“Lovely experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

Beautiful hotel in stunning surroundings, spotlessly clean with attentive but not OTT staff. Spent 10 days here celebrating my partners big birthday and couldnt have been happier. Our room was large and bright with a lovely balcony over looking the pool area. Olu Deniz is a 5 minute stroll away, perfect location!!

We just got back from montabello and had a lovely holiday. The hotel itself is lovely and clean. Downstairs area for breakfast and lunch upstairs for dinner. The breakfast we found to be very poor. Fried eggs one day, omelettes another, pancakes another, no bacon, sausage, beans which we had in other hotels when we've stayed at oludeniz, the lunch isn't that great but there's something there to eat? But dinner was lovely plenty to choose. Our room was nice and clean Although the television was on one wall and our bed was on the wall beside it so you could see the television from our bed. There wasn't much room space for clothes either, so we had to use our suitcase for storage. The shower in our room was lovely but the floor in the shower was very slippy. The maids changed our towels daily and our room was also cleaned. But besides all that the hotel was a lovely hotel, batu the entertainer was great although could of done with some help.

This was our third trip to Olu Deniz but our first time all inclusive we are so glad we picked the Montebello resort . We arrived just after 11 at night and were greeted by friendly efficient night staff we were shown to 2 rooms next to each other 2105&2106 which were lovely Free aircon and fridge in room (a rarity in Turkey)
The food in the hotel was plentiful and varied though not suitable for the burger/plzza /english breakfast and chips crowd. The stews are to die for and I don't think we have eaten such deliciously cooked veg in years.
The staff are all polite and friendly and go out of their way to help even when faced with ignorant mannerless people. The hotel should be very proud of the staff whatever their job. As other reviews have put there is not a lot of evening entertainment but who needs it when you can sit in beautiful surroundings actually talking to each other and meeting other guests. Why people need entertainment provided I don't know most seem unable to put their mobile phones down and it isn't' just the younger ones. The Montebello resort has got it right at night entertainment is available in Olu Deniz which is only a couple of minutes walk away.
All in all a big thumbs up for the Montebello resort

Been to Olu Deniz several times but this was our first time at the Montebello Resort Hotel. Very modern hotel and very clean.
We had a fantastic time and were gutted when it was time to return to the UK.
Excellent food, even enjoyed the chips at breakfast time one morning too! Good choice as well. Never felt hungry.
My friend was taken ill one day and the staff were fantastic when they assisted him. Could highly commend every single member of staff there.
The only minor faults we could mention are that the lighting in the rooms were not fantastic and I would recommend you to take your own hair dryer if you use them as the ones supplied in the bathroom were not so good.
Everything else was fantastic though and we will definitely 100% stay at the Montebello Resort again, next year!

Had a great time at Montebello Resort. Doing a great job for first year all inclusive, the food is fantastic - lots of different dishes each day and always fresh. Available drinks were fine for us and there were fridges in the rooms so we enjoyed our duty free cold too!

The pool area is great, we didn't have a problem finding sunbeds although a lot of them would have towels on by 8am. The music round the pool was hit and miss, as was the volume! We were glad we had earphones and our own mp3s.

Our room was quite small with little storage but it was clean and had a great view from the balcony. Shower was fantastic!

Room cleaning was poor - our towels were only changed once, bed was made a few times but the cleaner would only usually reach our room at 5-6pm when we were trying to get ready for dinner. We got unlucky with this as our family's cleaner in a different room was fantastic with fresh flowers left every other day.

Our cleaner was also very rude on our last day - the hotel requests feedback via questionnaire which is a great idea and our maid grabbed ours from me to look for how we had rated the cleaning, shouted something in Turkish and gesturing before storming out with the questionnaire despite us requesting it back - we filled another in however but reception were not interested in the fact that the maid had behaved unprofessionally!

The dining room staff were all excellent, particularly Gokhan and Ridvan who would always stop to chat. We had some difficulty with staff not speaking much English.

Entertainment was very poor and there was not really anything for adults, particularly at night. We had friends staying at another hotel who had something on every night - in 11 days the montebello showed 2 films and had a karaoke night. Would benefit from something like a Turkish night, BBQ, etc and we heard many people saying the same. The bar also does not serve cocktails which we went out into oludeniz for some nights - we felt they were missing an opportunity.

Dirty glasses, cups and plates sat in communal areas outside rooms for up to 4 days and the ladies communal toilets were frequently dirty with no toilet paper. We mentioned this to staff a couple of times but felt they should have someone checking these areas regularly.

So food and hotel in general is great for what we paid but improvement needed to keep in competition with others in the resort if they are going to charge similar next season.

We have just got back home from a month long wonderful holiday at this lovely hotel as stated in other reviews it has been rebuilt to a very high standard the rooms are beautiful and bathroom had a double shower with rainhead as well as hand held shower. The maids did a first class thorough job of keeping the room spotless, sheets and towels changed almost daily, free aircon, however the safe was £15 a week, pricey we thought, all the staff at this hotel deserve a special mention we never encounted anyone who would not go out of their way to be helpful Gokan, Ergin, Ridvin and young Cansor among many who were friendly but not pushy. The food we found to be really good plenty of choice and the desserts were fabulous, the management listened to clients complaints and tried to address any problems, more sunbeds were brought in and more tables and chairs, addmitedly they could do with even more but they are going down the right road, this is the first season of all inclusive and i think they are doing a great job. Yes there is always room for improvment and as other reviewers have said the animation team were dire (apart from Bhatu who seemed to be the only one with any go) they do need to up their game or lose their jobs perhaps, No outside entertainment was brought in and we thought this unusual but maybe this will change further into the season. All in all a great hotel but with a few tweaks regarding entertainment it could be even better,we will definitely be back and hope to have the same room even!! (top floor at the back) Olu deniz is a beautiful place and hotel is surrounded by stunning mountain views what more could you ask for.

We stayed at the Montebello for our anniversary with 2 other friends. Everything was great, the staff were very eager to please, rooms were well furnished and very comfortable. Food was lovely and there was plenty to choose from. Animation team tried really hard to get the guests involved in the activities during the day but entertainment in the evening was poor.
Olu Deniz is a lovely place and this is our 3rd visit although this is the first time we have stayed at the Montebello it definitely wont be our last. It is a lovely, clean, well run hotel that caters for all your needs.
The only negative is the call to prayer from the nearby mosque which happens at 5 o clock every morning. If you are a light sleeper it will probably wake you as it did me but its not enough to put me off returning next year :-)
