Don't know what all the fuss is about some people need to get a grip in here as it is making it deceiving about your stay here. Myself and my partner have been in the resort for two weeks now and the only fault we could find is the room cleaning standard needs to be steeped up a notch. The staff are all pleasant and helpful the entertainment manager serkan is there for all your needs, also the bar and restaurant manager Mustafa is exceptional on being approachable for any complaint you might have. We have now booked to come back next June with whole family due to our experience here.
Keep up the good work.

Me and my boyfriend arrived at 5 in the evening and the friendly receptionist checked us in and had someone take our luggage to our room. No fuss!

Staff were all fantastic especially the young bar staff, they were more than lovely and always having a laugh.

Room was great, lovely bathroom. Only complaint would be the TV's sound carrys through the wall. Next door started watching the news every night at around 11/12.00 which is ridiculous from their part anyway!

Food- We are not fussy eaters in anyway. i though the food was terrible. The choice is rubbish, its mostly stews and weird meat that isn't cooked properly. Every night that there was chicken, it was pink inside and almost every night the chips were horrendous. Almost tasted stale! They had pasta everyday which was just plain and there was no cheese to put on!
I can't fault the breakfast though! The omelettes were lovely!

Location- We found the location perfect and the walk to the beach took no time! They have coaches that go to 'paradise beach'. Do not bother going, its not very nice and its not the real blue lagoon! (Even though the lunch there was fantastic!)

Cleanliness- We found the pool side absolutely fine! There was lots of cups and plates left round the table tennis and pool table which wasn't very nice.
Our room got cleaned almost every day. But one day we went to the mud bath, came home, had a shower and the mud was still in the shower until the day we left. We found it terrible that the cleaners did not do something about this!

Overall we had a fantastic stay and none of these issues ruined our holiday. but these issues are so small and easily figured out, its frustrating that they dont just do something about it!! Otherwise it could be a FANTASTIC hotel.

Thanks to all the lovely staff there :)

p.s you must go to the karaoke night that they have! Its great fun!

Room Tip: Block B seemed the best block!

Stayed at this hotel from 9-23 September , after reading the reviews we were very concerned about our stay, but after a lovely warm welcome when we arrived , my husband was offered a cold beer and taken to our room which was very well furnished. Amazing shower ! Single beds , when asked for a double but made do . Food was very good , lots of choice , bit repetitive but good standard . Staff were very friendly and helpful . Sun-beds, there were plenty and even with people reserving beds there was enough for everyone . Housekeeping was our only bugbear , our room didn't always get cleaned and linen wasnt changed in the whole 2 weeks , towels were an issue too ! But ..... Overall we had a lovely holiday and hope that by next year all the little problems will he sorted , as it's a smashing hotel in a smashing location .

We stayed at marcan resort for 16 nights could not fault the staff at all they were fabulous so friendly, always willing to help if you had a problem, the way some people spoke to the staff was appalling especially Efe on reception he took some verbal abuse I felt sorry for him, our room was cleaned every day fresh towels every two days, entertainment was a bit dire, I think the could do with having a full animation team rather than it being left to one person, food was ok, evenings was a bit of hit and miss my husband got beef curry one lunch time and it had chicken in as well as beef which he could not eat it, breakfasts were fab omelette fried eggs pancakes really good, snack bar was really good fresh pizzas pannini's burgers and chips this run from 2-5 really worth skipping lunch time for, so on whole really had a lovely stay in this hotel and yes we would stay again

Room Tip: D block 2nd and 3rd floor had best views

We have just arrived back from marcan resort after a 7 day stay. 4 of us went me my wife, sister in law and her huspand. After booking we regulary checked the reviews on trip advisor and have to say nearly every review was bad everyday a bad review was getting posted, afrer a few weeks we got worried and decided to try change the hotel. After speaking to our travel agent the cost of changing was over £100.00 each way to much, specially since like most we booked it as being a 5/4star. So we decided to just suck it up and stick with it and not let the reviews ruin our holiday.. When we arrived at around 11pm we were met with a plesant greeting and checked in with no problems we requested non ground floor rooms in the same block and thats exactly what we got. While we were there i noticed the staff were spoke to quite rudely by people but they stil made an effort to rectify there issues. With us all the staff were friendly and nice. The hotel is aware of all the negative issues from trip advisor and did everything to be friendly.. We were also concerned with thefts people wrote about we had no reason to be we had nothing taken or moved nor did we hear anybody else say they had any problems. The hotel is stil developing so you have to expect a few issues.. Over all our holiday was fun and just what we were hoping it would be.if i have to point a negative out its the floors and fixtures could have been cleaned better. Wet mopping of the floor rather than dry mopping as a sugestion. Also you will find if you talk to the staff with respect and be polite you will get much better results if u have any issues. You have to bare in mind most of the negative reviews were from peak summer when kids were off..so most holiday makers went as familys so its bound to harder for a new hotel.. And to just clarify the sunbed issue. There are neatly 200 sunbeds but what people do is leave there towels on them all day so nobody else can use them. Even when they go to lunch or go out we saw this happen many times.. The food in my opinion wasnt great so chose to not have much ,however the snack bar food was great and couldnt be faulted. The location was also perfect.. All in all i would say dont be put of by the bad reviews....

My wife and I spent 10 days at the Marcan 7-17th September, and have to say that it was one of the best places we've been to. Along with probably everyone who goes here will have read the reviews on Tripadvisor, and I really don't know why these people go on holiday, other than to pick fault with every minute detail, personally I like to get as chilled out as possible, and this place was the place alright!...The room was clean and bright, bathroom excellent, shower the best yet. Lovely views from the top floor terrace. Food was fine, a bit on the repetitive side, but tasty nonetheless. As with previous places the lunch was the poorest, but the snack bar certainly made up for it. The omelette's in the morning were a treat. Bar was fine, no queues...Beer Excellent.
Pool was great, no hassle with sun loungers, only thing I could say is that I think there should be a dedicated pool person to keep on top of the cleaning all day, but I think towards the end of our stay they had someone on it.
All of the staff were friendly and always said hello, no problems there.
Serkan the entertainer was very friendly and not pushy in the slightest.
The location is perfect, just a short walk from Bazaar Street which was a great place to go. Special mention to Diego at Heatbeat pub, and George at Josephs restaurant!
All in all had a great time, and will definitely be back.
Oh, and yes the Mosque was loud, but you get used to it!

Room Tip: We were on the top floor of block D, which had the best views.

Just arrived back from a lovely relaxing holiday at the Marcan resort hotel in ole deniz we really enjoyed our stay, the hotel was very nice, the bed was really comfy, and the shower was amazing, we are already thinking of booking again next September. The staff were very helpful and extremely hard working, and although they must have been tired working in the heat they were always happy and cheerful. The rooms were always cleaned when you put the sign in the door and we always had plenty if towels. The pool was kept spotlessly clean and checked daily . I felt a bit embarrassed as they were quite a few moaning British Minnie's and I really don't know what their problem was I bet the Turks think we are an ungrateful bunch. All in all we really enjoyed thus hotel and will probably be back next September Simon and Shirley Lenton
