We originally booked the Asena beach -however the day before we were due to Travel -- Dear old Thomas Cook offered us the Mavruka Hotel as the Asena was overbooked..or we could cancel...simple as that --no compensation...take it or leave it.

I travelled with My wife and 2 Teenage Children

After a 7 hour flight delay (Thomas Cook Airlines) we arrived at the Mavruka at 7am...to be greeted by a staff Member who helped us with our cases.

We had 2 excellent rooms on the ground floor near the pool very spacious-fridge-safe and Air con and superb shower room.

The rooms were cleaned daily by a charming team who could not do anymore for you-well done the team.

The Overall team and service was Superb.

Breakfast was the usual Fair Scram and Bolied Eggs and Toast coffee and Tea..nice way to start the day.

The bar snacks were good and Johnny Depp and the team always on hand...

The Pool was a nice size and plenty of beds and Brolleys

The location of the hotel was about 100yds from the local beach--This is a must--great beach--nice breeze and superb place to chill.

Just outside is Sky Sports and if your tempted to Paraglide off the mountain YOU MUST call in and see them -they were superb and really offer a superb package Pictures and CD--Amazing.

Another Must is the Turkish Barbers 10YTL for an amazing shave and freshen up.

Boat trip for a £5 Including Lunch - is a superb day out and a must do.

Well done to the MAVRUKA TEAM for making us welcome and I am sure all that visit will enjoy the ser vice.

“The Perfect Hotel...for so many reasons”

Heya everyone!x I had the amazing oppertunity to stay at this fantastic Hotel in Olu deniz. The Hotel attracts couples and families as it is located fairly closely to the beach and boasts a luxury styled swimming pool area with pool bar.The Hotel itself offers a place to relax and the rooms are spacious and comfortable (great showers). There are many positive points to this Hotel including its attractively styled rooms and it's location. The Hotel staff are extremely friendly, with their enthusiasm and energy they try to make your holiday as memorable as possible which adds a real sense of character and charm to the Hotel. If you travel half board the variety of food I have to say would suit just about anyone. The dining area is large and comfortable and is located under a large sheltered area outside beside the pool bar. The food is traditional and amazing.
The location of the hotel itself is set beside a busy street of shops and restaurants which therefore leads to the beach. The shops are directed at tourists which can sometimes be disappointing as the setting lacks a sense of culture and originality. The Beach itself is vast, a long stretch of golden sand with a huge variety of umbrella's and sunbeds all available for hire.
The main tourist attraction in this area seems to be paragliding, which is hugely popular costing roughly around the price of £55. It looks loads of fun is really safe and you land alongside the beach.
Another thing I have to tell you about is Sea horse beach, this is truly worth the walk as the small stretch of beach is unforgettable, The walk from the hotel roughly takes about 20 minutes and you dont have to pay to enter, there are sunbeds available for hire at £3 per person. The sea is beautiful, perfect if your a good swimmer, surrounded by mountains this really is beautiful. A once in a lifetime experience. Plus there is a bar with lunch time and evening snacks although the negative side is they are more expensive however do offer a totally free service with drives you back to your Hotel. Which is perfect as the walk back after swimming is rather daunting.
Moving onto the nightlife....it will not disappoint you. The Olu deniz area has a great atmosphere with bars and restaurants that really do live upto expectation. Beers cost around £3 aswell as a glass wine which costs the same. Throughout your stay you should really check out the beach bar, at night bean bags and deckchairs are positioned on the beach facing the sea with just candle light. This really is memorable.
Before settling down for evenings drinks if you like to shop there's a perfect little market at night, it sells mainly jewellery aswell as the usual gifts. They are not at all offended by you trying to bargain with them and it is very possible to lower the original price.
The weather is superb, consistantly hot with warm summer evenings. Turkey is a beautiful country with lots to offer, warm and loving people and memories that last forever. Just one last thing.....Hope you have a wonderful time!x

Did quite a bit of research about the resort and it's hotels prior to booking, so this wasn't a spur of the moment thing! The reviews of OluDeniz and the Mavruka Hotel were all good, so we decided to give it a go. (p.s. We're a couple in our late 20's).

Firstly, the Hotel: Spotless. The hotel's only 2 years old which probably goes in it's favour, but has been maintained to an excellent standard. The cleaners seem to work the entire day and do a great job. The bedrooms are a reasonable size (Travel Lodge size i'd say), but include a fridge (which is always a bonus), and free air conditioning, which if you go during the summer, is a god-send! The hotel itself is attractive and well designed. The pool area is great, with a good sized pool (no "deep end" unfortunately though) and ample padded sunloungers. (We never struggled to get loungers.) The bar staff are friendly and the hotel food's good. What's more, the hotel's location is literally 2 mins walk to the beach, shops, restaurants and bars, but yet there is no noise on a nighttime whatsoever. Would happily return to this hotel again and again (and i'm not easily impressed!)

Secondly, the resort itself: OluDeniz is great. It's not over sprawling and has an excellent choice of restaurants, bars, shops etc (but it's not a "big" resort either, which suited us fine). The beach is nice, the sea's torquoise, and the surrounding mountains make it a beautiful setting. Think this could be my favorite resort i've ever been to for a beach holiday, beating hands-down the likes of mainland Spain, Canaries, Balearics, Greece, Crete etc.

Thirdly, top tips: Due to it's position nestled between mountains, OluDeniz is the paragliding hotspot of Europe, and if you get the chance, £50 will buy you a tandem paraglide from the top of the neighbouring mountain, which is fantastic and the views of the area are spectacular from 2,500 metres up. The boat trips round the neighbouring islands and bays are also good fun.

We didn't have a particular favourite restaurant while we were there - they were all very good and decent value for money. We did however have 3 favourite bars - Buzz Beach Bar (makes great frozen strawberry margaritas!); Help Beach Lounge (awesome Long Island Iced Teas and Mojitos), and finally the Bar which is actually on the beach where you sit on bean-bags in the sand overlooking the moon-lit sea (the way we ended most nights).

Had a fantastic holiday at this hotel and this resort and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to everyone.

“"The Best Hotel I've Stayed In Turkey"”

Mavruka Hotel

First, I'd like to explain, I'm not one to write reviews, but felt I just had to share my opinion. My husband & I took a week's break at the Mavruka Hotel In Olu Deniz in June. We have been to Turkey 6 times, and I can honestly say that this is the best hotel we have stayed in (in Turkey). The hotel is only 2 years old and is absolutely spotlessly clean. The rooms were a nice size and we had a mini fridge & free air-con (a total blessing!).
The hotel staff are great! Friendly and fun, and simply can't do enough for you.
We chose to go half board as it was only £30 extra. It was your typical Turkish cusine. I'm quite fussy with food - and the first night we ate there, but were not that impressed, but to be honest, I don't think we gave the hotel a chance, because we also ate there on our last evening and the food was actually quite nice!
We ate mostly at the Help beach Lounge, where the food is to die for!
We have a 13 year old son, but he didn't come with us, and I'm not sure if it is a hotel that would suit him - but bearing in mind, that we went during term time, so there may be more children during the school holidays.
I would whole heartedly & genuinely recommend this hotel, my mother goes toiTurkey alot and I have told her to try it! It is 1 min walk to town and 3 minute walk to the beach - literally!
Ideal for couples (we are a young 34 & 41 yr old) any age from 20's to 60's.
A great holiday and will definately be going back. We have some friends who are unsure about going to Turkey, we have asked them to come with us next time but to be perfectly honest, we're quite happy to keep this little gem of a find, our secret!!

Enjoy!

Myself, husband and 2 daughters aged 9 and 16 stayed at the Mavruka Hotel in June this year for a weeks break away from it all. We had initially booked the Turquiose Hotel and were emailed a few days before departure saying they were now fully booked and we had been upgraded to the Mavruka. so we were a little apprehensive as it had'nt been our first choice, however it turned out to be far better than we expected.

The Hotel is only 2 yrs old and is absolutely spotless. We had a large room with a kingsize bed and huge balcony, our daughers were in an adjoining room with interconnecting door. The maids came in everyday and changed towels and sheets, sometimes even arranging towels into heart shapes and sprinkling them with pink petals! Our bathroom was lovely, with a double shower and was spotless.

We had breakfast everyday which consisted of fresh bread, eggs, cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, cereals etc. really healthy, no bacon but it was available at extra cost. Around 4pm they would appear round the pool with the tea trolly and cream cakes, they were quite expensive (8 lira) but nice for a treat. We didnt have evening meals at the hotel, there is so much choice in the centre, of restaurants with fantastic food( Captian Hooks was our fave)

The staff were all very friendly and spoke excellent English. The pool was large plenty of free sunbeds, everything was very laid back - not one of these places were you have to put a towel on your bed at 7 in the morning!

The hotel is in the centre of the beautiful resort of Olu Deniz where there is plenty going on for all ages. Lovely beach and great beach bar with bean bags on the sand!

We all had a wonderful holiday, the Turks are very friendly and seem to really want you to have a great time. We will definately return sometime!
