We stayed in a nearby hotel in Belek last year and had a brilliant holiday there. This year we changed because this hotel was cheaper - but what a surprise when we got there. It really is a 5 star hotel, with a very impressive foyer, colonial style lounge bar and several sets of lifts to the various floors, multiple restaurants, indoor pool, 3 outdoor pools, conference centre, shopping mall, pool bars, etc. Our standard room was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked 24 hours a day for the seven days we stayed there, keeping the room at about 20 degrees C when it was in the high 30's outside. The hotel has large gardens which lead directly onto the beach (90 hectares or more!). The pool area was large but could be a bit noisy (from the music) at times. There were always loads of available shaded loungers on the beach. The staff are wonderful, always polite and helpful. The food is excellent and more than plentiful. It is an all inclusive hotel and we had cocktails before dinner, wine with our food , coffee after. On three nights we had a la carte meals in the Turkish , Japanese and Italian restaurants respectively. There were three other a la carte restaurants , Mexican, Fish and Chinese. These were all included in the all inclusive price (we paid £650 per person for 7 nights including flights and transfers). Most of the other guests were a mixture of Dutch, German and eastern European, with about 5% being British. I cannot speak more highly of the hotel and its staff and have already told loads of friends that if they are after a perfect week away in the sun in relaxing surroundings then the ICT Santai is the place to go!

We have just returned from a 7-day-so-relaxing-holiday spent at this resort. We enjoyed our staying so much: nice food, very clean rooms, super pool, very cozy lobby bar and last but not least - great and professional animation team! We had no problem with air conditioning system (as I have read in some reviews), in rooms and restaurants it worked just fine.
As for the weak points: if you wanted a chaise-long near the pool you should have waken up early in the morning, otherwise you would have only the choice of the beech chairs. And, for the ones who look for details: the furniture of the rooms is for a 4 star hotel, very simple and not expensive.
But, in our opinion, comparing with other resorts we stayed in during past years in Turkey, we got a great value for the paid money!!!

It was our first trip to Turkey but it was amazing. We loved beach, food, swimming pools, green spaces. I will recomend this hotel especially for family with young children.

this was our 7th time in Turkey (2nd to belek) we loved every time except for this one!
it will be easier if i list problems because there are so many. some you may think are petty but when you add them together it can spoil your holiday.

no air conditioning in restaurants corridors lifts gym squash court indoor pool area. it worked fine in our room but some guest have complained about it.

there are no double beds in the hotel at all unless you book one of the luxury apartments. you have to have 'french beds' (push the beds together) i thought wee were being fobbed off by reception with this at irst but asked several guests and they had all had to do the same.

sheets were changed once in a week. i know this because there was a little hole in the sheet that only changed on the next to last day.

we wanted a late check out room but the hotel was fully booked - fair enough they have a place you can shower and change - problem being the changing rooms are as hot as a sauna and we both felt we needed showers after getting changed as we were dripping with sweat.

there were ony 2 other guest in the hotel that were english. it wouldn't be much of a problem because many europeans can speak english. an example of how its not nice is when they were starting a show and they shout do we have anyone from... 'russia' ... 'germany' ... 'croatia' 'ukraine' etc a few other contries but uk was never mentioned even though the chief animator knew there were english guests. he also refused to have anyone from england take paert in the shows.

if you've been to turkey before and had turkish animators you will definately notice the difference with the russian ones. they are good in their own way but just not as much fun e.g not interested in walking around the place talking to all the guest like we are used to and they're just not the friendly outgoing type who want to have fun and get people involved. i can't speak for the kids animation as we don't have choldren.

many other small probles, i wont list them all but one of them is that it took us 4 days to get squash raquets we kept being sent up and down from animation box to reception with them saying other guests hanen't returned them and they were waiting. no effort to get them back until we has to harrass them on the 4th day when they said 'oh actually there may be another place they could be' by this point it was too late to play but they found them and we managed to plat on the 5th day albeit with no air con. point here is they weren't helpful, should have looked in the first place and why doesn't a 5* hotel have a spare set in case things like this happen. you may think i'm being petty over squash raquets but there were so many minor issues that it just ruined our time.

spillages of drinks around pool areas were not cleaned until the evening when everyone had left the pool so all day long you would have to trample on ants in bear feet. EW!

don't get me wrong, you will probably have a good time if you have aready booked to go. its just that i have so many experiences of turkey to compare it to and every other place was 10 times better than this one so my point is that i would advise to book somewhere else if you've not already booked your holiday.

oh and one more thing is that the service in the restaurants (drinks) is terrible. usually in turkey the staff can't do enough for you and are great but not this hotel. we could sit and wait 10-15 mins and eventyually have to go to the bar (only waiters are supposed to go to the restaurant ones) and order ourselves. we would sometimes sit through a full meal with nothing to drink!

i give this hotel a rating of one even though it probably deserves a 2 just to bring the rating down a bit because it seems to be the russian reviews that are 4 and 5 wheras if there was an average for english reviews it would probably be 2-3.
