“Belcekiz - Amazing”

Club Belcekiz Beach Hotel

My wife and I were invited to a wedding at the blue lagoon in Olu Deniz and we decided to book 2 weeks at the Belcekiz beach. Wow, what a great hotel. I know that if everyone writes good reviews the price will go up, but we have already booked for 09 so hay ho!!!

Where can i start?. The food was amazing. Every sort of dish and a desert section as long as most hotels mains. I could have eaten there for the rest of my life!!!

The Pool was great, but should have a 2 hour max for unattended sun beds. (we found some people reserving beds for the whole day and only using them for about 10 minutes – naughty!!) Pool Towels changed whenever you liked, which is also very nice.

You even get poolside service and a top up even if you didn’t ask for it– Memet!!!!
I often wondered how my glass kept filling on its own. But I wasn’t complaining – hick !!

The entertainment is a lot of fun, but don’t expect “River Dance or Penn and Teller”. Games during the day are also a lot of fun. Thanks EDDIE, KENNY , EBO and SONNY - Great Job.

All in all a great holiday – rooms slightly small but very clean and the staff are spot on.

I am now bordering on writing “War and Peace” so I will sign off but I think you get the message. Its great.

“Big up the Belcekiz!!”

We booked the Belcekiz after it was recommended by friends and we were so glad that we did. We had considered booking a cheaper three star and paying for food but probably ended up saving a packet as Olu Deniz is not a cheap resort compared to others we have visited. By far the best thing about this hotel is the staff, they are so friendly and helpful it has to be seen to be believed. When we arrived they saw we had a child and asked other passengers on the coach his name. When we got off they were calling out to him, saying hello to him by name, we couldn't believe it.

The rooms were great and really clean. When we arrived they had put a cot in the room but the beds were so big we asked them to take this out. The main pool is great, the pool bar relaxing and our little one couldn't go more than a few yards before someone called to him, wanted to give him a cuddle or a high five. The plaza bar is nice although not really for children as there's less room for them to run around.

The food was outstanding with so much choice it was incredible. There was a whole buffet stand of starters/salads, a BBQ grill, a whole buffet stand of mains, a kitchen area where food was cooked fresh e.g.omlettes in the morning, and a whole stand of deserts. Wednesday is curry night, Thursday Thai and they do a splendid Sunday roast...Yorkshire puds and gravy to die for. The snack bar made a nice change if you wanted a burger/ spag bol/ toasted sandwich etc. The only criticism is that it should stay open all day and not shut when lunch is on in the main restaurant. The house wine was fine although if you drink spirits they only offer vodka, gin and brandy as all inc.

The main beach is just in front of the hotel, although it is a little bit stoney and the water shelves deeply. However if you do go you can just pop back to the hotel for lunch and to use the toilet etc. (But do watch out for the paragliders as they land just outside the hotel) The lagoon is only a short distance away and you can get a free bus from the hotel to one of the beach clubs; but be warned, it is a litte expensive after you've paid for a sun-lounger, drinks and lunch and the beach can be a little bit cramped. The water is perfect though especially for children (Sandy beach and is very shallow for a long way out).

The resort itself has everything you need eg supermarket, pharmacy, gift shops etc. If you want a good jewellers I'd recommend Velox just on the main road close to the hotel.

People return again and again and you can see why as you can start relaxing as soon as you arrive. Special mention should be made to the boys on the entertainment team - Eddie, Kenny and Ibo.

In terms of criticism - the snack bar should stay open all day, the kids club should shut at the end of the season and not in Sept, and the ice-cream should be open all day for the little ones (and big ones). We also had a bit of a row with the hotel hairdressers after it transpired that their price list was the start of the seasons prices and they had gone up considerably since then. Basically they quote prices in pounds and euros and when you work out what you think it should cost it turns out that their exchange rate is different to yours and it costs a whole lot more. I suggest you get a price in Lira before you buy anything (unless you want to pay in pounds). That goes for anything else you buy through the hotel like car hire.

“Still a great holiday but....”

Club Belcekiz Beach Hotel

Just returned after our 2nd holiday at Belcekiz Beach. Food, service, cleanliness were all as good as last time, but something really need to be done about the standard of entertainment.

Last time, we went in June/ July and there were lots of kids who enjoyed the entertainment, but this time it was September and the resort was mostly occupied by adults, most of whom ignored the shows.

The entertainment programme was largely the same as last year, but if anything it was even worse than before. The resort has a great amphitheatre, with good lighting and sound and really deserves a lot better than it is getting in entertainment.

However, apart from this, Belcekiz is still the place to go and no doubt we will go for a third time in the next year or two. However, we will definitely give the theatre a BIG miss until they start to put out some decent shows.

“Fantastic and Relaxed”

Club Belcekiz Beach Hotel

Our first experience of all inclusive and we were a bit apprehensive. We should not have worried, this hotel was great!!
If you want a relaxing holiday with very high quality food, immaculate clean surroundings (the toilets were cleaned every 20 minutes!!) amazingly friendly staff that just can't do enough for you, and a great location then go for this hotel!

On the beach, although we didn't use it as we stayed by the pool, 15 minutes walk to the lagoon which was beautiful, has food available & great facilities & is well worth a day there. It costs a couple of pounds to get in. The hotel is just around the corner from the main street, which is pretty. Olu Deniz is a relaxing beach resort as a whole.

Have a drink, watch the sun set & paragliders, then enjoy a lovely meal with fantastic attententive friendly staff. (Just a note when we stayed it was not neccessary for men to wear long trousers at the evening meal but smart shorts were accepted, most ladies dressed up).

I would say that anyone who faults this hotel is being really picky! We tried to think of faults but to be honest couldn't.

We will go back to this hotel, so check out this lovely area of Turkey, but don't tell us when you go as we will be jealious !!!

“First time, won't be our last”

Club Belcekiz Beach Hotel

Sep 26, 2008

We had originally booked for our usual hotel, but after all the poor reviews we changed to the Belcekiz and we are all so glad we did!!!!!
The staff are superb and the food is devine. Thanks to all the staff and a big 'Merhaba' from us.
The pool service just makes you lazy, drinks brought to you while you sunbathe.......the snack-bar menu is more than adequate and the restaurant staff where very attentative, from drinks to clearing the tables and the after work dancing they performed was truly amazing!!!
The entertainment team make sure that there is plenty to do if you want to do it but never pressurise you into getting involved if you just want to relax by the pool.
I can recommend paying the extra and try the thai menu. The service was 2nd to none and we had a meal for 2 with a bottle of wine and dessert for £30......well worth it!
The kids club was great, nice little break for the younger ones during the heat of the day and having english speaking workers was a great plus.
The gardens were beautiful, well maintained with gorgeous flowers and scents.
The room service was excellent, happy smiling maids that couldn't do enough for you.

The Grumble...
The rooms are small, sleeping upto 3, twin/double bed and pull-out chair. There aren't any family rooms and having 2 kids it's a pain and costly to have to book 2 rooms and spend the holiday 'apart'. Maybe this is deliberate as it does knock up the cost of the holiday quite a lot. It would also be an idea to have a kettle in the room for early morning/late night hot drinks.
The Plaza Bar can be very busy on a night, which means that residence of the hotel sometimes struggle to get seats/tables. The service can sometimes be slow and it can sometimes seem as if the 'paying' customers get served before guests. They also refuse to give more than 1 drink at a time per guest which can be quite frustrating when you have to wait sometimes 20mins for orders.....
The beds around the pool go very quickly....they allow you to enter at 8 and they are usually all gone by 8.05!!
The music can be repetative, the same tunes in the same order every night, maybe a new playlist is in order.......
There was a Queen with a litter of kittens living near the kiddy's club and unfortunately, one day my 7yr daughter was quite disturbed that one of the hotel staff, the one with the large Alsation type dog, was throwing stones at them, hitting one of the kittens in the eye. Not a good thing for a 7yr old to witness.......

I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone and we will be booking for next year......we've heard a rumour that it's going Platinum next year so be quick as the price will probably go up....
