“Small but perfectly formed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2010

A friend and I stayed at Perdikia for a week at the end of the season. The hotel is small - as are many of the hotels in Olu Deniz - but it has a charm that is appealing to all ages. My friend and I are in our thirties and we were looking for somewhere friendly, with atmosphere, where we could relax and take it easy. There were a range of ages at the hotel and everyone we spoke to had good things to say about it- there were many guests who were repeat visitors. The rooms are perfectly adequate, with towels and linen changed daily. We had a room overlooking the pool which also meant we could sit on the balcony and watch the paragliders drift down from the mountain to the seafront. The hotel is close to the beach - less than a five minute walk - but far enough back for the noise from the bars and restaurants not to be a problem. The staff were genuine and friendly and exceptionally hard-working! Olu Deniz iteself is a laid-back beach resort with low-rise hotels and restaurants. Buzz and Harry's are great for a view of the beach-front goings. The resort is great for eating, drinking, sunbathing and relaxing - oh, and paragliding! But Fethiye is easily reached by Dolmus and there are tours to a few places in the vicinity- Dalyan was particularly nice.

We have just returned from seven nights at the Perdikia Beach Hotel. Our room was small but it was not a problem as we did not spend much time in it! We only stayed B&B as we wanted to sample the local restraunts. The hotel was kept very clean. It is quite a basic hotel compared to some of the others, but it was nice to be able to get away from the hub bub in the town. There was a Turkish night which was great, really good belly dancer and folk dancers. The staff also did a dance! That was the only night we ate at the hotel but it was really good food. The restraunt bar manager was very friendly and helpul. and lent us his road map when we hired a car!

After researching for the best hotel to suit us we chose the Perdikia and were really pleased we did as it was everything we wanted.
The rooms are on the small side but perfectly adequate for our needs which were basically sleeping, showering & changing. The room was cleaned to a high standard & clean towels & bedding supplied.
We had a problem with the lock on our door, our teenage daughter got locked in the room (which really wasn't a problem to us...haha) The staff sorted it out promptly.
In fact we found all the staff cheerful, helpful & enjoyed a few late drinks with barman Ash (sorry, probably spelt wrong) who has a great sense of humour. ;-)
I'm not a big fan of laid on entertainment, we stayed at an all inclusive last year & it was my idea of hell. At the Perdikia the entertainment is quite low key, 2 or 3 nights a week you will get a Turkish night or dance show, well worth a look.
We were half board and really enjoyed the food, a gorgeous selection of mezes and a different choice of main course and lovely desserts & fruit always. Our two fussy daughters managed to always find something they liked.
The Perdikia is perfectly situated just off the main strip but you can't hear any street noise from the hotel, a lovely retreat. The backdrop of the mountains gives you a real sense of being away from it all........oh how i miss that feeling !!
We were there out of school holidays so it was admittedly very quiet, not many children, perfect for a relaxing break. We are lucky that our children don't crave kids clubs etc.
Next year we are going back in August so i expect it to be a little more upbeat but i'm sure it won't lose any of its charm, it will be interesting to see another side to this wonderful little hotel.
Oludeniz itself is just amazing, love love love it but i won't harp on about it as i'm reviewing the hotel.......but i will say that Shadows Bar is a must if you want a fun night out.
We haven't been back home a week yet but i have already booked to go back next year we loved it so much.
Finally i would like to thank all the staff for helping to make our holiday so fantastic. We can't wait to see you all in August.

This was our second trip to Olu Deniz and we preferred this hotel to the out-of-the-way Montana Pine. There was a mix of ages, predominantly British and being a small hotel we got to know a number of guests. The hotel is nothing special, but we always felt comfortable in relatively quiet surroundings despite being a couple of minutes walk from the main strip of bars and restaurants.
We took the half board option for the whole two weeks and did not regret it as meals in the main strip are no longer cheap. Dinner consisted of soup (always tasty and hot) and a fine array of salads which often included fish dishes. We were not so keen on the mains but found plenty among the other courses to satisfy us.
We only eat lightly at breakfast and the cereal, fruit, cheese and olives and good quality bread were enough for us. There was a buffet of scrambled egg and beans but this was generally cold and seemed most popular with the flies! Every other day omeletes were available and these were fine.
The small hotel rooms and pool were clean and the room service fine, but the bar left a bit to be desired. Genrally the overall service was acceptable, but fForget the entertainment, it was dire.

We came back to the Perdikia again this year as we had such a great time last year and we were not disappointed. We had a bigger room this year and it was great. The staff remembered us and everyone really works hard to ensure you have the kind of holiday you want. We had half board because we basically go on Holiday to rest so we just chill out round the pool and don't travel too far away. We met a lovely couple of ladies there and went out with them for a meal to Captain Hooks fish restaurant which much exceeded my expectations. We also had lunch one day at Harry's over looking the beach.

Our stay at the perdika was ok as it is in a good position. close to the sea and the bars and resturants. the room was small but clean. Staff nice apart from the resturant manager who just wanted to sell his lunch and dinner menu which was rather boring same starters and deserts every night. the pool is big and clean. they do put enterainment on a few times a week which is fun but It does lack the atmoshere that a small hotel normally has. It is fine if you just want a clean convientient place to say B&B.

Having spent weeks with another couple trying top find the best place to be for our needs we eventually chose this hotel for its position close to restaurants, bars and shops and most of all the beach. What a great chose this was. The hotel was the right size, not too big, The rooms are a tad on the small side but perfectly adequate and most of all clean. Towels changed daily and bed linen every other day. The staff are very friendly and bend over backwards to please.[don't understand the couple from Leeds comments-sometimes friendship works both ways]. The breakfast if you want a full english you wont get, but continetal and a bit of a fry up you will, and we had no complaints. The evening buffet meals are varied and taste very nice. The beach is fab and water is crystal clear and free of seaweed and believe it or not warm even first thing in the morning The town is very close to the hotel but you dont hear any commotion fromthere. It is busy at night with a lovely atmosphere and no drunken loutishi behavior. Bar staff very nice and welcoming and shop keepers love to barter for their goods, not too pushy. I dont know why i'm telling you this as I might scupper my chances of getting booked for 2011. Only downside if you can call it that, was, we flew with Thomson on a Thursday daytime 7am flight so being a long day we were tired by 11pm and went to bed ,but kept awake due to the 'only Thursday night ' karioki night on at the hotel . The singing is awful. SERIOSLY THOUGH A TRULY NICE PLACE.
