“One of the best places to stay in Oludeniz”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

The hotel is located at Faralya village and it takes 15 minutes by driving from Oludeniz beach area to get there. There are buses from Oludeniz beach area to Faralya.

The hotel is managed by Onur and his family.

The hotel has a stunning sight and is on the top of famous Butterfly Valley. It is also on the way of Lycian Way and also close to Kabak village and its bay area.

The rooms are made of small and cute wooden houses which have bathroom and toilet.

Onur and his family were very gentle, welcoming, and helpful. They serve breakfast and also dinner, which is prepared by Onur's mother. The water of the village and the hotel comes from the mountains. The hotel has a beautiful garden and also a small pool. We stayed for 4 days and enjoyed every moment.

Simple hotel in a beautiful natural setting with views of the butterfly valley. Hosts were accommodating and made guests feel at home. It's far from all the action and not much activity going on in the area other than taking some hikes.

We stayed at Onur Motel for 10 days and enjoyed every moment. We received a warm welcome from Onur's mother, father and staff and throughout our stay they were always happy to help with any dilemma or just to chat about our day. Our room faced towards butterfly valley, from here and the dining area we were able to enjoy the spectacular sunsets. The prolonged stay at such a peaceful, friendly and family run motel allowed us to rest between each adventure. We especially looked forward to the wonderful home made four course meals lovingly prepared by Onur's mother allowing us to experience home made Turkish cuisine.
On a practical note the the bus or "Dolmush" stops right outside the motel taking approximately 20 minutes to Oludeniz or 15 minutes to Kabak, this service runs every 2 hours. The motel is ideally situated to explore the Lycian Way, allowing further exploration of this beautiful area of Turkey.
If you enjoy a discrete, peaceful, family run motel then this is the place for you (psst.. please don't tell everyone!!)
Having had such a wonderful holiday we are looking forward to returning in the not too distant future

We loved our stay at the Onur motel. Onur and his family were very welcoming and helpful, the grounds were beautiful and the views were incredible! We loved our bungalow which overlooked the valley. The rooms are simpler but have everything you need, the air conditioning is AMAZING and you can control the temperature.

We didn't realize that the hotel was a 15 minute drive from Oludeniz, but ended up being so glad that it was secluded. Oludeniz is a very touristy area which is catered around tourists and their culture, we did however really enjoy the oludeniz beaches. Being secluded gave us a better taste and experience with the Turkish culture.

Don't be scared of the local minibus, we were hesitant to try it but it ended up being our lifeline for getting around. Make sure to remember that it stops running at 8ish, and taxis are a rip off! Kabak beach and paragliding are a must do. Also, the boat tours are very affordable and take you around to some amazing places, set aside a day and bring your camera (very safe), we recommend Cherry Tree boat tours, it was smaller and the crew was very friendly.

Onur knows a lot if you ask him about these places he will give you all the info you need !

PS They only clean your room if you ask !

It was a great place for us to spend our holiday. But you need to know that Onur motel is not a hotel. You pay less but you have the following advantages:

- You live in a small village which is far from Olu Deniz and have mountain view over the see. So, it's a great place to have both relaxation and beach. The bungalow is lovely and nice.

- You will live with a typical local family. The half-board scheme includes breakfast and dinner. The food is cooked by Onur's mother and it is perfect. You will enjoy it.

- Onur and his family are kind and helpful. The bar restaurant in the motel is so lovely and charming. The prices in the bar restaurant is perfect and cheaper than some beach shops. So, buy from them.

- The whole motel is perfect charming and clean

While you have the above advantages you should adjust yourself for the followings:

-Faralya is a village that is a little far from Olu Deniz. (Ca. 20 min by mini bus). There is a mini bus route that commute every 2 hours.

- There is a mosque nearby which sometimes plays Azan (praying invitation) through its speakers. It will be a little annoying specially at morning while you are sleeping. The bungalows sighting to the valley have more problem with this than those sighting to pool. However they have better view specially at sunset times.

- The bungalow has no closet space and no mini bar or refrigerator. And also there is no hair dryer available in the room.

Room Tip: Rooms at the valley side have better view over the valley and beach but rooms at the pool side are q...

This is a family run hotel on the side of a mountain with beautiful views of the sea and epic sunsets. Great hospitality. The food was amazing with fresh local ingredients cooked by Onur's mum. Couldn't ask for anything more.
So nice to be close to but far enough away from the touristy Oludeniz. The hike down to Kabak beach is well worth it. Be weary of the nearby Butterfly Cove hike as it is steep and requires proper hiking boots not just running shoes.

Room Tip: Try a cabin overlooking the mountain and sea.

Stayed 4 nights to enjoy walking and the beautiful coastline. This is a family-run pensione, with cabins with ensuite and air-con. Wins 5 stars from me for 1. Food, amazing evening meal with 4 local dishes included in rate. 2.service: nothing was too difficult. 3. Position, set in village overlooking Butterfly valley, you are so far away from the chaos and mass tourism of Olu Deniz beach and close to the unspoilt coastline. 4. Value on all fronts, not expensive but 5-star personal care
Perfect on those 3 fronts. One note, it's not a business hotel with all mod cons, but I loved it (and I'm hard to please due to frequent hotel stays ).
