Returned after 2 weeks stay, with 2 kids, 9 & 14. Very hot as we like it but surprisingly not much of a breeze, think you need to go up higher up the mountain for the breeze. Nice clean hotel and the pool is lovely and cool (nothing worse than a freezing cold pool). Hotel grounds are lovely. Food is typical 3* all inclusive, so no prawns, steak etc but hey you wont starve!, loads of snacks during the day kept you going. No queues for food other than for the ice creams which were well worth the wait. Local larger and wine was nice and no queues at bar.
Entertainment during day was mainly water polo and water basketball. Night entertainment was run on weekly schedule so same shows repeated if you stayed for 2 weeks, shows ok but nothing to write home about. Could of done more for the 7-13 year old kids like a disco just for them after entertainment at night.
Oludinez (5 mins walk away) was nice and you don’t get hassled at night like in Egypt which was nice. We ate out a couple of nights and had a lovely steak at the shadow bar, something I wasn’t expecting for the price we paid. Got the local bus up to Hisanaru one night and had night there, bit lively than oludeniz well worth a visit. Has more bars and a small fair.
Beach in Oludeniz was great fun, good waves and warm. You need a pair of well fitting beach shoes to walk on the shingles, my daughter lost her sandals after 2 minutes in the sea, you can not walk on the stones bare footed without being in pain . They were cheap enough to buy there. The blue lagoon to us was just a stagnant warm lake and a let down, there’s a hotel bus to take you but you will need to get a taxi back if you come back earlier than 3. I’d say go and try it out, but we only lasted 20 mins!
As for trips we tried the jeep safari and 5 island boat tour. Jeep safari was a fantastic full day, water fights all the way ending with a mud bath, pictures they took were fantastic. Defo do if you have kids, ours loved it, and do the water rapids when you stop at gorge £10 each. Its great fun and you get to see the villages whist travelling. In hind sight wish I took sweets to throw for the kids that come out and wave to you. My advice is take a waterproof bag that you can put cameras in, and don’t wear any expensive clothes. Prepare to get drenched lol. The 5 island boat tour was nice and relaxing and kids enjoyed jumping off the boat into the sea. Trips are surprisingly cheap for what you get.
Dogs (Johnny and Tony) in hotel are no problem, there more like living rugs, they just crash out in reception with the heat. Any issues Anna on hand to help out, she did have to go on mic a few times to lay down the law on the sun beds. Be up for 7.30 if you want one by the pool!
While you there a must is the onsite Turkish bath and wet shave at hairdressers.....bliss
Overall, we had a nice holiday and would recommend the hotel and area, but just needs more facilities for kids.
