“Budget hotel standards, here you go!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW via mobile

This was the first year we had stayed at the Voyage after the past 4 years at the fantastic Cornelia Diamond (Rated #8 a joke!) and it wasn't really to our liking. We found the standards not as we had expected and this hotel is most definitely not 5star. It was almost like apartment blocks – small twined rooms (beds pushed together to give a double room feel) with a shower over a bath and an overall standard associated with a stay at a Novotel !!!
We had a tour of the Maxx Royale (sister hotel) and taking on-board the price difference this was on a totally different level to the Voyage indicated on TripAdvisor #1 & 2 respectively! The Maxx, yes but the Voyage.. No way! I can only assume the high number of reviews posted on the Voyage are by family’s visiting the hotel which elevates it to #2, ridiculous. Most disappointing and fair to say we would not recommend or consider the Voyage again.
The only positive comments would be:
1. A number of the staff, notably - Aysia, Serhat and Cumali who where extremely attentive, professional and hard working;
2. The Japanese (@+€15 per head charge) Chinese & the Mexican al a carte restaurants where excellent along with the Adult (+16) restaurant. (The Steak a House with a +€20 per head charge is not worth it)
This is an honest objective appraisal of the Voyage by someone who has travelled and stayed at some of the best hotels on both leisure & business.

We stayed at the Voyage Belek for 2 weeks from 31 August to 14 September. Let me begin by saying that we had a truly wonderful holiday and would not hesitate to stay here again.

The grounds:
The grounds are immaculately maintained and are lovely to wander around. The hotel's main reception is not very impressive, but this is not the main building and the hotel definitely has the wow factor once inside the grounds!

Food and drink:
As a couple in our 20s with no children, we mainly ate and drank in the adult only parts of the hotel. The adult only buffet is of extremely high standard, and we enjoyed eating there almost as much as at the a la carte restaurants.
We went to the main buffet restaurant one breakfast time and vowed never again - it was absolutely hectic. Simply not worth the hassle if you don't have children of your own, but plenty of choice for even the fussiest little ones if you have them!
We were regulars in Planet Bar, which has a Hard Rock Cafe type of feel to it and was a great place to relax at the end of the day. The staff in here are a credit to the hotel, and are a great laugh as well as very hard working.
Our favourite restaurant was Yaki Yaki Japanese restaurant, which was so good we went twice for our final two nights of our holiday. Our chef was extremely skilful, and watching her cook the food was almost as enjoyable as eating it!
All of the other a la carte restaurants were extremely good, but our favourite of the ones you don't need to pay extra for was the Mexican. I agree with other reviewers' comments that the quantity of starters was a little bit OTT in several a la carte restaurants, and we had to leave quite a lot in order to save space for our mains! However, excessive quantity certainly did not mean a compromise on quality, as the food was universally very good.

Entertainment:
The entertainment team are extremely hard-working and try their best to get people involved in activities. We enjoyed shooting and playing water polo, and had great fun at the four seasons/white party and the family pier party.
The shows in the amphitheatre at 9.30 each evening were all very good in our opinion. Although less polished than the professionals, the entertainment team deserve real credit for their efforts in the performances they put on, whilst the outside acts we saw (dancers and roller bladers and stunt cyclists) were absolutely excellent - far, far better than I'd expect to find in any hotel entertainment programme.

The pools:
We mainly stayed around the adult only pool and never had trouble getting poolside loungers at around 9am. Much later and we'd have missed out, however! We loved having this pool to relax at, but often visited the main pool to see what was going on and join in with activities. We also went on the water slides, which were really quite fast and scary! If you have older kids or are a big kid at heart, you'll love the King Cobra!

The room: We stayed in A Block on the 5th floor, and our room was spacious and comfortable. The view was spectacular, with the Maxx Royal fountain straight ahead, the sea to the left, and a view for miles out to the mountains to the right. Our air conditioning was extremely effective, if a little bit noisy. Overall, we were very happy with our room. The only downside is that it was at the very end of the corridor, next door to the cleaners' store room, so it wouldn't suit anyone who likes a lie in as the cleaners could be heard chatting and moving their trolleys and camp beds right outside the door from about 8am. They weren't being excessively loud, and it didn't bother us as we like to be up early to make the most of our days on holiday.
A block is well located, very close to the main building and all of the restaurants. However, there is only one lift, and it's very small, wasn't cleaned well enough, and was very often in use by the cleaners or other guests, meaning that we had to take the stairs or wait ages.

A couple of other points:
Please note that these aren't intended as criticisms, but I think they're observations worth mentioning:
The staff are friendly and helpful, but some do not speak very good English. We often found that they couldn't understand us if we deviated from simply stating what drink or food we wanted. Also, when we were going on an excursion to Istanbul leaving at 4.30am, we went to the Bistro to ask for cheese sandwiches (which are on the menu) to take with us to eat later. Unfortunately, it was only at the last minute, when waiting for our coach to the airport, that we realised they'd given us cheese burgers! We were in Turkey, not the UK, and the staff have a stab at English, German, and Russian, so please take this as a heads up rather than a complaint!
Finally, the hotel is home to quite a large cat population. The cats are well looked after and, as animal lovers, we actually really enjoyed having them there. However, as they are free to wander wherever, including into the outside a la carte restaurants, some people may not like this.

Overall, we absolutely loved the hotel, and the few things I've highlighted which may be taken as negatives in no way prevented us from having a wonderful holiday. We really hope to be back again soon!

Room Tip: A block or the main building if you like to be in the middle of things, B block if you prefer a quie...

We stayed in A block on the top floor at the front, sun 1st thing in the morning for an early riser just ideal. this is what we had booked and were not disappointed.

Adult restaurant, used this for most meals, excellent choice and never a time when we were struggling to have something we fancied. Never any problems getting a table either. Staff were attentive particularly Umat.

Adult pool, always managed a sunbed where we wanted, that said we were there early, there are few towels that are down for hours without guest's, age old problem that we will probably never get a satisfactory solution to. Staff at the snack bar and bar were again attentive, particularly Mine behind the bar. Like to mention Kadic who looks after the pool grounds etc, this guy was ever cheerful and never stopped working, nothing was to much trouble for him.

Adult pier, went a few times, if you want a bed you will need to get there before 8am, serious sunbathers here, again a few towels but in general most of these people were there on and off all day.

Bars, spread ourselves around the bars more this time, we didn't really base ourselves in one as we have done in the past, favourite was the Planet though, Ferdy and his team are a joy, efficient when it is busy but a right good laugh at slower times.

Alacarts, no problems booking at all, that said there were only two of us.

Chinese was good that said not our favourite foreign food.

Greek, felt a bit rushed and didn't think the service was great, was not like this any other time we have been there.

Turkish, really enjoyed this one.

Italian, we were stuck beside the entrance door to kitchen again, rattling plates staff shouting orders, then rushed meals not what you expect from an alacart, the hotel need to sort this area out, we spoke to other guests, they were in a more secluded area and loved it. If we went back and were offered this area again we would probably walk out if we weren't offered anything else.

Steak house, excellent again and staff really attentive. This restaurant was not busy and staff were constantly going round drumming up business. We were asked three times in our 1st four days if we wanted to book, once we went we were never asked again despite staff still going round, couldn't get our heads round this, yes we had our visit but surley if they need customers and repeats are willing to pay get them back. The 20 euro charge is worth it but can understand the reluctance of guests to pay this.

Mexican, our favourite this time round, excellent food and service.

Rooms and grounds were clean and in general all the staff are polite and welcoming, yes the place has a few issues especially if you look for them but we think these are minor and are constantly getting addressed. A good mix of guests from all over including large golfing parties, no problems
from anyone.

Would we go back? Price would need to stabilise, but at around what we paid yes.

Room Tip: Book the room you want, dont go cheap and try for free upgraded, chances are you will not get upgrad...

Having not stayed at an All Inclusive resort it is hard to judge this hotel and apprise it against similar establishments. However, I have to say this is an very good hotel.

On arrival you are scooted off to your room on a golf buggy with your luggage follows. Rooms are spacious, well pointed, bright and clean. We were originally given a huge room in the main building, but the balcony whilst having a sea-view also over looked a sizeable collection of AC units. We called Guest Relations and were moved with in 10 minutes. Into a smaller but equally nice room in B-Block which still had a sea-view.

Staff were all very, very friendly and helpful.

Food was also very good. Despite being told it was hard to book the al-carte restaurants we managed to eat at 6 of them. The surprise was the Steak Restaurant which whilst carrying a premium was the worst we ate at. It was too brightly lit and the music was too much of a party atmosphere for romanic meal (Saxophone playing "One Banana, Two Banana"..).

The Chinese was good as where Turkish and Fish Restaurants. The later two did however come with the largest starter courses known to man. Both served up all the cold and hot starters as standard, this ran to over ten starter dishes for two people! The Mexican and Italian were both excellent. I love italian food and it was spot on as good as I have had in Italy.

The breakfast buffet in the Adult Restaurant was good and the Bar at the Adult Pool was good for a lunchtime snack.

Drinks were good, the wine was so,so but most restaurants had a wine list which cost extra but was good value. Local beer was standard euro-fizz affair, good cocktail list and sprits. Service in all the bars was ok. Few occasions orders seemed to forgotten. But that was rare.

The pools were nice, the entertainment expansive and varied. All tastes accommodated for, from the Lion King to a FoamParty type affair called the "White Party" at the outside Adult Pool Bar.

Lots of attention to detail, free fruit bar, self service drinks and ice-creams at the pools. Excellent free Wifi, did a speed test and got 50Mbps. Which is more than enough to spark up a VPN and connect to iPlayer (I imagine)...

One down side was the on-site shops. We ran close to running out of Sun Cream, they wanted £20 for a tube of Factor 15 you could get for under £10 at a chemist.

Room Tip: B-Block rooms are quiet and not close to any of the outside entertainment spaces. They also have th...

Just returned from 10 days at the VB with my partner and our 2 children (2yrs and 4 yrs old).

We stayed in a Family room in the main A Block with a sea view.

Our room was great, nice and clean and spacious. A few things that need to be improved though:

1) There was a real lack of storage. Considering there were 4 of us with clothes to unpack and put somewhere, there was not ONE chest of drawers for us to put our belongings.
2) Lighting in the rooms was terrible. They need to put in a few lamps or install a few more spotlights as it was very dimly lit.
3) Hairdryer in the bathroom was terrible. It had hardly any power to it and got so hot after a few minutes use I couldn't hold it. I've read on another review since coming home that they called Guest Services and reported the problem and were promptly sent another one to use. I wish I had done the same instead of just putting up with it!

The food in the restaurants was excellent, and considering the number of guests they have to cater for, I'm extremely impressed. I don't think I've ever had this quality at another AI resort before.

The facilities were all very good from the swimming pools, beach, public toilets, mini golf, soft play, fairground...........the list goes on! There is so much to do every day with your children its great!

One bit of feedback with the Kids Club - just be careful if your child joins in on one of the excursions to the swimming pool. My son who is 4 can't really swim very well and he joined in with their games at the pool one afternoon. Thankfully we were there watching too, as at the end of all the games, they got the kids to all join hands and jump in the (deep) pool. My son joined in as he didn't quite realise what was happening, and ended up in trouble in the water and couldn't get to the side to get out. He was pulled out in tears and terrified. Needless to say we didn't let him join in with kids club at the pool again! I find it shocking that the Kids Club workers (who were all lovely by the way!) didn't think to check whether he could swim before getting him to line up and jump in. Scared the life out of me!!

The entertainment team work hard and I know some others have complained about the noise around the pool and at night, but for me, I really enjoyed all of that and found it made the holiday a bit more fun and lively. Certainly I think most people seemed to like it and many people joined in the silly games etc.

As we were there with our children we didn't get to see the Adult 16+ facilities, but its great that the Hotel provides this as there are so many children/families staying here that you definitely need this separation so your holiday isn't ruined by screaming children!!

All in all though, a FANTASTIC holiday and we would definitely go back!

Having travelled to Belek on two previous occasions, both in early September staying at the Rixos Premium and Xanadu, these few words for our 2nd TA review are probably influenced by our previous Belek experiences.

As a whole we have enjoyed our stay at the Voyage, without covering too much of what has been stated before we think you are seeing a trend developing here, the hotel rooms, grounds, food and staff will not disappoint, we found staff at all levels to be courteous and friendly, the food very good and the hotel grounds and rooms clean and tidy. What you cannot account for is the hotels clientele! The clientele that the hotel appears to be targeting along with their offspring certainly like to be heard and their behaviour is somewhat undesirable, an example that particularly stands out of this was one morning whilst using the gym (very well equipped and complete with indoor pool) we happened to witness children under the supervision/aid of their parents using the hotels gardens for toilets!

We did have an immediate problem with our first room, upon arrival and within 10mins of switching the aircon unit on it started to leak water down all over the floor, at 4:30am this was not the best start, maintenance came out and did not resolve the issue and made quite a mess in attempting to do so, reception advised we would be reallocated a room later that morning. We we're offered a choice of two rooms both in A block (as per our original booking) the 1st being tiny facing the rear of the Maxx Royal with the drone of their generators etc, the 2nd being a good sized twin room with an obstructed view of the relax pool. We would think after this kind of incident that you would normally be offered an upgrade in compensation for any inconvenience but we were happy to settle on this room and the air conditioning thankfully was faultless for the remaining duration of our holiday.

Thankfully the Hotel caters for couples etc with Adult 16+ only areas, these are required without doubt, we have not experienced this number of infants in September before. There is a Buffet for Breakfast/lunch/dinner, a pool with a snack bar, a grassed area, beach area and a pier all 16+, yes as mentioned by others you do get a minority ignoring this and wonder through but there are members of staff in place to point their 'mistake' out.

We ate at 5 of the al a carte restaurants, the Italian being our favourite and the Chinese being our least favourite, it felt quite chaotic rather than a relaxed ambience the others create. Be warned the Greek, Fish and Turkish restaurants bring out a huge amount of starters, placed down in front of you with an introduction but without really an option to decline any of them, it did feel a little wasteful not being able to eat them all. A suggestion to the hotel would be to make the later reservation times 16+ to avoid children running and screaming around the restaurants. Be sure not to miss the BBQ'd kofta's between 4-6pm, these are cooked near the beach front fruit hut and are takeaway, ideal to take back to your sunbed.

Would we return/recommend the voyage? The answer would probably be yes, but in low season,it is almost like the hotel needs to rebrand itself as a 100% family/kids club/water splashworld in high season and not a golf and spa resort. It also leaves us maybe not being lead so much by the TA ranking and definitely looking more towards the family/couples ratio of reviews when researching our next all inclusive holiday in Belek.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms facing the Maxx Royal, they overlook a service road, numerous aircon units/generators an...

My Sister & I are still here & we think overall this hotel is extremely good. It tries to please everybody. We had a fantastic night at the Greek restaurant & would recommend you try as many A la carte's as you can. Also, free wifi is excellent. We were upgraded from a bungalow to a room in main building & the room is clean & modem. My only gripe is that Im not very tall & found the bath hard to get out of & Im a young'un!! Would I come back? Hell yes.
