“Lovely quiet break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Hotel the last in line of a seafront hotel. Hard walking but we walked along to where the river meets the sea, it was too deep to wade across. The hotel was lovely and clean, could have done with a few more bar staff on, but we found a small bar upstairs to sit and have a drink. There was usually live music on around the bar. We took advantage of the one free a la carte restaurant chosing the italian, it was a lovely meal. The rest of the food was good although sometimes only warm and I must admit I do like my food hot. We were in a two storey apartment type accomodation, lovely and clean and you could help yourself to the water etc in the fridge, no charge. The staff were very good and helpful, we were the last customers to check out as the hotel was then closing for the winter. We were allowed to keep on our room till 6 o'clock when our transfer picked us up, they also made sure that we had food lunch time and would have even provided food before we left. Booked the Turkish Bath trip with Thomas Cook alot cheaper than the hotels massages, although we did use the sauna and bath, few too many children in there put us off a bit, Could do with adult only times. Would stay there again.

Room Tip: We were not too far from the reception and found it quiet.

Just returned from a week at Asteria with our teenage daughter,
Good points.. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, Beautiful pools ,Great for families with younger kids,
Close to a lovely beach, with a clean calm sea, Nice bars with branded drinks, and drinkable beer and wine! there is a lovely beach bar with waiter service for lunch, impeccable gardens and grounds, sun beds are plentiful, an adults only relax pool with posh beds with mattresses!! Sauna and Turkish bath suite for all to use

Bad points, well actually Minor Gripes!...our room was a tad disappointing, the beds were a touch on the hard side, and there was three single beds, when we complained about this they came straight away, and pushed the two singles together and secured them with cable ties.... hmmm, There was also a big tree growing right in front of our balcony, so views were hard to come by! and so as daylight for that matter!! although this would help keep the room cool in the hight of summer i expect, talking of cool, the air con is turned off at night,... a bit annoying!.. Us Brits are well and truly out numbered here, a bad thing for our daughter, as she had to put up with mum and dad all week, as there were no friends for here to make. A taxi driver told us it was 40% german, 40% Russian and the rest made up of Austrians French and us poor Brits!! We were made to feel welcome by all especially the bar staff! perhaps we are a novelty, or maybe its because we say please and thanks!
The food was generally good, although a little repetitive
Anyway, we had a great week in a lovely hotel.... would we come back? definitely maybe!!

just returned from our family holiday to club asteria on 2nd november and i have to say i was very impressed with this hotel. we travelled as a family of 3 and also our 2 friends and we all loved it! The hotel is very clean, rooms lovely, we had myself, my partner and 3 year old daughter in our room and there was still plenty of space, safes free, free mini bar stocked daily with soft drinks and water and towels changed every day.

the food was plentiful, always something to eat and you never go hungry. always tables in the main restaurant (well we never had any problems) and there were plenty of high chairs for the youngsters. if you are looking for A* food, you are going to the wrong place, and i dont mean this hotel, i mean turkey in general, if you are looking for typical british food then just stay in england!!!!! food was served throughout the day, breakfast dinner and tea in main restaurant, then pool bar served burgers, chicken, pasta, chips etc from 1300-1600, pancake lady was near the beach from 11-1700, waffles from 1530-1630, popcorn from 1630-1730 and candy floss from 1700-1800 so as you can see u never went hungry, and the kids are always satisfied. drinks included on all inclusive are fab, ALL international brands free, some to mention- dissarrano, baileys, malibu and even jaegermeister!
weather was fabulous much to our surprise as we came late on in the year and didnt really have high expectiations of the weather, but had 1 rainy day and 1 cloudy day out of 7, temps some days got up to 29 degrees.
pools and slides great but very cold (again expected due to time of year) we didnt let this get us down and just swam anyway, even my daughter. the sea was warmer although the beach was very stony. the park was also fab for the kids!

the hotel changes your beach towel daily which was great. if you have young children then take your lilo's, rubber rings and armbands etc as they are very expensive in the hotel shop.

entertainment great and animations team work very hard, as do all of the hotel staff.

if i was to mention only 1 downside, its that the hotel is basically in the middle of nowhere, therefore if you are the type of person who likes to venture out this is ot the place for you, this didnt bother us as there was plenty to do on the complex.

overall we had an amazing time and are already looking at booking again for nxt year.

Just returned from our family holiday in Belek Turkey,(Club Asterira). It was a nice complex sadly over-run with German guests,(not that I have a problem with them), but there wasn't many British there at all! The accomadation was very nice & clean as was the rest of the complex, but the food well dont get me started!!! It was SOOOO repetative,(to say the least)! There was no waiter/waitress service, the tables, well, hard to find a free one but when you did you then had to search for cutlery! The main reason for that was because they just dont have enough staff. The play parks for the kids were good, the swimming pools also good as were the water slides. The evening entertainment was not very good at all.The smokers on the complex had a free run of the place, where ever you sat you were breathing in someone elses smoke! Apart from the main restaurant, thankfully!

Wonderful facilities including great pools, slides, children's facilities and beautiful setting. Given this it is such a shame that the hotel is intent on cutting corners to obviously maximise profits. The hotel was extremely busy meaning it was difficult to get a sun bed in the sun, huge queues at dinner meant we rarely all sat down at the table at the same time as one another to eat. Food was plentiful but very repetitive. Likewise there simply weren't enough bar staff so it took forever to get a drink.Be aware that the Air conditioning is now switched off at night. We also learned that the hotel has recently changed the rooms offered but failed to update their website with this information so you may not get the room you anticipated. Such a shame that greed appears to be stopping this hotel from being the best that the facilities suggest it could be.

A good family all inclusive resort although an adult only pool has been added recently.Plenty activities for youngsters and a mini village too for them which includes two pools a park and various thatched houses hosting activities.Food plentiful but repetitive.Staff very attentive to requirements.Beach sandy but very stoney at entry to sea so suitable shoes needed.Air con. worked well and you were in control, not centraly which is a bonus.Gardens magnificent and well tended.Entertainment could be better.Nothing immediately outside to walk to.Not many english use this hotel and there numbers have declined in recent years.Don`t know why?Various room locations to either be in shade , sunshine or quiet .

A great all inclusive resort with plenty of food variety although after a week it may get a bit boring. There are three A la carte restaurants on this large resort with a number of bars. The resort has a private sandy beach with a pier and watesports available. The resort has tennis courts, tourist info, table tennis, volleyball, kids shows daily, archery and a separate spa with Turkish bath. There is plenty for families to do and te kids to be entertained. Kids have some great pools and play areas and there is a large adult only pool. The hotel service is amazing and although the rooms are basic there is plenty to do on the resort. The rooms have mini drink fridges which are topped up daily as part of all inclusive packages.

Hotel is approx 35km from Antalya Airport. It takes 40mins. Book transfers before you leave, taxi are very expensive with petrol prices in the country being so high. Transfers can be booked by transfers4u.com

Turkish currency is Lira although they accept Euros everywhere too but remember not to get confused with the two. From the hotel Antalya is a good place to see for the small old town and shopping bazaar. The daily bus goes at 10am everyday till 4pm and costs 10€. Kadriye is also a new tourist area, fairly small but a great place ti by souvenirs and clothes etc... This is 5km from hotel.

It is recommended to take a speed boat tour which takes you to the small cave and really nice Dudan Waterfall. There is not much within walking distance of the hotel as the area is mainly for resorts and golf and is fairly new.

Shopping involves haggling and they always start 10 to 15 lira higher if not more.
English is spoken in the hotel although it is important to note the majority of Belek guest come from Russia.Germany and Austria.

The weather in September was 36 degrees C and the resort was busy but there is enough facilities to accommodate.
