“10 day relaxing family holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2012

Went on our first all inclusive family holiday and decided to stay at Voyage Golf & Spa on advice from a family member.
We booked through First Choice 4 months before departure (which made it less expansive than booking later). We stayed for 10 days, instead of 7 as it worked out less expensive, for some reason? We arrived on the 17th of April, a day after the school Easter holiday ended (which again made it less expensive).
When we landed in Turkey we were met by a First Choice rep who told us what coach to get. We were only seated about 10 mins before we left and the trip to the Hotel took about 25 mins and Voyage was the first drop off point. Check in was quick and within several mins were taken to our room on a large golf cart.
After freshening up we went for a walk to see what was going on and get some food. It was 5pm and the main restaurant was not yet open, but there was 4 other places to eat and in the main lobby you can sit down, order drinks and have whatever cakes you want from the cake stall or ice cream.
The main restaurant opened at 7pm and the choice was great, so much to choose from, with a little childrens restaurant within the main one, with baby food and milk as well. Service was quick and we found the staff friendly and polite.
The whole resort was very well kept and clean and had lovely gardens. There was an inside pool, a childs pool with several slides and a large pool with sections for children and another outside pool for relaxing.
There was drink, food and ice creams on tap, which our 5 year old son loved. The beach was clean with plenty of sunbeds and towels. Our room was not in the main building, which we liked as it was quiet. Our room had 2 single beds, plenty of wardrobe and draw space, nice bathroom and our bedroom had a king size bed with tv etc... We also had a small fridge with drinks that were replaced everyday. Towels and bedding was also changed everyday. The childrens club was superb, with plenty to do, face painting, mini disco and pizza making, among just a few activities for the children to enjoy. There was also a few rides for the children (Yener is very friendly and excellent with children!) and plenty for teenagers and adults to do. Cinema, night club, Swmming, golf, table tennis, tennis, football, there was a gym and Turkish bath.
Only problem we had was everything is in Euros. Being from England going on holiday to Turkey, we took Turkish Lira. They still accepted Lira, but the shops within the hotel didn't seem to pleased and were very over priced in my view.
The spa was nice, but no cheaper then England, infact the treatments were more. There is a shopping plaza 20-30 min walk (depending on your speed) from the hotel. Plenty of shops, selling leather goods, clothes (mainly fake) tea, coffee Turkish Delight and Jewellery shops. Again they gave a price in Euros, but will accept most currencies, just make sure you know the exchange rate so you are not paying over the odds. There is a little bus pulled by a tractor that leaves every 30 mins. To catch it you walk to the main road from the hotel, cross over and wait at the bus stop. It costs 2 Lira per person each way and will accept all currencies. Hope this review was helpful. As a family we enjoyed everyday spending time together, relaxing and getting away from the cold English weather.

Just had a week here ,3 golfers and 1 non golfer ( me). Can't praise it too highly. Spotlessly clean, lots to do, food to die for. Tried the Italian and Moroccan restaurants, both very good, but we were more than happy to eat in the adult a la carte. The entertainment was a nice ending to the evening, before a nightcap and early night. .Plenty of sunbeds everywhere. I went to the relax pool one day while the others were golfing, but found it a little boring, so returned to the main pool and the beach. The only gripe I had, and this is really nitpicking, was the poor lighting in the bedroom and bathroom, difficult to put on make up. We shall certainly be going back here. We went with Elegant Golf resorts and they provided all we could possibly ask for. One of our best ever holidays.

Room Tip: We were in block B near reception, very quiet, 5 minute walk to facilities but we needed the exercis...

Having been to the Belek area of Antalya on numerous occasions and staying in various Hotels of Quality in this area, you will not be disappointed staying here. From the time you get sorted in reception for your room all your luggage is taken there for you. There are loads of restaurants and Bars and some where no children are allowed. There was an overwhelming variety of food for everyones taste and nothing was too much trouble for the very friendly staff in all departments of the Hotel. Rooms were cleaned every day with clean towels etc.etc..One thing to annoy is if your room is near Disco as the boom boom boom can stop you sleeping until after 2 am. Other areas of entertainment were very good, the Beach is a few yards from the swimming pool areas and as usual all water sports is catered for but with extra cost. Another high is the Ice Cream assortment such as tubs, Magnum type Chock bars and just help yourself where it could be an expensive extra elsewhere. Finally, as said before I have used different Hotels of Quality but this one is up there with the best.

Travelled with 16 friends for a 40th golf association anniversary week. Hotel recommended by specialist travel agent - Golfkings of Glasgow, who were terrific. We played 3 rounds of golf.

The Hotel
Our group included hoteliers, and everyone agreed that the hotel was the best one we'd ever been to. Really fascinated by the minute number of dissatisfied guests who - basically - should get a life.
The rooms were very well appointed and clean with good room and maid service.
The hotel facilities were superb and spread over a large area. Plenty for everyone to do, from relaxing to energetic activities. Everywhere was spotless.
The staff were all very friendly, and the odd 5 euros tips were greatly appreciated.
The food - what can I say - tremendously varied with a choice for everyone. Different soups, fish, meats, salads, sweets to die for. Well cooked, hot and tasty......everything. Biggest choice I've ever seen. The a la carte restaurants were also excellent - the steakhouse serving beautiful steaks to perfect order. The Chinese and Italian restaurants did try to rush us a bit, but the set menus were excellent.
Drinks were branded - all as seen in UK. Bars throughout the place with pleasant and efficient barmen.
In April, the hotel was only partially full - we all had single occupancy at no extra cost.....again, down to our excellent travel agent - Golfkings of Glasgow..
The main pool was not heated, and at 20 degrees was too cold for us. The weather was around 22 degrees, but of course we had between 28 and 37 degrees in the full sun. Beach lovely, but sea was 18 degrees, so again too cold for us.
Guests were a mixture of British, German, Dutch, Russian, Scandinavian and some languages I didn't recognise.

The Golf
Perfect courses made all the more challenging with fast greens, water and sand in beach quantity. Perfect transfers to the courses. Pity it is not possible to advance reserve buggies - a problem for those elderly golfers who now need a buggy......that's a few of us. The course staff were very good.

Prices
This was an all inclusive holiday, but some extras are inevitible - tips, a la carte, buggies and the like. However - just check these prices out:-
Small packet of nuts from hotel shop £8.50
Tube toothpaste and sun cream in hotel shop £34
Other items in hotel shops - don't even ask.
G&T at golf club £8.00
Very small can of Effes beer at golf club....£4.30
Polo shirt at golf club £85.00
G&T in Belek bar £8
Beer in Belek bar £4 - £6
Shop prices in Belek no - you wouldn't believe it.

Belek town centre itself is very nice - it's only 17 years old, but the all inclusive hotels have made a difference. As far as I could find out, local wages vary from £40 to £80 per week.

We will go back - a great golfing holiday which will be hard to beat.

My wife and I visited the Voyage Hotel through First Choice for our first ever visit to Turkey. On arrival on Friday 13th April we received our room keys and walked the short distance to our ground floor "bungalow" room. Although we arrived too late to use one of the main restuarants (thanks Thomson for putting our flight times back three hours!) we were pointed in the direction of the 24 hour bistro in the Mexican restaurant "El Pato Pequeño" where we ordered Tuna salads and Steak sandwiches and beers. Very good too!

On the Saturday we walked (about 20-30 mins, 2 km) into Belek Village which we had passed on the coach the previous evening. Saturday is market day and the market is huge, with everything on sale from fruit and veg to watches, clothes and handbags. Haggling is definitely expected and is quite good fun! If you do stop for a beer (as we did) check prices first as 30 Lira for two beers came as something of a surprise! A taxi back to the Hotel was 13 Lira. Later in the week we went back by bus and it cost just 5 Lira for the two of us (single trip).

During our stay my wife had a massage and full Turkish bath soapy scrubdown which she said was slightly strange as she was all but stripped off by the staff with a male stranger lying next to her! I tried out a couple of the local golf courses; There are free shuttles from the Hotel to Montgomerie course every 20 minutes, and it only takes 5 minutes to get there. I also visited Gloria Old course by taxi, which cost 35 Lira for the return trip (again about 5 mins). Montgomerie was in great condition and was an excellent test. I played it twice and would definitely go back. It was as good as anything I have played in the USA or Portugal. Gloria was not quite as good and very slow (5 hours) but still fun.

We found no problems booking any of the A la carte restaurants by the automated telephone booking system. We ate at the Chinese, Greek, Mexican, Fish, Teppanyaki and Turkish restaurants and they were all good. Our favourites were probably the Teppanyaki and the Mexican although the waiters in the Turkish restaurant were very helpful too and allowed us to stray from the set menu to give us the best experience possible.

We tended to eat at the Adult restaurant for Breakfast and lunch, although we did use the pool bar at the Adult pool for lunch once where they did pizzas. The food everywhere is excellent and there is a massive variety.

It is easy not to spot the Beer House between the Mexican restaurant and the reception, but it's a nice spot to have a quiet beer. Planet Bar in the main hotel has live music most nights but can get quite crowded. There is also the lobby bar for a relaxing drink at any time.

The beach was lovely and there were lots of sunbeds available. It was really easy to relax in the hotel. It is hard to find any recommendations for improvements at the Voyage. Some of the workmanship in the bathrooms was questionable and there didn't appear to be a Hydrotherapy pool, but there is a (ridiculously hot) steam room, a sauna and a Turkish bath as well as an indoor pool. There is also a well-equipped Gym, a hairdresser and numerous shops selling handbags, souvenirs, watches, jewellery, an indoor Games room and Bowling alley.

The Voyage was a fantastic choice for a first trip to Turkey as there is a huge choice of food and drink, it is close to Belek, has great access to the beach and lots to keep one occupied even if the weather isn't great.

Antalya airport was very efficient and modern too! We definitely hope to return soon.

Room Tip: We enjoyed our location in the Bungalow rooms in the Gardens as it was close to the Mexican restaura...

6 of us spent 4 nights at this excellent Hotel on a golf trip. Although the Hotel is very big it is spread over a very large site, right on a soft sandy beach. The rooms were fine & exactly what you would expect. The food was outstanding in all of the restaurants but do try the Steak & Sea food restaurants. All of the staff were really friendly, the facilities too numerous to mention but all in tip top condition. The gardens were beatifully maintained & there was never any signs of litter. Great value for money.

Room Tip: Avoid a room over the main restaurants in block B
