“Lovely, clean, well located but not great for families.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

We've just returned from a week at Nevis hotel (2 adults, one 14 month old baby). It's in a really great location, less than 2 minutes walk to the shops, bars and restaurants. Exceptionally clean and tidy with a beautifully kept swimming pool. The cleaner there does a really amazing job of the rooms. The bedrooms are basic - but that is typical of hotels in this region. The staff were friendly and approachable. Unfortunately, they are not geared up to take children. We hired a travel cot from a local company but there was no high chair available at the hotel which meant it was impossible for us to feed our child there and had to leave to eat lunch and dinner elsewhere. We would have been happy to spend our money there if they had been able to make arrangements for the baby but it was not to be. Breakfast (typical Turkish breakfast of bread, cucumber, feta, tomato etc) was not provided for the baby so we gave him ours and had to sit him in his buggy to eat it. It is also very very very quiet around the pool. Mostly the other guests there were retired and were keen on the peace and quiet but the lack of any music made it so quiet that we were terrified the baby would make a noise and disturb them which meant we spent the whole time on edge. Without any music at all, it lacked any atmosphere. The bar doesn't appear to be used by many people which is a shame. The room balconies are TINY. Don't expect to be sitting on them with a drink from the bar in the evening - which is what we had planned to do but in the end we ended up taking the baby out with us and letting him sleep in his pram. This hotel is ideal if you want somewhere incredibly quiet and peaceful in a good location, but probably not the best place to pick if you have children.

Got back from the nevis on the 5oct having stayed for two weeks what a lovely small but friendly family run hotel. Very basic but spotlessly clean, the owners were so very helpful-nothing to much trouble. If you ate in the hotel the food was very tasty and cheap especially the fruit pancakes. It was very relaxing but only 5 min walk to the shops bars and restaurants.Would certainly consider a second visit

Room Tip: only 20 rooms on two floors we stayed on the second room8 twin beds a bit hard

A lovely small and friendly hotel in a great location, you feel as if you are miles away from anywhere which is lovely as its so quiet but you are so close to everything bars restaurants etc, my husband and I and my daughter and her friend stayed here, the rest of the wedding party stayed in various hotels but after seeing where everyone else was staying I'm glad I picked here. In Turkey accommodation is basic which is what I expected, couldn't fault the cleanliness of everywhere 10 out of 10. Staff and everyone staying there were friendly and they all came to wave us off when we were leaving which was lovely. the only negatives I would have are- bed was so uncomfortable and the other thing was people were putting their towels out on sunbeds every morning before breakfast !! same people same bed every day it was like monopoly you knew who was going to be in Mayfair or Park lane lol , most of the time they would go out at some point of the day and not return for hours but yet the staff did nothing to remove their towels which I think they should its just not fair, they might be regulars there but it really annoys me but other than that a lovely place to stay.

Room Tip: only 20 rooms so all are good

my husband & i stayed at the Nevis hotel for 2wks 29th June 2012 . we had a fantastic time, this was our 4th time to hisaronu , our first time at this hotel, but wont be our last ! ... it is family run, all the staff are very friendly , most of them speak very good English & cant do enough for you to make your stay perfect. the rooms are basic but very clean & the maid comes every other day . the pool is very clean & a good size very quiet & relaxing , during our stay they was no trouble getting a sun bed plenty to go round, the drinks & snacks were very nice & reasonably priced your not getting ripped off . lots of other guest staying at the Nevis return year after year & were very friendly . we met some very nice people during our stay. the hotel is situated just at the back of the main st, at the quiet end of hisaronu, behind the olive tree hotel. therefore is very peaceful day & night. i would like to finish by saying a big thanks to all the family & staff at the Nevis for giving us a fantastic holiday , hope to c u next year.......... Julie & Colin fr Manchester xx

Been to the Nevis for the last 5 years and to Hisaronu for the last 14. Found this hotel by accident really and wouldn't go any-where now else unless others have booked it up before us. It's getting so popular now that we book up a year in advance to be assured a place. We've been with a large extended family groups and as a couple with teenage daughter and her 2 friends, but who-ever comes with, they us all rave about the place.
The Cerrah family will do anything for you to make your holiday as you wish it. They make you feel like a part of their family while you are there, and we keep in touch with them throughout the year. And Nigel will amaze you with his memory of what you ordered last year.
The local restaurants and nightlife are great too, within a 5 minute walk from the Nevis.
All the locals welcome you back like long, lost friends and make your ho;iday memorable. We've taken our kids here since they were toddlers and never had a bad experience yet with food or entertainments provided.
Bottom line is you can't get any better than this place (unless you're used to 5* hotels) for a clean, friendly & chillaxed atmosphere.
See you there!

Room Tip: All 20 rooms overlook the pool area in 2 blocks.
