My boyfriend and i have just returned from a week in the Cornelia de lux.

The hotel is extreamly clean 24hours a day, the onsite facilities are excellent, several clean swimming pools only due to the weather not been too hot were very cold, lots of toilets everywhere which are also very clean.

The rooms were also great our only annoyance was that we were not put in the upgrade we paid for but that was first choices fault not the hotels. If you are to book, upgrade to a superior room with sea view as you get a hot tub with it or ask for a junior villa as its nice and quiet there.

Our only problems with the experince were that i am coeliac and they do not cater for people with allergies very well so i was very hungry. Also even though it states there are 7 bars only 3 of them are open on an evening and nightly entertainment could have been a bit more exciting.

However i would recommend the hotel as it was lovely.

We have just returned from a 1 week all inclusive stay at the Cornelia Deluxe hotel in Belek. This turned out to be one of the best hols ever. The hotel staff were great, very friendly and helpful...nothing is too much effort. My little 4 year old boy loved it, there was so much for him to do...kids club, night entertainment, a variety of swimming pools, an abundance of ice-cream that he could eat etc etc. Definitely recommended if you want a stress free break.

Great hotel - avoid the spa though

Great hotel, great value (on our all inclusive deal), great faciltiies and rooms, and good beach location. All clean and well looked after - service is generally good and though little English is spoken you can get along just fine. The meals are OK, though the buffet format can get a little tedious - we went in mid season so had a restricted choice of restaurants (which the brochures don't tell you). One piece of advice I would offer (and hence the sub-excellent rating) is to avoid the spa/wellness facilities - which will be difficult as there are generally a pair of guys in white spa suits patrolling the lobby/bar areas (and the golf club) touting for business - they're very pushy - like timeshare salesmen. We found that the service was very poor and very expensive. When you come to pay, even though they've asked for a room number when you book, you'll find they aren't part of the hotel at all so you can't book the charge to your room - and they're not too happy if you offer anything other than cash. We had some friends with us that went on an excursion that included a trip to a proper Turkish bath - it was much better and way, way cheaper. I tried but could find no evidence that these guys at the hotel spa are properly trained or qualified professionals at all - which is a tad worrying when they're all over your wife. Suggest you avoid them like the plague - but don't let that put you off the rest of the hotel.

  • Liked — Value for money and quality of service
  • Disliked — The spa service cost and quality were shockingly poor

Booked to stay at the Cornelia for a two week family holiday, our first time in Turkey, a little apprehensive before we booked but after reading some excellent reviews we decided to give it a try, and i'm happy to say we wern't disappointed.

Arrived 3 in the morning tired and ready to collapse into bed but where imediately lifted by the impressive grounds & lobby. Check in went ok, however two other families had problems with room bookings and had to stay in temporary rooms for the first couple of nights. Room very nice (basic room), modern & very clean, & c/w slippers, dressing gowns, minibar (filled daily with beer, coke, fanta, fruit juices & water), free safe & the usual toiletries. Only complaint was; no camp bed as booked for our toddler but after informing the reception we had one within 45mins.

Very large & impressive pool area with three water slides, there are plenty of beds lining the perimeter, majority were taken with the usual early towel on the bed routine but the staff are very helpful and would bring extra beds if non available, hotel beach looked good, plenty of sun beds but we preferred the pool areas and spent most of our time in the childrens park/play area of which the facilities are great, plenty to keep them busy, childrens pool & play area was shaded by a large canopy, great idea as the turkish sun was scorching!

A great variety of food in the buffet resturant for breakfast, lunch & dinner, although for lunch we always went to the pool side restaurant which is well shaded and had a good selection of salad, pizza, burgers etc. Staff were brilliant, no sooner had we finished our drinks they were bringing us another!!

Ther are four a la carte restaurants (need to pre book these) only one we didn't visit was the Turkish one but the other three were all fantastic especially the Hedra fish restaurant as we sat outside over looking one of the pools which was very pleasant. Service is excellent and if ordering a glass of wine they automatically bring you the full bottle and leave it on the table, all inclusive really does mean that at this hotel.

There were plenty of daytime activities in and around the pool area every day but if you didn't want to join in the staff didn't hassle you which was nice. There was also a kids club which seemed really good, they asked if our son wanted to go but we felt he was a bit too young as he was only 2 and a half Evening entertainment was usually very good, the animation team were excellent, there was a mini disco every night followed by the main act, which was the hotels own team putting on some sort of show or an outside act which were always really good.

Our only very small complaint about this top class hotel is that a lot of the staff don't speak english but they are all very friendly and helpful. Also the english were in the minority, there were mostly Germans and Russians but this didn't bother us, though they can sometimes be a bit rude!

Overall we would definately return to the Cornelia as we really did have a fantastic holiday and would recommend this hotel to absolutely anyone especially families with young children.

Stayed here in order to play golf at the new Nick Faldo course. The golf and weather were wonderful and the course is in excellent condition with great service. The hotel however was another matter.

Firstly the fact the hotel was nearly empty seemed to give the staff carte blanche to be bored and inattentive - unless you were in the restaurant where they whipped away your plate regardless of whether you had finished.

Secondly the food was not 5 star. None of the a la carte restaurants were operating, only the buffet. They set aside a small area of the childrens restaurant and had two of the a la carte menus available on alternate nights but all that happened was the staff brought you the buffet food to your table. You also had to endure a Russian flautist playing really naff tunes at volume and lighting that wouln't be lost at Wembley stadium.

Food does not benefit from being kept warm for a couple of hours. Once we had good lamb, and another time thought we would get spit roasted chicken but by 8.30 all the chicken was gone so they put on a processed chicken roll!!

The hotel caters mostly for german and russian tourists, which is fine but there was very limited catering for british tastes especially at breakfast. I also got a bit sick of continually being spoken to in German.

The final annoyance was that I was having some jewellry delivered to me and got a call from the jeweller that he was not being allowed through the security front gate. I had to walk down to meet him (staff do this by buggy so it is not a short walk) and collect my delivery outside the gates. When I raised this with the security guard and later reception I was told this was hotel policy as they have a jewellry store in the hotel and I should buy from that!

Needless to say I did not contribute to the numerous tip boxes scattered around the hotel

Room were fine and clean, the Hamman was excellent , and in the summer I would imagine it was great. But for winter golfers play the Cornelia course but stay elsewhere.
