“Best hotel in Belek”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

I have visited Belek several times, lust 2 years we stay only at Calista. Top quality service, best equipped rooms in Belek, great food. I warmly reccomend their SPA, fitness is also well done.
If you are looking for a high level hotel, you have to visit Calista.

Room Tip: During main season ask for room out of the main building

We spend three days in this beautiful resort and loved every minute of it. The scenery is beautiful and staff are all very helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and very clean. We did not try any of the a-la-carte restaurants during our stay but the choice and quality of food in the buffet restaurant was excellent. There was lots of entertainment during the day and different shows every evening in the resorts theater. We loved to sit out on one of the piers and swim in the sea.
All in all we had a great time here and definitely recommend it to anyone!

Room Tip: Try and get a room facing the sea.

Dear BobbyB_NL,
First of all, Thank you for taking such valuable time of yours and writing a lovely review about Calista Luxury Resort on TripAdvisor. Our Headchef has read your comments and is extremely happy that he & his team met your expectations. He also says that on your next visit you should try our A’la Carte Restaurants such as the La Carne which is South American or Sakura which has menus from the Far Eastern corners of the World. Our Entertainment Director is thrilled that you liked his different shows in the nights that you were here, He wonders wether you were here for the special “Angry Birds” Daytime speciality that Calista has Created, A Real life Angry Birds with a huge slingshot and bad piggies to hit (not real piggies though :))
WE cannot wait to see you again soon at Calista Luxury Resort.
Yours Sincerely,

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

We spent a couple of weeks here in June.

The resort is of a modern design with several residential "pods" the concept does work well with the living space being very private and an overall feel of comfort. The rooms generally are reasonably sized, although they can feel quite dark.

Check-in was chaotic with no greeting, no welcome drink, no room! To move my bags from reception to the room took more than one hour, in the end I rescued them and marched them over.

The central pool is a good depth and allows swimming around the central island bar. There is another few pools geared towards more serious swimmers and children. During our stay it never felt really full but at capacity i'm sure things get a little more hectic.

Even at 75% occupancy it was a real problem to find sun loungers and the sad reality is that the best way is to put your towels down as early as possible in the morning.

This really is not a place to come if you want to lose weight! Breakfast almost rolls into lunch, then snacks before dinner, dinner, then a midnight snack..... The food was fresh, simple and plentiful. Once again getting an outside table for dinner in a good place requires an early arrival or waiting until the first occupant clears. One thing that drove me crazy was that whenever you went to a table if you didn't take care it would be cleared and a new occupant installed by the time you arrived, the first time is funny, after losing the table twice a day for two weeks the joke wears off! Take a sweater to leave on the table.

There are a number of "al a carte" restaurants and these are worth visiting just for the entertainment value, the staff try really hard ...... the Mexican themed night involved potato chips instead of tacos as "tachos are hard to get" - memorable!

The beach is clean and well structured (and the one place where there was always a sun lounger) it was a concern that it was so easy to wander into the other that I must guess that security may be an issue if not careful.

The evening entertainment was possibly the craziest I have ever seen with everything from circus acts to pole dancing, I thought that I would hate this but it was always good fun.

Generally in the bars, especially in the evening, tip well and things keep working for you and you won't be forgotten!

The resort is geared towards the Russian market. This never really presented a problem, just a few cultural surprises! The staff are patient and friendly, expect to have to ask twice but it will all work out in the end.

Overall this is a resort that really tries to do its very best, whilst it doesn't always succeed, its a good start :-)

Room Tip: First floor in one of the buildings surrounding the main entrance makes it easy to get everywhere.

Dear John B,
First of all, We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for writing such a detailed review about Calista Luxury Resort on TripAdvisor.
all reviews on TripAdvisor are read by the board of Directors here at Calista Luxury Resort and investigated thoroughly, as our hotel is one of a kind with the endless amount of Certificates & awards that been awarded, such as The White Star (Calista Luxury Resort is THE ONLY Resort in Turkey that has been awarded with a White Star for being an environmentally friendly hotel), many international gastronomy awards (3 Gold Trophies, 6 Gold Medals, 12 Silver Medals, 19 Bronze Medals & 10 Merit Awards) & once again the only Hotel to have its own Laboratory in the hotel to control all products presented to our guests. There are sunloungers for everybody(our hotel has a maximum capacity of 1,350 & we have 1,750 sun beds) around the pool & on the beach, yes unfortunately we do have the odd guest trying to reserve sunbeds but attentive staff are always around to pick up the items left on the sunbeds to reserve them, to avoid unnecessary confrontations with other guests. In regards to seating outside of the restaurant, our Restaurant is open from 19:00 – 21:30, and there are many chairs & tables that are available. An “Adult only” section was put into action at the end of June, which extended the seating area outside. Alternatively, like you mentioned there are 6 A’la Carte Restaurants including a seafood Restaurant where you can enjoy daily fresh fish straight from the sea, or even our BBQ A’la Carte where you have the chance to have one of our experienced chefs cook meat how YOU like it, or alternatively we can give you and your family all the meat and you can cook it for as long or as little as you like!(unfortunately, we do not have a mexican restaurant however chefs in our La Carne A’la Carte Restaurant prepares dishes from all over South America, & Tacos are not on the menu). We have highly trained & specialist Security Guards on our beach 24 hours a day, 7 days a week who are aware of who are our guests and the odd ones wondering in, however, we do allow people to see what they have missed out on booking another hotel for their holiday. Our Guest Relations Officers can take any enquirer whether from the beach or the main gate and show them round the grounds, the rooms even offer them a drink whilst doing this, But not to worry, there are 100s of Cameras around the resort for Security purposes, and guests from the outside are never left alone, they always have someone accompanying them. As you mentioned, we have a wide variety of evening entertainment, as well as daytime entertainment. You have the opportunity to try belly dancing, air gun shooting, darts and even try your luck at “Survivor”, another creation made by Calistas Finest Entertainment team on the beach.. In regards to the Russian Market. Calista Luxury Resort is aimed for guests from all around the world, who enjoy being pampered, love living the life of Luxury & glamorously relaxing in the sun – which we have thousands of Guests repeatingly coming & earning their loyalty points which give them up to a 50% discount on their next visit!

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Yours Sincerely,

Customer Relationship Management Dept.

We visited Calista now for the 4th time.
Normally we never visit the same hotel ... but we love to make an exception for Calista Luxury Resort.
From the moment of check-in till check out, the service is classy, friendly and very professional.
Rooms are pure luxury ! I travelling a lot for business. And I can say that I never had a hotel in London, Barcelona, Paris, Madrid offering me the same luxury in 5 stars hotel, compared to Calista.
Swimming Pool, very esthetically, drawn within the garden of the hotel.
Food in the main restaurant is excellent. A la carte restaurants adds extra class to the dishes.
And in all cases, whenever you have a special demand, they will serve you with a smile. No questions asked.
Therefor :
It's simply impossible to expect more from an hotel.
My advise : please try Calista !! You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: We stayed in the main building with sea view. Pure delight !!!!

Yes, it is a very good resort, as far as I can say it is the best where I stayed in the region regarding the services. However the services were so good so they stole 400 USD from my safe deposit box....

Let me explain the situation. After we checked in I put our passports and the money in the safe deposit box in our room. (obviously traveling with a 2 years old kid you take some cash with you).
One day I opened the safe deposit box and toke some money ($ 120). Next day when I tried to open it the pin code wasn't working so I went to the front desk to open it for me.In 10 minutes a guy from the security arrived to our room (2309) and he open the vault and surprise !!! $ 400 missing ....

Obviously also I have reported this but after they checked the key log and the safe deposit box entry log they said that in their opinion there is nothing wrong (even if the hours and the dates between the logs wasn't even close). So, I am stupid enough to forget my pin code from the safe deposit box (which is the same I use all the time anywhere) and also so stupid to forget how much money I put in the safe deposit box.

I'm sorry for the Calista to post this but I'm pretty sure that this is an inside job and for sure it is not only one time job, so if anyone else was in the same situation please post.

P.S. Stayed in the resort 10-17 th June

Dear Mrs 'Jukaria',
First of all, We would like to say thank you for taking the time to write a review about Calista Luxury Resort on TripAdvisor.
After you informed our management about the unfortunate loss of money from your safety deposit box, Our Security Manager personally checked all the cameras & read the log from the safety deposit box and Door card reader. From these logs, (which were also presented to you) we found that no one entered the room between the hours that you mentioned including the housemaids, or mini bar attendants, and your safety deposit box was only opened in the hours that you had been in the room.
This is the first Allegation that Calista has ever had of lost money from the safety deposit boxes. We are more than happy to check everything again but the outcome will be the same.
yours sincerely,

Just returned from 10 days stay in Calista. It was our family's first time in Turkey, and we are happy we chose a right hotel for our holidays! Hotel is very nice - smart architecture which is pleasant to the eye and somehow dissolves the quite big number of visitors so that no place is crowded, there is enough sun beds by the pools and at the beach, no problem to get table in main restaurant during any meal, etc. Meal is really good, lots of choice. Rooms are very nice, clean. Kids loved the seaside (alas, it's not tropical blue-green see of pictures, but it was ok), and the pools are really good - including one semi-Olympic which is great if you like to swim and want to preserve some of good form during all-included type of holidays :) And many more sports possibilities, if you prefer tennis, or yoga, or golf, of course. All in all, our family - me, my husband, and our two kids (8 and 5) loved our holidays, and plan to come back someday.
