“Small but perfectly formed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013

The hotel is a little of a stretch from the airport but once we got there it was worth it. We arrived quiet late, well early the next day to be specific but reception was well staffed and we we allocated our rooms very quickly, We ordered dinner at reception and it was with us in the rooms very shortly after we arrived. The hotel is far from new, however it is very well maintained, we were a little concerned by the age of the room, however they were very well kept and clean, not a maintenance issue in sight. The beds were a little hard for my taste, but thats just me, I adjusted quickly.
The first morning was great breakfast was impressive for a hotel with only about 250 room, it seemed to be able to squeeze allot into the restaurant, infact more choice than I had seen in much bigger hotels. The restaurant is not large and the hotel was full but it never seemed overcrowded, from time to time you wait for 1 or 2 people in front but never a long line for even the most popular things. Inside did seem to be more of a squeeze, but why in August would you want to be inside anyway. The trick seems to be they have a consistent flow of fresh food coming in, rather than pile it high and replace only when its empty as many hotels do, they seem to be working to keep the food fresh and looking good.
The hotel is set back from the beach with a small hill (very small) to walk over, and then your in the pool complex and down to the beach. The beach is good, the restaurant near the beach has a great bar next to it and we spent most of our days migrating from the beach to the pool, via the bar. The food in that bar was great, there is also a restaurant at the top of the pool complex (cant comment didn't use). There is a small but perfect gym and a very very nice spa. We didn't use any of the services, the beach and pool along we the open part of the spa was enough for us.

There was plenty of things to do, the animation team was good, always encouraging and working hard to get people involved, but doing it without being a pain. They were really good and the yoga, aquarobics and pilates being highlights for us.

All the staff were helpful and very friendly, in fact more so in the smaller Verde than the bigger sister Hotels of Golf and Serenity. You can use those facilities also if you stay at the verde.

We were there for 10 days and only spent one in the sister hotel (gloria golf) there is also the serenity, looked nice but those are large hotels with lots of time lost traveling around. We did check out the restaurants in the others and they were only marginally better than ours.

We only felts the small size in the last day or two as the entertainment started to cycle around. Seems they expect people to stay 7 or 8 nights only. SO if you staying more than 10 be prepared to be a little bored at night

In closing I would stay here again, and one day we might but we also like to try new places, so if this is one of your options and your staying less than 10 nights go for it you will be happy with your choice.

We arrived back yesterday from our first holiday in Turkey. We are a mid 40s couple with a 17 yo daughter and selected the hotel based on 5* as I was nervous about Turkey!. The hotel was fab in every way and generally the comments on tripadvisor from others are accurate. Food fab, rooms fab, service fab, things to do fab etc etc. Try the saturday market in belek and take lira to haggle with, don't take a taxi, jump on the tractor outside the hotel, 2 lira each, just fun! I could not fault the hotel but very very hot 12-3 (45 degrees). 5pm-7pm on the pier is great to take in some nice sun and sea breeze. The thing about Russians is true and misleading! I played beach volleyball a few times and was only English person with others being Russian, it was fine and we had a laugh! They can be head strong and brash but we had no problems at all. The staff are great and in our experience all spoke English. We like a walk after dinner and due to the location this is not possible. 5* and good reviews tell you that this is a good place. From beginning to end this was a fab holiday.

Room Tip: We had a family room and these were very good indeed

We have just returned from our first summer holiday at this, our favourite hotel, with our son and his wife and their two children of 4 and 7. Very different from our usual winter holidays when we play golf at the excellent Gloria golf courses. It was a summer paradise, there was so much on offer, live music and dancing by the sea, pools and water slides in which to cool off and have fun, and many other day time activities for the children.
I have read a few negative comments about badly behaved Russians ! Not a sign of a problem during our stay, yes we receive a very warm welcome because we are frequent visitors, but our family members were most impressed by the friendliness and kindness of the staff.
This hotel deserves its high rating on trip advisor, it is well managed, and staffed, spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms excellent activities, and food and a choice of wine to die for.
And the air conditioning essential at this time of year was just great.

My son' comment, it is just like coming to your very special second home.

Thanks again glorious Gloria Verde, we will be back

It is first time when a hotel in reality is better than on photos.

Gloria Verde is great choice if you are picky with quality, Everything is so clean and the the details are so well made. The floor, interior design, service, food (probably the best I've tried in Antalya region hotels).

Keep in mind: Verde is great for adults, couples, golfers. It was way better than Gloria Serenity (which is huge and has no cosy atmosphere). Even for families it is great. Gloria Verde has a boutique touch rather than monster resort oriented to the mass production.

This is the 2nd Gloria resort that we've stayed at in the Belek area. The Verde is certainly more intimate since it was that much smaller than the Golf, and is probably better geared towards families since night-time entertainment is done and dusted by midnight (unless you take the complementary shuttle to Club Insomnia). However, the live music at the Neptuno Bar (or on the pier) are great for parents. That said, if you want to stay up and have a nightcap, then the main bar is open 24/7.

To get to the beach and pool areas, you meander through beautiful gardens that support huge trees and lime groves. Nothing ever seemed busy or noisy, so there's opportunities for relaxation aplenty. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of activities going on - Tai Chi, yoga, water gym, water polo, archery (to name but a few) - but nothing is pushed on you. The balance of opportunity against relaxation is pretty much perfect. Motorized watersports are available on the Verde’s beach and are not cheap, but are well managed and safe. The pools were great from the perspectives of supporting the hotel’s client base by providing enough room splashing around (in the large infinity pool), an area for young children (in a separate pool), cordoned-off region of the main pool for active swimming and another area for pool-based activities. It was also great to see lifeguards on duty given that other 5* hotels seems to forego this service. The pier, with its loungers and parasols, is also fantastic for picking up a great tan!

On an all-inclusive deal, the food is fantastic. Drinks are international brands and food quality exceptional in all the restaurants. The two a la carte restaurants - no additional costs, just a booking required -provide waiter service for French and Asian cuisine. The lunch time grills/bars cook to order… fresh fish, steak, kebabs, pasta and pizza. Yumm!

The staff are well trained, greet you with a smile and are very accommodating. To give you some idea, we arrived at 11pm, were checked in efficiently and then provided with a cooked meal or access to room service. It was a pleasure to be addressed as Mr. X at reception on the morning after our arrival. Attention appears to have been paid to every detail. Interestingly, there is a degree of continuity offered by a successful animation team given that these members of staff are, by and large, retained over multiple years.

We stayed in a family suite which could possibly have benefitted from a second bathroom and a better view, but at the end of the day the room had good air-conditioning, was clean and had adequate space and storage. A complimentary, daily-stocked minibar was great!

Would I change anything? Yes, but this is being really pernickety and only goes to the hotel’s infrastructure around the pool areas. At the moment, for seeming reasons of providing a non-slip surface, the pool surroundings are tiled with a composite concrete pebble-dash. The black stones get very hot and you really need to make sure you have a pair of flip flops to save burning your soles and not feeling that you’re constantly subjected to a foot massage. If this pebble-dash was replaced by a roughened stone, such as granite, then I think that the pools would be very close to being perfect. The second thing is that the sun-loungers (whilst being plentiful) could have been more comfortable and could have benefitted from some form of matting. Complimentary beach towels are appreciated and of a good standard, but a bit of additional padding would have made reading the holiday novel just that bit more enjoyable.

Glorious Gloria! You deserve a 5* review. I'm pretty certain that we'll be back in the not too distant future. Well done to the management, staff and entertainment/animation teams for ensuring a great holiday!

Room Tip: Not a room tip, but a couple of general comments: 1. Take Euros or dollars as currency. Turkish...

Well, what to say and where to start? It was a holiday to remember in Gloria Verde. As me and my wife are strogly involved into the Hospitality business and very much know the service, our review will be little more into details, i hope that Gloria Verde Managment will not get upset on us and the few points that we will mention later on in the review will take it as a positive suggestions how to improve something to be even more fantastic and amazing that already is. We were looking for a kid's oriented and familly resort and we can say that Gloria Verde is almost perfect for that. Real familly and kid's oriented resort.
From the moment we arrived in Antalya airport, everything went just perfect. Staff from Anex tour was there to welocme us, transportation from the Airport to the hotel was first class. We arrive in Gloria Verde around 2pm and we were welcomed by the reception staff and than from Marina from Guest relation desk. She was just great, friendly and explain us absolutely everything regaridn our stay and she mention the call center number for any questions and inqueries during our stay. Our room was on fourth floor, beautiful view of the amazing garden in the resort and the way to the beach. Beautiful room, more than we expected. Separate smalll bed for our daughter, spacious bathroom, full minibar, dinning table, just amazing. And what is important clean ( still some space for improvement ).We meet our stewardess and we did ask her that our linnen is changed daily, which she accept with smile and she follow up on it and our beds had fresh linnen every single day.
As per Marina advice, we order Room Service for our first meal in Gloria, because we were tired and could not be bothered to go out of the room right away. Food arrived very fast and what is more important, hot and delicious. Even though Room Service menu is not offering so big choice, i do believe that it is enough for everyone to find something to eat.
In the afternoon we visit the beach and pool area for a first time. What to say? On the way to the beach you have a feeling that you walk trough the forest. Organized gardens, not even a piece of trash around. Amazing job from the people who are taking care of it. We manage to see them very often, always friendly and smilling.Simply beautiful. Very organized, well mantained, all necessary facilities are there and what is left for you is just to relax and enjoy. Small pool for kids, with sand inside so it is not sliperry for the kids, nice big pool, with clean water and very orgznied beach area. Neptuno bar offers all known and unknown refreshment, beer, cocktails, coffees...nice pier if you want to lay down and enjoy the sun in quiet atmosphere...beach voleyball field, constantly sprayed with water so sand dont fly all over the beach...and what mother nature gives us, nice, warm and clean sea.
There are 3 restaurants which serve dinner, Mythos, which is main restaurant in the main building of the hotel. Buffet style with beverages served on the table from waiters. Basilika, French Cusine in amazing atmosphere!!!!!!!!! Garuda, Far East cusine, traditional, Far East ambience.Mythos works for breakfast and lunch as well. For lunch there is two other options, Verde Pub and Neptuno Bar. In this two you can have grilled fish or meat, fresh in front of you, pizza, burgers, soup and big choice of pasta and salads. Definitely our first choice for lunch.
Mythos offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. One thing i can say...you cant stay hungry. And one more advise, be on diet at least a month before you go there. And of course, diet after that as well. During every meal there is a kid's corner where you can find something for your kid, either is kidn of pasta, soup, meat or any other dish prepared for kids. All the time Chef is there observing the operation and making sure that buffet is always full and that is fresh. Coolinary team in this resort is a fantastic. Well done. Every evening is different menu for dinner. There is Fisherman, Italian, Asian, Ottoman, Turkish, Southamerican and International night....tasty and delicious. Basilika, French Cusine restaurant which require reservation and you can go there once a week, offers variety of appetizers, salads, main courses and deserts that makes you feel like you are in Provance or Bordeaux area in France. Duck, Rabbit, Quail, frog legs, Foies-Gras, Tournedos Rossini, Surf and Turf which however should be served with lobster tail instead of shripms, crepes sauzette, creme brule with big wine list to make the dinner more memorable. As French people say; Bon Apettite. Service..impecable...thank you Mr.Hakan.
Garuda is for the people who love Asian food. My self and my wife we do like it but not really love it but we did enjoy our evening there. Service great. Food..tasty and spicy :-) Tryied sushi, thai soup with shrimps, dim-sum, peking duck....for desert deep fryied ice cream.
As i said, in Gloria Verde you cant be hungry.
For kids, which was our main priority, there is a special kids club called Gogi Kids club. It is near to the pool. The team who works there is taking very good care for all the tosy and all the things that kids need. Toys are desinfected daily, food replanished every day ( Hipp ), there is enough for every kid, of course if you are responsible parent and you dont fill up your bag so you bring food home, as we saw it happened few times. But that is not hotel fault.Form early morning until late evening there is activities for kids, starting with morning exercise and finishing with cartoon after dinner. Playing, drawing, painting, singing and dancing...like a kindergarden in the middle of the resort. Well done.
Entertainment for grown ups...if you are interested in it, nobody is forcing you but actualy politely inviting you...there is Aqua-aerobic, Archery, Waterpollo, Beach-voleyball, Pilates, darts, parties and shows every evening, Karaoke, Foam Party, Live music, Acrobat show....endless list, plus if you are not satisfied with the choice in Gloria Verde, you can always go to neghboiuring Gloria Serenity and watch the show there. There is a free train who take you to Gloria Serenity and Gloria Golf Resort daily.
Great job Giovani, Jaroslava, Artem and all others, sorry i did not mention all names.
As there is many positives there is a few negatives as well, as i mention, we do work in this business and even do we try not to, we notice few small things that we will share here;
-* i have to agree with UAMKD regarding English speaking personel. Many of the staff, especially wait staff dont speak and understand proper English. It is a MUST in every 5* resort that personel understand and speak English. I am sorry for LucaJoe and Suzyb66, but if they compare service in 5* resort with service in McDonalds, than they are right, but if they do know and understand service, than they would agree with UAMKD and us that English speaking personel is mandatory in this kind of resort. Nobody ask that staff should speak every world language, in my case Macedonian, but English....oh, yes, they have to. We experience that even girl from reception did not know to answer on English. Being friendly helps, but when i need to ask 4 waiters in order to get on Peppermint tea...that is far from 5 *.
-* In one bar i receive my Apple Martini, following night in other bar i was told that they dont know how to make it, and i was told by a supervisor in that bar. How come in one bar i got it, in other one nobody knows how to do it? Well, here is a recepie:
1 part Absolut® vodka
1 part DeKuyper® Sour Apple Pucker schnapps
1 part apple juice
Poor all ingredients into a shaker. Shake well and strain into a Martini glass.
-*One of the supervisors in Verde Pub, in front of guests, pick up what should be a clean glass, wash it in ice bucket, rinse it with mineral water and than use it for himself. What this means??? How can i give to my kid to drink from those glasses.
-* Hardly to comunicate with our room attendant as her english was very bad.
-*We notice that food is re-used just with different decoration
-* Too Russian oriented...they are everywhere. I would suggest dress code for dinner so they dont go for dinner dressed same as they were on the beach. We were one of the few ones who actually dress up normally for dinner.
-* Needs lots of training for service steps and procedure. I will not go into details because it will take forever. This goes only for Mythos. Basilika and Garuda srevice is fabulous.
-* Bar service needs improvement. Sometimes takes forever to get a drink.
-* Room service dishes left in the coridor...looks very ugly. Room service steward should come back and pick up dishes.Sometimes dishes are whole noght in coridor and bad smell is all over the place. As well, more prompt service. We order coffe at 5 am...never receive it.
As we mention, we do work and understand this job and maybe that is why we notice small things which should not happened. However, that did not spoil our holiday and definitely we will consider going back in Gloria Verde in near future. We hope that this small things will be corrected so this resort will be even better than already is.
At the end, we strongly recomend Gloria Verde Resort to everyone who want to have a proper familly holiday, especially if you are coming with small kids...just ignore the Russians!!!!

Room Tip: Rooms in main building overlooking the way to the beach...higher than 3rd floor. Simply amazing,quie...

Words cannot do this hotel justice, each and every member of staff did everything possible to make sure our stay was perfect. The food was amazing with ever changing menu's and everything looked and tasted wonderful. Rooms were great, Very clean with a well stocked up mini-bar full of spirits, soft drinks, snacks and beers. Pools and Beach were first class and i recommend you hire a Beach Pavillion for a day with its own 'Butler service' providing sparkling wine, fruit platters and pretty much whatever you need for a day on the beach.. This really is a place that will leave you with many very happy memories..( Just ignore the odd brash Russian though )..

Room Tip: Our room was great and i'm pretty sure you would be hard pushed to find fault with any of the ac...
