We've just returned from a week at Nevis hotel (2 adults, one 14 month old baby). It's in a really great location, less than 2 minutes walk to the shops, bars and restaurants. Exceptionally clean and tidy with a beautifully kept swimming pool. The cleaner there does a really amazing job of the rooms. The bedrooms are basic - but that is typical of hotels in this region. The staff were friendly and approachable. Unfortunately, they are not geared up to take children. We hired a travel cot from a local company but there was no high chair available at the hotel which meant it was impossible for us to feed our child there and had to leave to eat lunch and dinner elsewhere. We would have been happy to spend our money there if they had been able to make arrangements for the baby but it was not to be. Breakfast (typical Turkish breakfast of bread, cucumber, feta, tomato etc) was not provided for the baby so we gave him ours and had to sit him in his buggy to eat it. It is also very very very quiet around the pool. Mostly the other guests there were retired and were keen on the peace and quiet but the lack of any music made it so quiet that we were terrified the baby would make a noise and disturb them which meant we spent the whole time on edge. Without any music at all, it lacked any atmosphere. The bar doesn't appear to be used by many people which is a shame. The room balconies are TINY. Don't expect to be sitting on them with a drink from the bar in the evening - which is what we had planned to do but in the end we ended up taking the baby out with us and letting him sleep in his pram. This hotel is ideal if you want somewhere incredibly quiet and peaceful in a good location, but probably not the best place to pick if you have children.
