“Great Holiday pluses and a few minuses”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

Just got back from Turkey after a 9 nite stay at the OYSTER RESIDENCE. We stayed in the honeymoon suite room 209 apparently the best room in the place.
Hotel Pluses: Quiet during the day, tastefully furnished, lovely pool area and quite an oasis right in the centre of Olu Deniz and by the beach. Great reception staff and helpful and also the maids very nice. Our room was very spacious and bright with our own private balcony.
Hotel minuses: Surly breakfast waiters only one showed any friendliness. We ordered a fresh orange juice one morning, which is extra and not included with breakfast. Never received but charged although later rescinded when settling bill. Breakfast ordinary especially the fruit which was not very fresh at all. The staff don’t ask if you want a cooked breakfast eg bacon/eggs so you would not know available unless you ask. (Strange). Some noise at night but ok and tolerable and tended to go off around midnite.
Resort Pluses : Beautiful surrounding areas, easy to beach and the national park lagoon which is wonderful.
Resort minuses: The tattooed brigade our well in evidence using all the tat bars that dominate the main strip. Benidorm has reached this lovely place which is a shame.
Food and Drink Pluses: Most recommended bar is Buzz bar which has friendly staff and clean with lovely fresh food, well cooked. Also prices clearly displayed on drinks and they serve real spirits not fake. Also well recommended is a trip to Fetihye on the dolmus costs 2 quid single and visit the Fish market. Choose your own fish and they cook fresh in the square we went 3 times it was that good. Sea Bass and King Prawns are devine!!. Never ate in the hotel but was always busy in the evening so assume lovely food. Chicken Kebabs at 2 quid also nice for a quick snack.
Food and Drink Minuses: More expensive than I imagined eg a spirit and mixer around 5 pounds. A large bottle of beer on average £2.50p. Avoid Sugar and Spice restaurant just down the way from the Hotel. All food is frozen, tasteless and just not worth it.
Top tip: Paragliding is going on all day and landing on the beach. Its great to watch and so much that my wife ventured and did the trip up the mountain and the paraglide. It was a wonderful experience for her. (Me scared to death!!). If your gonna do it, make sure you use one of the larger operatives. We used Sky sports after watching all landings the day before. Also Gravity is a good one. Don’t go for the cheaper ones, they have older chutes and less experienced staff. Costs arount £65.
Overall a lovely lovely holiday and would most likely go back.

Room Tip: Honeymoon suite no good for disabled. Also a loft room and banged ou heads a few times.

Fantastic accommodation, exudes class and calm. Pure zen!! Rooms spacious, good air con, beautiful bathrooms. My only wish would be that it was further away from the noise of the nearby bars. I just wish it wasn't in such a central location as you can hear the oink oink music from the local bars both from the terrace areas and your room - and even at breakfast, which is a bit much. This just impacts on the zen factor a touch!

My wife and I just returned from two weeks at Oyster Residence. It was two weeks of bliss. The resort is quite lively but Oyster is a a little piece of quiet in the midst of it all. Brilliant staff from the reception managers, restaurant waiters and maids. Nothing too much trouble. We wanted to attend a Christian meeting on Sunday in Fethiye and Harun (Reception) went out of his way to drive in that way from his home on the morning to actually tell us where it was. Talk to Mustafa about his boat trip, it was superb. We can't wait to visit again

My husband & I have just returned from 10 days spent here. It is a little "oasis" in Oludeniz. The accommodation is lovely from the bedrooms to the pool & gardens to the bar & restaurant. The staff are so attentive and carry out your every need with care and attention. The food is fabulous and very good value for money and always beautifully presented it would not be out of place in any Michelin restaurant. I have not been to Turkey before and certainly this hotel has changed my mind and I cannot wait to return there next year. I could go on and on about how fantastic this place is but you should go there and make your own mind up. Well done to all the staff and management that make this hotel the place that it is. Thanks for making our holiday so good.

We stayed here in May having been here the September previous. The staff are excellent with nothing being too much trouble, the food is probably the best in Oludeniz, unless you prefer take aways!! The best place to stay, although the owners have another residence up the road over looking the clifftop. The really comfy poolside, unlike others, makes you want to lay around and chill without realising your sitting with others. Very good menu and quirky bed seating area make this along with the evening ottoman seating in front of a wood fire a lovely place to stay. If you go in May be sure to pack a jumper for evenings since it can be cold.

Room Tip: rooms at the rear on the lower ground are quieter, but pack ear plugs to ensure undisturbed sleep.

The oyster is with out doubt the best hotel I have ever stayed in, the staff would be a credit to any hotel I have ever stayed in and i have stayed in a few . Room 110 is so relaxing I will be booking it again next year witch will be year number 5 . I won't mention staff by name because they are all very good and if I'm honest the oyster would not be what it is with out them .i am already looking to book again . Hope I meet the golden girls again from Chester fantastic woman .
