We have just returned home from our first holiday in Turkey and are so glad we chose this lovely, friendly hotel. The views are breathtaking and we really liked being a little distance from the town, which can be quite noisy. There is some noise from the road, but it is lovely to be up in the hills but still within walking distance of the beach and town. The hotel has a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
We stayed here with our two daughters - aged 10 months and 3 - and after reading some of the reviews I was a little worried it may not be suitable for a young family. It turned out to be perfect for us: the managers and staff made us feel so welcome and made a huge fuss of our young girls. There are a few facilities for children, including a small pool which we used quite a bit. They also provided a cot for our baby and a (slightly rickety!) high chair. We had no problems doing the walk into town and down to the beach and back. We didn't use our pushchair at all (a baby carrier is essential for this hotel if you want to go out on foot). Even our 3-year-old managed the steps with no problems, but we do a lot of walking at home and are used to hills! If you didn't want to walk then it is very easy to get a taxi or dolmus.
We stayed on a half-board basis and thought the food was really good value. It is a fairly small hotel but there was still quite a lot of choice from the buffet (mainly Turkish food, which we really enjoyed but a few more English options at breakfast, such as scrambled eggs) and we always found plenty that we all liked. Eating breakfast and dinner out on the terrace was one of the best parts of our holiday.
We stayed in a family room (605), which was on the pool side of the hotel, near the bar. This was ideal for us because it meant that once our girls were asleep we could sit at the table right outside the room and enjoy a cold beer together. The room was comfortable and a good size. The air con worked well and the room was always cleaned to a high standard, often with lovely floral decorations on the bed when we returned from our day out. The décor was a bit dated but this didn't bother us at all - especially given the very reasonable price we paid.
This hotel suited us perfectly, but it's a matter of personal preference. If you want a relaxing, friendly Turkish hotel with a nice international mix of guests and don't mind doing a bit of walking then it is ideal. If you want everything on your doorstep, lots of evening entertainment and English food then you would be better off staying somewhere else.
If we return to Oludeniz then we would definitely stay at the Belle Vue again.
