“Perfect except a reception”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

Holidays interval 10-10-2012 - 18-10-2012

From the first minutes until the last evening everything was so perfect - environment, rooms, food and drinks, activities, service, beach ...
We stayed in a double room with a view to the Mediterranean sea and swimming pools.
So we enjoyed from the first morning sunlight until dark sky and lamps light shadows in the water.
Hotels environment is perfect - green and cozy with palms, blooming bindweed flowers, hammocks, birds, fishes, lawn, beach with a natural reed umbrellas and clean sunbeds, and much more which I sure forgot to mention.
Many swimming pools, bars, two tennis courts, restaurants, local food cafe, dancing bar above the sea water(open on a season with live music), special swimming pools, aerobics hall and activity rooms for children ,carousels ,different sorts of water slides(for children and adults), amphitheater (with a big stage and good quality sound system), three towel houses (all the time can change a wet towel to a dry one), Gazebo with a white clean curtains where you can feel a private space and relax, read a book, or just enjoy the sunlight.
Evenings we spend in amphitheater by watching shows (Chinese acrobats, children circus, samba dancers from Brasil) or singing and dancing in a pool bar with live group music.
Late evenings we spend in a bars with a huge variety of cocktails and snacks. Live piano, harp or violin music fulfilled famous musicians compositions. But you can even choose and go to a discotheque, cinema or read a book in a small hotels library (or play mini bowling, mini golf, billiard, games machines, volleyball, etc.

Warm sea water every day was +26 ( swimming pool temperature at the same time was just +22).

We have tried a relaxing massage in spa center which we really enjoyed.

Food - one of the best (even better than in Spain), coffee - perfect! Much much sorts of fish and meat (NO PORK!), vegetables, fruits, cheeses, delicious deserts, fresh juice. Every evening we've got a special menu - full of local food, or just made in a food hall (where everyone can watch how it's made). Traditional Turkish and Chinese kitchen. Something different every day!

We've been here 8 days and every day enjoyed sunshine (not a minute of a rain), warm +30 or even +40 temperature in a day time, and +16 or +19 at night (perfect for a sleep, even will not need air conditioner). So sleep was really restful.
Besides you can change your pillow any day or get an extra one (different sorts - synthetic, feather, orthopedic, etc. (with any extra cost)
Towels are changed every day ( + hotels shampoo, bath bubbles, shower gel, body lotion, soap).
Air-conditioner helped perfect in a warm day time!

Bus takes from airport and drives directly to a hotel (without stop).

We were just not satisfied of a receptionist work. They will say just what you need, and no more extra information. (If you don't ask about your late check-out time and price, so you will know it just in a reception, when need to pay extra 70 or 110 euro)

However it was really amazing holidays, in amazing hotel!!!

Room Tip: Our room was on a third floor, with a view to the ocean. Perfect to wake up with sunrise and go to b...

We stayed in this hotel for 1 week in September 2012, and it was the forth time we've been in Turkey in a 5* hotel. This was the worst experience by far, we were highly disappointed.

We booked this hotel because it was recommanded by the travel agency as a child friendly hotel. This is true (they have club, entertainment, pool for children), but most 5* hotels in Turky have the same. We were told when we bookd the vacation (and it is mentioned in their web site too) that they recive in the children club babys from the age of 1 y. Our oldest child is 2.4 y old. We wanted to leave the child at the club once, but we were told that she is too small. All the activities were for children starting with the age of 3 years. I wanted to involve her in children activities, with my support, but I was told that she was too small.
Also all the children entertainment was in Russian, and it was difficult for me or our child to understant anything.

Our biggest complain was concerning the food - tastless, low variety. We ate at the main restaurant, because we have 2 children - 2.4 y & 4 month, and we couldn'd afford the time to wait to be served. The food from kids area or from vital area looked that bad that I couldn't even look at it. Very low selection of food and especially of meats. Usually the food that tasted better vanished from the plates immediatly and it wasn't replaced any time soon (if at all). In previouse experience in Turkey, the plates were replaced when half empty, even with 5 minutes before the restaurant closing time. Most of the foods were drowning in bad tasting sauce. Overall, the food was completly uninspired and it tasted worst then that of a 2* restaurant, and it seemed as if they were dumped by the chefs. However, the sweets were tasty.
The a la carte restaurans required extra costs for reservation, which I consider inappropriate, taking into account the high price we've already payed for this hotel.
The room was large - we booked a family duplex. But the furniture is rather old, the carpets were stained. However the rooms were clean, as the rest of the hotel. We had no colmpalin about this. We called housekeeping for some incidents, and they were prompt.
The rest of the hotel was also rather shabby, it dosn't look like they invested any money in renovation for many years. However the hotel is clean.
The were many pools and the water was clean. The service was good in restaurants and bars.
I am still asking myself if I've made a bad choice, or there is a decrease of quality in services in Turkey. It was by far the worst experience we had in Turkey in a 5* hotel, even thow the hotel is an expensive one.

We were in this hotel for the second time (May and September). In May was this hotel full, in September it was perfect. Room were clean, waiters very kind, food perfect and wide choise, all the time place by the pool and by the see. By the pool you are getting cold towels, drinks, fruits, so you do not need to go to the bar, for kids rich and interesting program. Also the kids club has so many possibilities, that our 4years child wanted to go there eventhose we had time for him. I can fully recommend this hotel mainly to the families with children. Your child will be not bored.

We went to Ela Quality Resort Hotel in July 2012, chose this hotel for the facilities for teenagers as wanted somewhere with facilities for our 14yr old son. We booked with Sovereign and had private transfer to the hotel which was a nice relaxing start, we had a duplex room which suited us as had 2 sleeping areas and 2 bathrooms. I was a little disappointed in the state of the carpets and furniture as light colours and although very clean, had some ominous stains on them that didn't look pleasant! The choice of restaurants was good and we tried a different restaurant each night, not sure I agree with the additional cost as this was already quite an expensive holiday. Also the restaurants did try to get you to buy expensive wines and didn't offer the wines on the all inclusive deal. Disappointing in the lunch restaurant choice, no fresh fish on the menus just - kebab, salad, burger. My son tried the teen club a couple of times but it was full of russian kids and he gave up. The drinks offered were poor, only wine by the glass (white/rose disgusting and red drinkable) and limited on the beer (I think only carlsberg draft)no bottled beers. On the last day we all ate the same throughout the day, apart from my partner had an omelette at breakfast, it looked undercooked and he was very ill that evening and the next few days. We have stayed a the Barut Lara Hotel and Spa a couple of times and that was a much better hotel than this.

Room Tip: Duplex are very spacious especially if you have children.

We are staying here for 7 days, and we think it is a very nice place- the lake houses, the pools, a la carte restaurantes ( La Perla and La Salsa are very good placed, in a quiet area, and the food was sophisticated), except the cost for reservations, witch I think is useless and impolite. In the main restaurant the food is good but not so variated like in others five stars hotels, if you valuate this aspect first do not go to Ela. But in the rest of restaurantes ( except Kushane, turkish cuisine, not for my taste) the food is excelent, very much like in european best restaurantes. The very unplesant surprise is the fact that all staff speak russian first and poor english; they assume everybody with fair hair and eyes in from the soviet republics, but we meet many hungarian, cehs, etc. and , of course, romanian people. The ugliest things is in the kids club, there the entertainers speak 90% in russian and very little english. What can other children do? They are almost ignored. So, if you have little children like our daughter ( five years old) and they don' t speak russian, choose another hotel or ask for the right entertainer. You paid, and it was not cheap.

Room Tip: Choose the lake houses, it is a nice area, with a beautiful pool, fontains and flowers

We stated at the Ela Quality for 5 days this August and the hotel was great in everything... I had my 4 year old and my 1.5 year old boys, my mother and my sister and we all enjoyed our stay tremendously. The hotel is beautiful, the family room we took was great and everything was ready for us and the boys when we got in late at night. The service was superb ad it was an all inclusive offer, the only comment i have is that there isn't a kettle with coffee or tea in the rooms... But the best part was the kids facilities they have, the kids club is great. I will definitely come back again soon!
