“WOW”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

My family and I have just returned after 8 days at the Village side of Lykia World, We were there for the 1st rain fall all season and it didnt spoil a thing, everything pretty much carried on as normal, an amazing show was put on, the reps were out to cheer everyone up.
We booked a sea view room which had a spectacular view- Beautiful blue sea to watch the sunset go down if we were in and if we were out we could still enjoy it from many areas of the pool and hotel.
The Restaurants had a massive choice, catering for all tastes, even the fussiest eaters!! everything was so fresh and tempting. No matter how busy the restausant staff were, they were allways very helpful and accomodating.
The bars had a huge choice of drinks, not many under the all inclusive menu though unfortunately, there were some cocktails, local alcohol's, beer and juice on the all inclusive menu, which was still worth while.
The entertainment was amazing!!!! captivating and entertaining.
The hotel entertainers were great, pool, dance floor fun etc...........
The many pools were great for swimming and paddling for the little ones.

Overall- we loved it, something for everyone, booking again!!!!!
Was slightly disappointed that the

Room Tip: Beach is very stoney, take beach shoes

We have just got back from a week at Lykia world and i highly reccomend it. Only regret is that we didnt stay longer.

The hotel is excellent, food marvellous and plentiful (diet time now), staff friendly and helpful and efficient. There are a few wasps but they really are no bother at all.
The surroundings are very beautiful and the park is landscaped wonderfully with abundant flowering shrubs everywhere.

Plenty to do in surrounding areas with many excursions (save money by booking excursions in nearby Oludeniz town)

I could go on and on about how great it is but i suggest you try it for yourself, i'm sure you wont be dissapointed.

Many thanks to our new friends Ouza and Zeki for being such wonderful bar waiters, hope to see you again very soon.

Lykia World this year got taken over Liberty Hotels so at the end of this season they are shutting and having a big refurbishment job done then opening again next April/May 2014!

The staff here are very friendly and work hard in the restaurants, bars and the cleaners! There is a massive selection here of food varied across 3 restaurants. Also snack time bars that are open around the meal times of the restaurants - my personal favourite is the fajita bar down by the beach, amazing!

Whilst here we used Lykia's own taxi firm which are cheaper than the ones from Olu Deniz to get down to the strip! Here we used Sky Sports ( would recommend this company) to book paragliding, boat trips and quad biking!

Only bad things about Lykia World in my opinion is up at the water park the life guards are constantly on there phones or chatting so if I had children I would watch them. Also you need to go all inclusive, this covers you for everything you would probably need but check the sheet they give you as you could easily spend loads more £££!

Everyone says there's a big Wasp problem, there are wasps here but none of them seemed to bother me - so I wouldn't let it put you off!

Hopefully looking to book up to come June time after the refurbishments! It's a brilliant place to come to - hopefully will get to go on the ferry over to Rhodes which I didn't manage to fit in!

Would love to come back, it's just purely amazing!

We travelled with our 21 month old daughter and my mom, we shared a 2 bedroom family room in the Kekova block on the village side. It was quite a walk from the bars and restaurants to the room but that did mean that it was nice and quiet. We also had a lovely view. The room was an excellent size, very clean and had all the facilities we expected. It was a bit of a pain carrying the buggy up two flights of stairs but we soon got used to it.

We always had breakfast in the Village. We loved the fresh bread, bacon, eggs and pancakes. There was plenty of choice for my daughter and we always found a table after a couple of minutes.

We tried to use each part of the resort at least once so a tiny bit about each of our favourites.

Children's paradise - excellent facility, my daughter loved the kids pool and toddler 'beach'. My husband loved the bigger slides. There wasn't anything else going on activity wise there but I think that's because we went in Septembet. Wasps were a major problem in the restaurant here.

Village pool - lovely pool but 100% not toddler friendly. The tiles around the pool are lethal when wet. We managed about an hour there before moving to the kids club pool which was each safer.

The far end of the beach near to the Spa. It's a bit of a treck to bars and restaurants but it is a lovely spot, very quiet. Plus the water is sheltered and shallow so we could paddle with my daughter easier than the main beach.

Main beach - loads of comfy beds, drinks available and a useful jetty to take you into the water for swimming. The beach is pebbly so i would recommend taking beach shoes with you. They sell them at the hotel but just like everything there the prices are extortionate (more than 4 times the price you'll pay elsewhere).

Private beach huts - we hired hut 1 twice. We absolutely loved this feature, and found it a good investment of £25. They were private and peaceful, and only a short walk to the residence beach bar and marina restaurant. I really hope they don't get rid of these in the refit.

Lykia club kids area - loved the facilities here for babies and toddlers not just older kids. My daughter didn't go into the kids club but we thought it looked very professional and the girls were very friendly. The small kids pool connected to the club were great as was the shaded play area.

Tiny kids pool at residence side - this was perfect. Exactly what we had been looking for. Safe for my daughter to play and walk/run without us thinking she was going to fall constantly. Please consider fitting this kind of flooring around all the kids pools. It's so much safer!

Marina restaurant - by far our favourite for the dinner. Amazing choice. Great food freshly cooked in front of you.
Village restaurant - great for breakfast, lunch and snacks but poor for dinner.
Chinese restaurant - expensive for what it is. Don't go there expecting authentic Chinese food.

The shops - what on earth is going on in their mind? They are so over priced it's a joke. The handbag shop seem to think they are selling real designer bags. Granted they are good fakes but let's be honest THEYRE FAKE BAGS!! No one is under the illusion they anything else yet they are charging on average £100 for a bag and £50 for things like an iPad case. Obviously there is bargaining to be done but it's just stupid money. Do yourself a favour, go to Fethiye market or Olu Deniz to do your shopping. The spa looked lovely but totally over priced. Who would pay 100 euro for a massage and Turkish bath when the same thing in Olu Deniz is 25 euro?!

Oh and please stop advertising all the prices in Euros. Were you aware that your currency is the Turkish Lira?! Lol.

This was our 5th time in Turkey, 2nd time in Olu Deniz and we loved Lykia World. We had an amazing time and would definitely go again.

This is our second visit to Lykia first of which was in April this year. This September we went for our honeymoon and we weren't disappointed . From the fabulous views to the food we were just as impressed as the first time . Yes there were wasps but not swarms , mostly on the freshly cut grass. The staff were just as polite and friendly as the first time we went, many of them recognising us. From the bar staff , especially Bekir and Fahri , to front of house staff , especially Isa we were looked after fabulously . Great country , resort and people !

We have been to this hotel for last 10 years ,every year it just gets better . The staff especially Guner (Captain waiter in the Residence ) , Ersu Esroy (Host ) , Volkan (waiter ) ,Cengiz (entertainment ) Emre (entertainment ) Roxy ,Ugo ,(swimming instructor ) , and Mehmet Bicer (manager ) and so many more to mention make our 2 weeks there so enjoyable ,I cry every year when its time to leave . Yes there were wasps in September/October , but in June there were hardly any wasps .The food is always excellent and well presented ,and the staff will always try and give you special diet requests i.e Gluten Free if you ask them for it .We are always treated well and the staff are more than happy to help in any way , my husband is disabled and the staff were always asking if everything is "ok?" .The entertainment has improved this year , and next year (2014 ) the whole complex will be improved . There was never a shortage of sunbeds , although I am sorry to say I saw an English family that everyday would get 18 towels and leave them on the sunbeds and then they would disappear for hours ....(there was not 18 of them in the party ) . We have only been home 24 hours and have already looked into booking for 2014 , and yes I cried once again leaving ,we love it so much I even have the hotel name tattooed on my foot .Year after year we meet the same holiday makers who like ourselves are "repeat guests " . The views are fabulous and the sunsets are out of this world .Once again "Thank you Liberty Lykia for another great holiday and making our Wedding Anniversary so special and look forward to seeing you in 2014 at Liberty Hotel Lykia Resort and Spa :o)).

The food and Hotel was great if I was 40 years of age but I am 78 and went with my Daughter
Granddaughter and Great granddaughter and their partners. I found it very tiring as there was a lot of walking up & down and lots of steps. My Granddaughter found it hard too, pushing her baby in the buggy around. We also had the sickness bug on different days. I said if I was younger it would have been great, my Daughter & Partner enjoyed it.

Hello Pamela,
Wish you a nice day from Lykia! We are pleased to hear that you were satisfied with our food and services.
Being hilly of our resort is true but considering elderly people and families with small children ,the new management will build some elevators on spesific points, then accesibility will be easier for everyone.
You can follow the changes which will be started in November on our official website and Facebook page.
We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you in our renewed resort.
