on the 1st floor.

Rooms are clean with flat screen tv plenty of hangers and enough room for 3 the balcony is small but had small table and two chairs. The pool is clean and well maintained. The hotel is well managed the staff are very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Yes it is a 3 star property but excellent value for money. There is wifi around the pool bar and lobby along with a PC you can use. Breakfast is a very basic selection of bread, cheese, tomatoes, tea and coffee. You have the option to have a full English for approx 7 lira

The hotel is a short walk to the main town and about a 10 min dolmus to Fehtiye or Olu Deniz.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool facing room or one of their suite rooms.
