We stayed at this hotel from the 20th September for 10 nights and it was just perfect. We arrived at midnight & were greeted by Leyla (the owner), she was so welcoming & offered us air con & safe - yes you do have to pay for this but don't you always!! The hotel is a bargain price for the quality & service you get so paying a little extra for these things was not an issue for us.
Our room had lovely views of the surrounding mountains, it was a new room in the hotel & was just what we wanted, the room was kept very clean by the hard working & friendly cleaners. We had 2 single beds which we pushed together & the cleaners made it up for us as a double, if we had asked we could have been moved to a room with a double bed but it was no problem for us. The room had a sloped roof - Jon is 6'5 as yes OK he may have bumped his head a few times (after drinking girlie cocktails) but most of the time in the bedroom he was led on his back! ;)
The pool & bar area are just perfect, the staff are all AMAZING & Leyla is always about to make sure everyone ( both guests & staff are happy) she has a wonderful, very well run hotel. The prices were what you would expect to pay and well worth it as the quality & atmosphere was great.
About 90% of the people there had been returning to the hotel year after year & many others we spoke to would return again. We like to always try somewhere new but we will definitely be returning to the Hotel Leytur ( may now be getting married here) it was our first time in Turkey & staying at this hotel make it such a wonderful experiance.
On the second day we had a Turkish Spa, it was sooooo good, we had stupidly forget to take cash with us but we asked Leyla and she lent us some money to pay - how many other hotel owners would offer to do that?!! She is so lovely.
The hotel is in a quiet area but the buses run every couple of minutes and are very reasonable, we walked into Hisaronu a couple of times which was fine - very hot but unlike other reviews I'm not going to blame Leytur hotel for that!!! I agree with previous reviews about being polite & making an effort - we did happen to eat at the hotel 9 out of the 10 nights as we loved the food but the staff treated all the guests the same by being very friendly, helpful & fun - i don't know how they do it, they work very long hours but always have a smile of their face. We will miss them all, especially HASAN & HALIN, they really did look after us and made our holiday most enjoyable.
We visited Olu Deniz & the lagoon ( 20 mins away on bus but they do drive quite slow sometimes) it is so beautiful. We did the paragliding and it was totally amazing - booked it through Easy Riders who were very good.
Weather was lovely, but not too hot, had 2 rainy mornings ( Jon went for a swim in the rain, it wasn't cold just raining) but wasn't long before the sun came out again for the afternoon.
Really sad to leave this place :( We met some lovely people at the hotel who we will no doubt see again there when we return.
Hello to Andrea & David & Kim & Paulo AND Bob, hope you have fun & hope to see you next year
