“An excellent hotel, every detail well thought out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2012

It was pretty much opening week when we arrived so there was some prep work going on around us, but it was very unobtrusive, staff are great, food is very good, bar is now well stocked, location is perfect a short walk downhill to olu deniz, or a short walk to main road to catch a dolmus up to hisaronu which we have now visited for 5th time on holiday (2002,2003,2004,2008 and this time, so there must be something good about the area), we will be back to manas park for 2 weeks next time on 7th september this year (1 week is just not enough in Turkey).

Its a little early in the season as there is a lot of shops and bars still getting ready to open, but still plenty going on in both resorts, weather for April has been great 30 deg today,

Rain is on its way but it has been saying that on accuview weather of yesterday and today, so we live in hope ! I would recommend Manas park to anyone young, old (a bit steep for really elderly) or families.

It's the very good 3-stars hotel! We're stayed there for 3 weeks with the small baby. The hotel is located beyond Oludeniz, closer to the mountains, on the hill. Therefore, there are great views of the sea, mountains and Oludeniz from all the terraces and most rooms . The hotel isn't big (70 rooms), has a small number of staff - If you want you can keep in mind all the names on the third day :). Thank you - Ali, Zafer, Ufuk, Sam and the pleasant receptionist (Sorry, I didn't ask her name:)! The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is always possible to solve any problems if they arise. The food is in the Hotel Turkish style:), but not sharp, many dishes from eggplant, zucchini, tomatoes, mostly chicken in various forms, but cook it well. Especially the chef was cooking well: kebab, meat balls and barbecue (evenings). A couple of days a week was fish for dinner. The selection of sweets isn't big. Alcohol: Beer - no "Effes", only "Taps". I liked - it has a more intense and bitter taste than "Effes". The rest is the local vodka, rakya and gin. Vodka is like everywhere in Turkey, no good:) The rakya with water or a gin and tonic is quite possible to drink without a hangover in the morning. The table wine (red or white) are normal. The hotel area is small and smoothly into the surrounding landscape. The nice relax zone is to the right of the main building - parasols, sunloungers, hammocks and "the pig-chairs". The pool is clean, with the pure water, the background music is usually 60-70s rock. The dance pop-music has a place in the bar at night:). The Oludeniz Beach is 1 km from the hotel. There a parasol and sun lounger costs about € 6. The water is very clean, small waves sometimes. In the morning the hotel's bus goes to another beach, to the Blue Lagoon (3-4 km). There everything is free, except the bar and the rental of pedal boats. There is a small playground, a garden with hens, the gray sand, no waves, the soft entrance into the water - It's the perfect place for children. About the evening's entertainments ... basically it is a bar that is open until the last customer:) but sometimes Sam tries to organize karaoke, watching movies and competitions. One day the dance turkish show was, I liked it. Another day the man with a guitar arrived, played guitar and singing the Turkish and popular songs - it was the very good gig with the excellent sound. The hotel was recently renovated, so the state of most of the rooms is very good, new plumbing.
Important! 1. No animation. It's good for me:) 2. The Wi-Fi works only into the bar:). In our room wasn't!3. The bus goes to the Blue Lagoon in the morning but return at 5pm. The taxi to the hotel costs 7 euro. 4. As the hotel is was build on a hillside - the road from the lower terrace to the reception has about 50 meters steep climb. Do you like any sport?:) 5. Exactly at 23.00. "all inclusive" stops. The after-party can be only for the your money:) 6. The noise in the bar until 12 at night. It's not good for rooms near the pool. 7. Sometimes I was feeling a specific "odor of drains" in the bathroom. 8. The minaret is near the hotel. The muezzin is the great singer

Had a nice holiday at the Manas park (8th-15th Oct), although the weather was bad. Met some very nice people whist on holiday. The Hotel room was clean, although the bathroom had a rather unpleasant smell from the drains. We had a lovely veiw from our room, and our own sun beds. The bar drinks quite limited, and asked to pay for our drinks after 11pm! plus needed to take back empty glasses in order to get another drink. We needed to ask for the ice cream in the afternoon, rather than the staff offering, Eddie was a star in getting the ice cream sorted. The manager and the owner did not come across as overly friendly. The walk to the sea front was not that bad for us to walk to. but could be a problem if you have any health problems,as rather poor lighting and not very even pathways, plus up hill once you reach the hotel.

Would go again, but not in October, as staff looked like they that wanted to go home as this was the end of the season.

Room Tip: Go for beach view with sun terrace.

Have just returned from Manus Park and the food left very much to be desired! There was no fresh fruit for breakfast, cereal was stale, no yoghurt and not even a toaster! We didn't stay in for lunch but dinner wasn't very good. Food not labelled properly so didn't know what some of it was as no one spoke English. The food wasn't covered up so was nearly always cold. Finally, there was no local whisky or brandy included in the free drinks and there was no entertainment. The saving grace of this holiday was Sam the barman who cheered us all up. Would never go back there even if it was the last hotel on the planet!

We spent a week at the Manas Park (17-24 October) just before they were about to close for the winter break. It was obvious the staff were tired and disinterested and unfortunately this was portrayed by us as dont-careish and therefore for customer service we would mark down the staff for this; however Sam the barman (despite his constant texting and Facebooking) made up for the lack of assistance - and personality - of most of the others. Some of the catering staff were sweet but again just unhelpful.

The hotel itself is located in a fabulous position, however please do not book if you have any physical impairment. To reach the beach and main resort is around a ten minute walk downhill. The walk back up, in particular once you have passed the hotel boundary, is a killer (no joke) - we are 32 and 39 years old and it takes your breath away - literally!

We opted for all inclusive as we hoped this would prove more cost effective than going on a self catering holiday; and although this was still the case the food left a lot to be desired - taste/heat for example, and the drinks were not ALL included on the all inc deal, we made the best of what we had.

We ate out 2 nights and found the resort to be value for money (Buzz bar was particularly lovely food).

It is a catch 22 really; we went this time of year for the quieter time (we dont want to be surrounded by screaming kids and cramming like sardines round the pool) and cooler weather and who knows if we would have received better customer service if we had gone earlier in the season?

The trips offered by local agents are excellent value for money, especially the 12 Island Boat Trip and the Dalyan Experience - highly recommended.

All in all the Manas Park needs a boot up the bum, go with an open mind and you will leave happy.

Dont forget this is a muslim country, and therefore the mosques are set to prayer mode at least 5 times a day - commencing around 6am with broadcasted prayers. Woke me up the first morning and I was very disgruntled. This coupled with the local dogs who like to sing along, is not the best wake up call.

PS There are changing rooms and toilets down by the pool in case the staff try and "sell" you your room for an extra few hours if you have a later flight home.

Room Tip: 1601 was a good room!

Spent two weeks here from 6th-20th Oct.Good points - great views, rooms okay, always sunbeds available round pool and a lovely grass area with sunbeds and beanbags.Bad points very limited drinks available and sometimes would'nt give you a drink until you gave back a empty glass.Bar staff seemed to play music they liked not what the guests liked. Had to ask for ice-cream which had to be defrosted then they refroze it.Restaurant needs to be run more professional they need a dishwasher to ensure clean plates/cups/glasses etc.Glasses need always to be available should not have to ask, plates need to be warm not freezing cold food hotter and more meat.I know we had extremely bad weather while we were here but they must find a way to be able to enclose the bar and restaurant to enable their guests to be dry and a bit warmer (we had rain around our feet and dripping on our heads and freezing cold) .This could be a wonderful hotel with a few changes.
