“Lovely place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2011

We (me and my partner) stayed in the Belchan beach for two weeks at the beginning of june. What a fantastic time we had, the hotel is spotless and the rooms cleaned daily and fresh towels, the maids even left the towels in shapes of swans ect on your bed somtimes. The pool area is also spotless and the pool cleaned each morning. The staff behind the bar cannot do enough for you and especially Jeff who is the best bar man i have ever met, made everyone feel welcome and had lots of drinks round the bar at night with other guests, he was just so pleasant and always offers advice ect on trips, resturants and places to go. The hotels runs a card system which means you dont have to have any money on you while round the pool or at the bar, and while this is handy for us, the bar staff lose out on their tips, there is a tip box at reception and while paying the bill daily as we did, the tip box on reception i believe goes to reception staff, only the one on the bar goes to the bar staff and i feel it was the bar staff that made our holiday special. Olu denzis is a lovely place and have visited it twice now and would definatly go back again very clean friendly and safe.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 203 and heard no noise from the bar round the corner, and as my partner is a light...

Small friendly hotel . Not far from beach. Friendly staff and as Roy and Lesley-Anne said (we were in the room next door) the staff were not in the best form, but in saying that it didnt have any effect on the holiday.
A trip to the fish market in Fethiye is a must. The Seahorse Beach is a fantastic place just to chill and swim in th eperfectly blue waters . They will send transport to pick you up and free transport back. Hectors at the end of the road dose the best deal for Currency exchange.
Jeep safari , Quad biking and boat trip all a must.
All in all we had the mpst relaxing holiday ever and a perfect place to spend our 25th wedding anniversary .

Room Tip: The air con is free . Pool side rooms are larger with fridge.

I can't add much else to all the wonderful things that everyone has to say about this hotel and Olu Deniz, but wanted to say how much I enjoyed my stay at Belcehan Beach.

Jeff and Halil at the bar were both absolute legends, I only wish I had barmen like them in my local! All the other staff were brilliant, and we were made to feel very welcome. Rooms were perfect for our needs and cleaned daily, breakfast was good, and the free air con was a blessing!

I can't recommend this hotel highly enough and I'm really looking forward to visiting again soon.

We had read up on this hotel before we booked so were really looking forward to our holiday. It was a real little gem in a great location. Only 33 rooms which all over looked the beautiful pool and bar area. Our room was cleaned every day and linen and towels changed daily by friendly maids. Breakfast room also over looked pool, we always started off the day with cereals and fruit and yoghurt and toast and tea, some people complained about the `same thing every morning`,but most people i know eat the same thing every morning at home anyway!!, and we were not disappointed. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the pool and bar area were really relaxing. Not five star luxury but we didn`t pay five star prices. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Olu Deniz.
The resort itself was lovely, a bit smaller than I had thought it would be but the Dolmus was easily available and cheap. We went into Hisaronu and Fethiye both of which were great. We loved the beach, though the sea shelved quite sharply so not ideal for children or anyone a bit nervous in the water, though great for us. Inexpensive to eat and drink in lovely reataurants and bars around the area. We particularly loved Anfora and Josephs on the main strip but there were also some lovely restaurants on the other road (the one the dolmus uses) our favourite of which was Ata Lagoon.
We did a couple of trips with Focus Tours, whom we were thought were excellent!!! The jeep safari particularly ay £18 had us out for twelve hours and was fantastic, a brilliant day with smashing company. We also did their boat trip and at £8 was great value. Also lunch was provided on both tours.
All this with wall to wall sunshine, what more could we have wanted. Thanksxx

Room Tip: We had a corner room 206 which was fantastic

38 of us stayed in the area for our daughters wedding,
the hotel was central, small as we like our hotels, exceptionally clean, the cleaner worked so hard and left lovley touches petals and shaped towels on the bed.
clean towels, sheets daily, air con brilliant.
staff work very hard, friendly and polite yet seemed subdued, they need to have more of a laugh and banter with the customers, we felt this was due to management suppression.
stayed half board, could not fault food it was lovely , meze's fab and fresh sea bass, meat dishes, yet became boring for 2 weeks so ate out a few nights, Buzz bar great food. treat yourself to a chicken kebab and can of Efes and sit on the beach for lunch !!
3 lire for a bottle of water from the hotel, 1 lire from the corner shop so put in your beach bag or you will be challenged!!

We decended on the Deluxe hotel were our daughter and husband were staying for a night at the bar to meet all the wedding guests, we had such a laugh, us Liverpool scousers know how to enjoy ourselves !!!
the Rose Garden did us proud we had a great night of dancing and fun.
We spent time on the lagoon free transfer to sea horse beach, fab chilled out days swimming in the lagoon.

Well what can we say about the wedding, we booked through the web with Ouldeniz Weddings it was stunning, professionally run. the day was perfect such fun and many tears cried the couple were stunning. we had musicians whom played from 4pm till 11pm they were amazing.
The Meri Hotel were the wedding took place was beautiful with our own private stone granite terrace overlooking the lagoon, the reception was on the lawned terrace and food was lovely. flowers and wedding cake were perfect, never had such tasty cake a fatless sponge filled with creme pattissiere and fresh fruits.

The VELOX jewellers on the main strip next to Harry's bar did us proud the service was amazing, I had my 30 year engagement ring re styled and it was brilliant the craftmanship, service and price. My mum had her engagement ring made into a diamond pendant for our daughter as a wedding gift, it was stunning. would encourage anyone with old jewellry to take it to this jewllers and discuss your options, much cheaper and better service than the UK.

Room Tip: do not have room groud floor you need to request a room with a balcony stunning views

We have just returned from 2 wks at this hotel and are already looking to book again next year. The rooms are cleaned every day and fresh towels supplied. We even had the towels arranged in hearts with petals sprinkled over the bed, in the shower tray and even on the toilet seat!!! The pool area is cleaned daily & the pool water tested. Breakfast was Turkish, but cereals & a toaster were also supplied. The staff are all friendly especially the barman Jeff, who we've now added on facebook as a friend. The hotel even provide luggage scales at reception, very handy - no surcharges. We ate at Toscanos, Bella & Gusta, Sultan Ahmets & Madras & would highly recommend them. The blue lagoon is a sight not to be missed and the water there is so warm. Of a night the tequila bar is highly recommended.

Room Tip: The rooms nearer to reception do have added noise from the nearby karaoke bar.

I stayed at the Belcehan Beach Hotel along with my boyfriend and a couple of our friends at the end of August/first week of September. We arrived in the early hours of the morning (after a horrendous journey from the airport - Turkish drivers are crazy). We were checked in and taken to our rooms promptly.

The rooms themselves are a good size and the two higher levels all have balconies overlooking the pool which are lovely.

The air conditioning in the room was a god send, couldn't have coped without it. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom which is also really handy.

We stayed bed and breakfast and although we didnt have breakfast everyday, what we did have was ok. The selection wasn't massive but it was typical of what I would expect to find.

The pool and pool area were excellent. We didn't struggle to find sunbeds at all and never felt that the pool was too busy. The hotel was full when we were there so they obviously have enough sun beds for everybody!

The pool and bar manager Jeff was an absolute diamond. Jeff and the rest of the bar staff made us feel welcome and comfortable from our very first day. He is so friendly and does all he can to make you happy. Jeff knows a lot about Olu Deniz and is the best person to ask about where to eat and drink, what excursions to do and most importantly what companies to avoid!

We booked a quad safari through Focus Tourism without speaking to Jett first. Bad mistake. When we got to the place where the quads were kept we were horrified. They did not look safe and at first we were told two of the bikes were broken and that we would have to 'double up'. When we refused we were suddenly told that all of the bikes were working again! When we booked the quad safari at the companies offices in Olu Deniz we were told that we didn't need a driving licence as the safari was all off road. When we got to the actual place where the quads were, we were told to sign a contract which stated that all riders had to have a valid driving licence and would be liable to pay £6000 if a quad bike was damaged. When we questioned the driving licence issue we were told that it was required as some of the safari was on the road through villages! Obviously we were mis sold the safari so in the end we refused to do it and demanded a lift back to Olu Deniz. We got some of our money back from Focus, but not all. Needless to say, avoid Focus Tourism at all costs!

After telling Jeff about out horrible experience with Focus, he recommended we go to see Sky sports instead. We ended up going on a jeep safari though them and it was absolutely brilliant. Got to see so much of Turkey and it was great value for money too!

My boyfriend also did the paragliding with Sky Sports. If you plan to do the paragliding do it with Sky Sports. They were the first company to do it and are the best!

Anyway back to the hotel....the rooms are cleaned everyday very thoroughly. Even the windows are cleaned everyday!! The hard working cleaners start about half 9 and work right up until about half 4, they really are brilliant. Every part of the hotel was spotless.

The hotel operates a card system for the bar which means you don't need to carry cash with you, again which is brilliant!

A couple of restaurants we would recommend are the steak house with the motorbikes outside (can't remember the name but Jeff will also recommend this one), the Sun Cafe down on the front is amazing, Toscana is lovely and I would also recommend a take away kebab from the buzz bar. Help bar have live music some nights which was also nice!!

We are already planning another visit to the Belcehan Beach Hotel because we loved it so much. This was my second trip to Olu Deniz and my boyfriends Third so needless to say we love Olu Deniz and thanks to the staff at the Belcehan Beach Hotel, this was our best holiday yet!! Really couldn't recommend it enough!
