“Heavenly peace !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2011

We booked this hotel for one reason - no kids outside of school holidays - yay ! It was the best decision we've ever made. The hotel is set in a rural area surrounded by goats and chickens and is spread over serveral lush garden areas. Lots of space to relax under the trees in hammocks or by the very clean, beautifully maintaned pool. There were not many people here when we came, just a handful of older couples, so it was tranquil and calm. We rented the 'cottage' a self contained unit with it's own outside seating area, 2 bedrooms, kitchen and lounge. The on-site restaurant is fabulous and the food far better than we had down in Fethiye town ! The only 'down' side is that it is a bit of a walk from the main road for anyone who is infirm, although the hotel does offer lifts up to the main road where you can catch the Dolmus. It's a lovely area for walking, glorious pinewoods and coastal scenery. Don't forget to book a trip or hire a car to go and see some of the great ancient sites like Xanthos. Best bit to avoid - the 'Brit-haven' of Hisaronu - it's the usual fish and chips/karaoke style of place. The best bit about this hotel is the staff, nothing too much trouble, book a trip ? Done. Get some ice for a sore knee? Done? Lots of smiles and laughs from all the staff. They also arranged seamless transfers to Dalaman airport for us. Compliments to Mehmet, Julie and the team ! We WILL be back ! :0)

The Yakamoz is a small, quiet hotel, off the main road, where you can guarantee having a relaxing holiday, whether round the smimming pool, or gently swinging in a hammock in the shaded orchard. It is a place where you will make friends. The staff led by owner Mehmet, are the friendliest I have come across; nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is first class. I first came in 2009 with my daughter, following a recommendation from a friend. I enjoyed it so much, that I returned with a large group of friends in 2010. There is so much to do, or as little as you want. The main towns of Oludeniz and Fethiye are 5km. away with beaches, restaurants, para-gliding, cruises, diving, markets etc.etc.via frequent buses and taxis. I have booked again this year.

We have been to Yakamoz for the past 5 years & plan to come again.
The rooms are basic but very clean with nice comfy beds, we like to book in the annex as the rooms have air conditioning.
Set in a rural location, the local dolmus stops at the top of the road going to Fethiye or Olu Deniz, Hisaronu is about a 30 min walk either by road or through the woods & around the fields. We enjoy the walk as there is so much to see from the local Goat Herder to wild Tortoises!
Mehmet arranges excursions some of which are solely for hotel residents, We recommend the trip to Seki to see & experince the real Turkey.
The hotel staff are very friendly & attentive, The food is excellent all home cooked with a good choice to suit most tastes.
No phone,no TV, no Radio & no loud music An ideal place for peace & relaxation.

Room Tip: Bring a book & enjoy!

We have been returning to the Yakamoz for 15 years. Had a period when mehmet was not there, its much nicer now that he has returned. Its not 5 star luxury but a very friendly hotel where the staff will do anything to please. The food is very good and they have a wonderfull log fire in the restaurant for the cooler evenings. You can get a lift up the drive, but the 10 min walk is easy and great for wildlife spotting...lizards, tortoise etc. The yakamoz is about a 20 Dolmus ride from either Fetiye or Olu Deniz beach, and you get a spectacular view on the way there. You can walk into Hisonaru..takes about half an hour and again, a very pleasant walk..ideal for walking off all the great food.
Its a quiet idle and feels very Turkish unlike a lot of 'tourist' hotel
Go..you won't regret it

We have been returning to the Yakamoz nearly every year, it's that sort of place.... We don't normally go back to the same place more than once or twice but we make an exception for the Yakamoz. We normally book the cottage which has two bedrooms, a little kitchen, a lounge and a lovely sitting out area looking over the countryside – all beautifully furnished with antique carpets and furniture (no small children allowed for obvious reasons). The food in the restaurant is beautifully cooked. Mehmet and his staff make you feel so welcome, I always have a little cry when I leave – it’s just like leaving your family. The hotel is a dolmus ride from Olu Deniz or Fethyie, so while you are out in the countryside it is easy and cheap to get into town. It has got to be remembered that the Yakamoz is in the country so there are “country noises” i.e cockerels, sheep and goats chatting in the morning – we love it!

We stayed at Yakamoz for 2 weeks and had a wonderful holiday so much so that we booked again for next year something most guests seem to do.The food was superb served by wonderful staff who did everything they could to make your holiday special. The pool area is very spacious always plenty of sunbeds never reserved before breakfast which makes a change.Mehmet arranged many trips for guests but if you wanted to do your own thing he was always there to help you with arrangements and advice. It is surrounded by small farms but not too remote Fethiye and Olu deniz were not far away by dolmus . All in all a fabulous holiday thanks to all the staff who made it extra special.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2010

My husband and I have just returned from this lovely hotel after having one of the most relaxing holidays ever. Small and intimate, with simple but clean rooms, it is a haven of peace and quiet, where the loudest noise (apart from the Imams call to prayer) is the horses and cockerels in the surrounding fields. Set up off the main road between Fethiye and Hisaronu, it benefits from gently cooling breezes which made the July heat bearable. The accomodation is set over 2 small blocks and a seperate cottage, in lovingly tended gardens, including a shady orchard furnished with hammocks. It also has a beautiful pool which is never crowded, with a bar and covered lunch area right by it. The restaurant has an outdoor area, covered with grapevines, and serves the most beautifully cooked and presented food at a very reasonable price. Although we only booked bed and breakfast, we chose to eat at the hotel every night.
However, by far Yakamoz's greatest asset is it's staff. From Mehmet the owner and Julie, to the wonderful waiters, chefs and cleaners for whom nothing was too much trouble.
We will definitely be going back again, as will the majority of the other guests we met there- many of whom had returned again and again over the years.
A wonderful place.
