We arrived at around 9.00pm on 21st June. Booking in was fairly quick and we were sent off to find our villa as they call the blocks. Took a little while to find in the dark (not a problem in daylight!). Our cases soon arrived by porter. We were a party of five, myself and husband, our daughter and two grandchildren aged 4 and 5 months. We had asked for adjoining rooms and were given what I assume is a family room. This consisted of a very large room with double bed, sofa bed and cot, with a large bathroom then through a door was another room with twin beds and another smaller shower room. There was a mini-bar in the double room and a tv in each bedroom giving a few English channels including the disney channel. The rooms were spotlessly clean with linen and towels changed everyday we were there. The staff around the hotel speak very little english, if you can speak a little German it will go a long way. English guests are definitely a minority, with probably 70 per cent of guests being Russian and the rest a mixture of German and French, only a handful of English the week we were there. Maybe August would be different when the schools break up! The food at the hotel was great, you could eat and drink from 7.00am through to 2.00am next morning somewhere in the hotel. Breakfast was 7.00am till 10.00am then late breakfast for an hour. The snack bar near the large pool is 11.00am till 4.00pm. There are pancakes at the beach pool, waffles, popcorn and candy floss at various times. Dinner is from 7.00pm. There doesn't seem to be a dress code as such, as long as your decent. I did see one woman get told off for entering the dining room in a bikini top (and rightly so). The animation team try really hard to get everyone involved in activities. There are adult pool games twice a day. Kids clubs. Nightly shows in the amphitheatre, a disco at the beach bar and a beach party on Friday nights. There is also a small market that arrives in the hotel on a Friday evening selling the usual copy watches, perfume and leather goods. One word of warning, there seemed to be rather a lot of people with dressing s on their chins, I can only assume these were injuries caused by the slides (they are pretty fast). If you do need any medical attention, as my grandson did after stepping on what we thought was a thorn, there is supposed to be a nurse on duty from 9.00am - 5.00pm. She wasn't there the day we needed her. The doctor took less than 10 minutes to remove what turned out to be the end of a wooden skewer and charged £75! We then found out the nurse cannot do anything except dress wounds anyway. Another word of warning with regards to cash. In the hotel shops they always ask for euros. We only took lira and were being charged double lira to the euro. For example they wanted 3 euro for a bag of crisps and 6 lira. £3 for a bag of crisps! A bucket and spade cost the equivalent of £10 and a small plastic ball £5. There are no prices on anything, so they seem to charge what they like at the time. However you don't actually need to spend a penny on this holiday. All that said we had a great holiday and would definitely go back. Highly recommend it.
