“Love this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2012

Have just booked for June & September next year. This will be our 6th year twice a year! Love this place, staff are amazing & so friendly. Rooms are basic but spotlessly clean & chef does brilliantly on what must be a tight budget! Can't wait to get back.

This was the 2nd time we'd been to pink palace. It is a small hotel and is suitable for couples, families and groups. The staff are all very friendly and you definately get service with a smile. The location is perfect, only a 5 minute walk to bars and restaurants. The food is always freshly cooked and very tasty. The bar area is clean and run very efficiently. The swimming pool is clean and a decent size. Even at the height of season it's never overcrowded. The entertainment run by Serkan is good fun. There are quizzes, mr pink palace, darts, water volley ball and even nights out clubbing which is great fun!
I would recommend this hotel and will we be going back? YES!!

It was just like going back home. The staff the locality the food the room the weather were fantastic. We arrived late after a delayed flight and the bar was still rocking. In the morning it was nice to just help ourselves and chill at the side of the.pool. no fighting for beds.
We found our usual tour operater at Easy Riders in Hisarnou and had a great fishing trip catching Tuna and other types I'd big and small fish.
We can't wait for May next year to go again.

This is an honest opinion about this very basic hotel

Firstly I will give you the con's of our stay .........
When we first arrived at the hotel we were greeted outside the bus with a very kind and happy staff member who kindly carried our luggage to the reception. At reception we were not really greeted with a smile but the gent asked for passports straight away which is fair enough but manners do not cost anything. As he was looking for rooms I asked if there might be any chance of a room with a view as it was my wife and I anniversary. Didn't want anything spectacular but a comfy room. He promised that it was a very good room. Brilliant ! As we arrived in the room we were at the back of the hotel with the all the chickens and which crow very early in the morning. So we spent the first night in this room but the bed was unbelievably hard you might as well sleep on the floor as at least this way it could be justified. Did not sleep at all and the room itself is very very basic which is fine as you tend to be more outside but the walls, doors and windows are of poor quality and you can hear everyone's conversations and everything else that goes on. Not good waking up to someone walking in the room above and going to the loo. Second night we moved to a room with a little softer bed :) the bathrooms are very small and you might have to slide open the shower doors to use the wc.

Oh well so then we decided to have some dinner, chicken chicken chicken every night :( that was the only thing that gets to one after 4 nights :( but on the plus side the do have a great selection of salads and this did go down well especially in the heat. Breakfast the following morning was olives ,bread ,Turkish cheese and a chef that cooks eggs to order.
Also do not be surprised if the owner comes with a spoon at dinner and sticks it in everything to give it a try. This should be done back of house so no customers see's him sticking it in his mouth and then back into another dish. It's not right but hey it might be a Turkish thing ???

The staff that serve at the bar and restaurant are very friendly and always up for a laugh.

The pro's

Hotel is nicely situated close to the local town which has everything from shops to bars and restaurants. So if you starting feeling that chicken feathers are starting to sprout its only a short walk away.
Oludeniz is also very close and there is a free shuttle that drops you off and picks you up from the hotel which takes you down to Nicholas beach which is stunning .

Our stay was not the best but if your looking for something basic that's close to shops and the beach by bus then it's not a bad hotel but they could work on a couple of issues that would make ones stay a little more comfortable .

We will be coming back to turkey as it is a stunning country but not back to chicken palace ( pink palace )

I have just returned from a stay at the Pink 'Palace' - well we actually only managed 3 nights and that was only because we could not move over the weekend as we had to pay a cancellation charge as soon as Jet2 office was open on Monday.
We arrived at 5pm It was like a scene out of the Inbetweeners movie as we got off our coach.
The reception was dark and dismal, as was the rest of the hotel including the rooms.

The bedrooms were tired and dated but clean bar a few stains on the bed base. There were gaps in the balcony door. The corridoors were noisy you could hear the slightest noise travel down the corridoor into your room, people walking up the stairs, just talking or unlocking doors were all plain to hear and we were in a quiet corner room!
But worst of all were the cockerals from 2am as there was private land next door with a plot full of chickens.

To use the WC the shower door needed to be open so you could straddle!

Around the pool none of the sunbeds have cushions so laying there is anything but relaxing and the odd whiff of sewage also lowered the tone.
The steps from the reception to the pool had a intermediate landing with 12x12 flags inlaid in grass, as the grass and soil had gone, this left 3" gaps between the flags which could be dodgy, Hotel not suitable for the infirm or disabled due to number of steps and and no lifts in the hotel.

The food leaves little to be desired and is all served outdoors - breakfast dinner and tea and these tables had wooden seats with thin cushions, not to bad for having your meal, however the entertainment was also in this area and sitting on a unpadded sunbed all day then a wooden chair for your evening meal and evening entertainment was too much, there was just nowhere to get a comfy seat.
What sealed the move for us was Saturday evening during the meal we had some rain and the smokers who used tables outside (which were colour coded) all came under cover and continued to smoke during our evening meal on adjacent tables.

Meals were OK but very very limited.

Entertainment was next to zero probably due to the time of year but all we had was some "you've been framed" style video clips one evening out of the 3 we stayed.
I could go on, luckily we arranged to be moved to the Destina Hotel 600 meters up the road which I can not rate highly enough! also the Aes hotel looked impressive.

Staff were friendly, looked more family run but wore casual clothes all the time so for a while it was difficult to differenciate staff from guests.
Some of the guests were obviously regulars and seemed to own the place, get the better rooms etc.
Location was good for getting about, located on the main road, 500meters walk from Hisaranu and had a bus stop outside to Olu Deniz (roughly £1) because of the roadway and the steep gradient walking to Olu Deniz is not practical.
There was a free daily shuttle bus from the hotel gate to the private Blue Lagoon beach in Olu Deniz.
I hope this helps portray a TRUE view on this hotel and what you should expect.

Room Tip: One block as undergone some refurbishment so the rooms may be better, but these are located nearer t...

I have just returned from a week at the Pink Palace the first time I have ever done an all inclusive ( late booking that was the cheapest option from our local airport) and it will certainly be the last. Starting on a positive note I have to say I found the staff in my experience all friendly and helpful. The room was basic and our beds were not that uncomfortable. Yes the linen provided was old and tired but it was clean and the beds were changed regularly. Our bathroom was small but ok . The balcony was tiny and I wouldn't have wanted to sit on it as the wood supports looked like they would collapse any day. The pool area is lovely and the pool is a good size but right next to the main road so was extremely busy and of course noisy. The staff played a good variety of music which didn't seem too loud when you were sat around the pool although echoed beautifully at 4 in the morning. Unfortunately there were no comfortable seats to relax in after the evening meal or even during the day . So after the evening meal you just stayed at your table . Some easy chairs would have been most welcome. Overall all the furniture needed revamping. They looked like they had been neglected for years. The dining area was very poorly lit and the one time we had a power cut there was no emergency lighting and they had no candles which was appalling as we were eating at the time.

There was also an unpleasant smell which I think may have been gas rather than drains but not nice . Food - breakfast basic Turkish fare with the option for cooked eggs - sadly the guy cooking seemed to have a knack for burning omlettes. The bread was left uncovered which allowed the sparrows to pick at it. The coffee was cheap and horrible as was the orange juice which given the amount of cheap fresh fruit available is inexcusable. The cereals were also of very poor quality and stale. Home-made bread rolls were frequently raw in places- disgusting
Lunch and dinner were always chicken. We did have meatballs twice during the week and on one occasion they were burnt so inedible. The day they were cooked properly they were very nice, The food always seemed to be lukewarm even if you were there when it was first served Chips were often not cooked properly. Another drawback was nothing was labelled and the staff were unsure of whether the meat was lamb or beef. Salads were fresh tasty and served with a very wide variety of Turkish Mezes. All in all you wouldn't starve but the food was repetitive and if vegetarian or not a chicken lover you did have to go and buy food out as one can not live on carbs alone. Deserts were always syrupy pastries and melon . Alcoholic drinks were served in old nasty plastic glasses unless consumed at the dining area. The red wine was good. The vodka and gin were terrible to be avoided at all cost. If you are a beer drinker don't expect Efes which is the local brew as you won't get it. Something called Perge was on offer a rather weaker alternative that didn't taste too bad as long as you drank it out of a glass. Location is good as you are minutes from Hisaronou where can you can eat out very well cheaply - which we did on four occasions out of 7. Short bus ride to Olu Deniz and the blue lagoon. Try the local Turkish cafes which are along the top on the right hand side as their food is very cheap and excellent. You can have alight meal which will satisfy any short-comings from the hotel without breaking the bank if you are on a budget.
Would I go back - probably not although a lot of people do seem to be repeat visitors . For a week in October it was generally ok but I imagine it would be hell in peak season . To be fair I believe the quality of the food and poor upkeep is down to the very low rates the hotels are paid by the holiday companies. Furthermore the all inclusive options are killing the restaurant and bar trade in Hisaronou Finally the hotel boasted a fitness centre don't even consider this as a factor for making a booking to the hotel it is a joke.

I have just returned from a stay at the Pink 'Palace' - well we actually only managed 1 night and even that was bad enough! We arrived at 5am to which the hotel looked reasonable (pool illuminated etc) the reception was tired and dated and on the journey to our bedroom, the experience did not get better.

The bedrooms are worse than those you would expect when 'slumming-it' travelling and staying in hostels! The beds are rock hard, bedding with stains, pillows like sleeping on tomb-stones, curtains hanging off the rails and balcony overlooking chickens! You could also not even shut the shower door as the toilet overhangs!

Around the pool none of the sunbeds have cushions so laying there is anything but relaxing. The constant whiff of sewage also does nothing to set the holiday tone. The hotel is not positioned 'by a mountainside' it is actually right beside the main road to Olu Deniz, I didn't enjoy my afternoon sunbathing beside the equivalent of the M25!

The food leaves little to be desired and is all served outdoors with flies, wasps and birds picking at it! The tables are not set and drinks have to be consumed out of chewed up old beakers!

I could go on, luckily we arranged to be moved to the AES Club down the road which I can not rate highly enough! This hotel is impeccable and I would return every year!

I hope this helps portray a TRUE view on this hotel and what you should expect.
