We stayed at this hotel for 14 days and found the staff to be friendly, although the majority of the turkish staff could not speak good english, there was one chap who stood out and his name is 'Enes' he was very funny and made our stay there a great pleasure. The owners were nice too. I did read an article on here regarding dog s**t every where. Well for a start there was NOT one piece of dog s**t anywhere. ( So what ever beef these people had with the place regarding dog s**t, they couldn't be further from the truth). Even though there was a dog in the aqua park in the evenings when it was closed, he was a friendly dog, his bark was definately bigger then his bite lol. The one main thing about staying in the hotel is that you had access to the aqua park for FREE, as anyone from outside had to pay 30 lira to enter the park. I found the park to be clean, and the slides were great, it was nice to go back down to the pool at the hotel to chill out after going on them. Every evening the sunbeds were put by and the surrounding floors were cleaned up. To be honest there was never any problem in getting a sunbed, even after we had breakfast there were beds easily available. Although I was told by some people we met that the aqua park was a lot quieter then last year, so wether that had some sort of an impact, I really don't know. The pool was a nice clean pool, refreshing to go in after a spell in the sun. They held a Turkish night and a BBQ night in the week. The only regret I had was to pay for a seperate room for my partners daughter, as we were all in the same room, so none of us had any real privacy, although it wasn't a major problem, but next time I will ensure we have individual rooms. I really loved staying in Ovacik and walking to Hisonaru ( which is about 15-20 minutes walk away). Done the jeep safari, which we done last year as well, its was fab real fun getting soaking wet along the way. The 12 island trip is worth doing as well. Its very relaxing, well worth doing. As a rule I never go to the same place twice, but it was our second stay in Turkey so who knows we might go there again. All in all we loved the place nice people. There was one restaurant which stood out among the other restaurants called the'King Arms' which served the best food without doubt. We found that the other places to eat, where they offered a set price for a three course meal, just didn't cut the mustard as far as we were all concerned. The staff were great at the 'King Arms'so if you get the chance to eat there you wont be dissappointed. On our last day we noticed an Indian restaurant at the bottom end of Hisonaru, which after arriving home, we were told serves fab food there. Its easy to overlook it, so keep your eye out for it. None of us had any dodgy bellies, even using their ice in drinks, the salads were fine. would recommend this place to anyone.
the rooms are quiet, but ensure what room you are booking for your needs.
