“Best Holiday Ever!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

I have just recently returned from a truly amazing holiday at the Asena beach/Liberty hotel in Olu deniz with my boyfriend and 2 friends. This hotel was the best we have ever stayed in and have only been home for 3 days but are dying to get back there as soon as possible!! Everything was brilliant about this particular hotel from the friendly staff, fantastic evening entertainment displayed everynight, the freshly cooked food and the cleanliness!! The hotel in situated in a fantastic area on the main strip of Olu deniz where there is a wide range of bars, restaurants and shops with everything to offer. The beautiful beach was only 5 minutes walk away this was a purpose built beach but about 15 minutes away is the famous blue lagoon that cost 5 Lira to get on to but it was truly breathtaking. Just to sum this holiday up in one word it was FANTASTIC!!, and i will definately be returning as soon as i can!!

Room Tip: We stayed in the standard rooms which were very lovely and clean, and rooms were cleaned everyday. L...

This was our 3rd visit to this hotel and yet again we have had a fantastic holiday!!! Many thanks again to the wonderful staff especially Anil, Denis and all the boys at the pool bar. Spotlessly clean hotel, nothing is too much trouble for the staff.

Just got back from 2 weeks staying at this hotel and had an amazing time. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and have to say a huge thank you to Cruise who looked after us all at the adult only pool bar. What a lovely bloke, he really made us welcome.

There was 14 of us in total, with 4 of us put in the unrefurbished part originally, however we asked to be moved the next day so we could all be together and this was done for us. The refurbed rooms are amazing, they are large, modern and lovely showers and lots of wardrobe space. The decor is what you would expect from a modern hotel. If they do all the other blocks to this standard I do not doubt the price of this hotel will skyrocket.

The food was really good, it was different every night with a really good variety. It was also always hot. I've seen reviews complaining about having been pestered to buy the orange juice, this was not the case. The waiter came round every morning, asked if you would like some and if you said no left, that was it. I actually did buy it quite often as it was really nice.

Overall I cannot fault this hotel (once moved to the lovely refurbed block). The staff were all really helpful and lovely.

If you are going as a large party and want to privately hire a boat for the day, find the NINJA down at the beach and hire it direct with the Captain, he'll do you a great deal and we actually ended up going out 3 times as we enjoyed it so much.

Unlike other parts of Turkey I didn't feel harrassed to go in shops or bars and everyone was really friendly.

Room Tip: Try to request a room in the new refurbed part of the hotel. Also, the room I had on the 2nd floor...

2nd visit to the lovely resort of Olu Deniz but 1st visit to this hotel. Travelled with my mum & sister and had 2 rooms booked, had requested the rooms be together and had emailed the hotel a few weeks before to request this.
Upon arrival at midnight, we was given a room in block 4 and the other in block 1. I asked if we could be next door to one another or at least in the same block and was told to return the next door and they would move me nearer. The room i was given in block 1 was a family room for 1 person which i thought was odd. First impressions of both rooms we got given were poor, they were generally shabby and in need of some TLC but i have to say very clean. Tiles were cracked in bathroom and ceiling paint all peeling. The other twin room in block 4 was shabby but very small with nowhere to put your cases.
The next day we were moved to the top floor of block 1 and was next to one another. These rooms were a lot better and mine was the end one so had a bit of a larger balcony than my mums & sisters next door. Plenty of wardrobe space. My only niggle was the bed, it was rock hard and the sheet wasnt even the same size as the bed so it didnt fit. I had a bad back everytime i got up. My mum & sisters room which had twin beds was much more comfortable.
Also the shower cubicles are very small and i banged my elbow a few times on the tap bending down to wash my feet.
The hotel is very clean and is actually very nice. The grounds are lovely, the pool and the staff are all excellent. Couldnt fault these at all.
We was b & b which suited us as prefer to go to different restaurants for meal at night. Breakfast is what you would expect, cereals, juices, tea/coffee, toast, meats, cheeses etc. You can get pancakes & omlettes too. Bacon once a week on a tuesday. They have kiwi (which had no taste) and cherry juices in the machine but a guy who is a real character comes around with fresh squeezed orange juice which you pay for, either small or large. ive read some reviews about being hassled to have your evening meal there or to buy the orange. This happened once regarding evening meal and we just said no and that was it. The guy with the orange juice asks every day but you just say no, he doesnt pester you and some people have said they didnt know you had to pay for it. I find this weird because they was a sign up with the price and its also clearly indicated on the information sheet you get when you check in. Maybe people need to read this!!
You get a credit card type for all your purchases, drinks etc and they get added to your bill including mini bar items in your room. Make sure you get a receipt everytime you get something and if you spend a lot in the hotel settle your bill every couple of days.
All in all it is a lovely hotel, its very clean, lovely grounds, close to everything, nice pool, very friendly staff. it was just the beds, bed linen and small showers/rooms that let it down and prevented a 5 star review from me. would return but would probably upgrade to one of the new upgraded rooms which you can sort out at reception.
all of us got bit by the mozzies which is nothing to do with the hotel i know but take some insect repellent or you will be the all you can eat buffet :-)

Room Tip: go for one of the upgraded rooms or an end room if you want a slightly larger balcony.

From the moment we walked into the hotel everyone was so helpfully and friendly. The room was very clean and adequate . All the staff working at the pool bar were great they treated us like friends rather than customers. We were on holiday with a group of friends and nobody had a bad word to say about the hotel.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone .
Watch out for Ozzy at the pool bar !

Room Tip: Avoid rooms facing the street and pool bar.

I have just spent 2 weeks at the Liberty Hotel in Oludeniz and I didn't want to come home. It is based on the main strip with the bars and shops so you don't have far to walk to venture out. Food and drink is reasonably priced but the hotel only offers full board, which doesn't include drinks. This means you have to buy all your drinks and lunch.
The food offered at the hotel was nice, lots of variety so we never went hungry!
The hotel staff and the locals were very pleasant and friendly - they try to encourage you to use their bar/restaurants but they aren't pushy or rude.
There are plenty of activities to do outside the hotel - we went on several boat trips and even tried paragliding off the mountain, neither were particularly expensive and there is always room for bartering!
The only downside to Oludeniz is the beach - it is pebbles and not very user friendly getting in and out of the water. However, the boat trips more than made up for this as they stop in small bays and allow you to jump of to swim!

Room Tip: Rooms in the main block with reception have just been upgraded. Ask for a room not facing the strip...
