“Perfect vacation destination for families”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2010

I had a great time at Cornelia Diamond. The food and the rooms were really excellent. They offered a large number of local and international beverage brands under all inclusive concept. The pools and all facilities were very clean.

As soon as we returned home, we booked up for next year. The staff were very pleasant and could not do enough for you. The hotel was very clean.
There was nothing to fault on this holiday, so go and find out yourself, it’s a gem.
Restaurants were amazing and everyone will have their own favourite and we found the booking service okay and easy to use. Out of the 14 nights we ate in an A lacarte restaurant 12 times!
We stayed at the Hotel at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas last year and this hotel was far superior on service and quality.

We arrived at the hotel to a nice glass of champagne waiting for us. There were 12 in our party so it took a little while to arrange our rooms. This was dealt with swiftly as we were offered villas or inter-connecting rooms with a swim-up pool. We plumped for the inter-connecting rooms which were very luxurious and spacious. The hotel is very large and it does take a while to get your bearings but it is lovely as are the pool areas and the beach. The food and was top draw, the only slight disappointment was the Chinese restaurant, this is only because we have stayed at the Cornelia deluxe before and it was one of our favorites. Having said that all the other restaurants that we ate in were lovely, the service, food etc were excellent. Overall we had an excellent stay at the hotel and preferred it to the Cornelia deluxe and the Xanadu in the same area. The only down side was an automated system in place from your room to book for a restaurant, this didn't work and there were a lot of complaints. Every time we wanted to eat in a restaurant it was a trip to customer relations and a lot of persuasion. If you have stayed in any of these hotels before you will know they tell you that the restaurants are full when they only take bookings for a few tables. On our last night we ate at the bbq restaurant and had spent a lot of time at customer relations in order to so, they had told us as usual that the restaurant was full, we eventually persuaded them to book us in to find only 15 other diners there the whole evening. So just be warned that they will try to fob you off saying that the restaurants are full - they never are!. We were a party of 12 and a real mixed bag, 2 pensioners, 3 adults, 3 teenagers and 4 children. For the small children there was an active children's club in place and for the older children a game of archery and football in the afternoon. For the 9 and 12 year olds there was nothing active going on, this could have been because it's not high season but nonetheless it would have been better if there were activities for their age group and generally more entertainment during the day. Overall though a lovely hotel with excellent restaurants, food, drink, rooms and service. The spa and gym are excellent too and not just a token gym or spa that you see at so many hotels. They were fully equipped and very impressive. We would all definitely return to the Cornelia Diamond.

The hotel is very big, with enough swimming pools for everyone but often not enough sunbeds. The food was very good, especially lunch where you can order off menu even though its all inclusive. The evening buffet was good too. It was tricky to book one of the A La Carte restaurants, although we managed often enough. It meant being in your room by 6.30pm and phoning on the stroke of 6.30! The facilities are good - the water slides are great, the bedrooms are lovely. Overall, i would recommend the hotel but its not a cheap holiday.

We stayed at last week of May with my wife. The overall quality of our experience was very good. First of all everything was very clean. The facility seems to be new. Service quality is outstanding. The food is delicious and drinks are high quality. Sea is OK. In conclusion it's a good "all inclusive" choice. Except those main issues I can put some notes which might help the ones with intention to come. Nevertheless I wouldn't call these facts critics:
1. There are many families with children. But since the components of the facility are very large the child density is not too much. Hence you are not disturbed by child noise or etc.
2. The "a la carte" restaurants are quite busy. The reservation system is fully automatic and you have to be a quick phone user to succeed to reserve.
3. All of the staff are very strict in terms of timings. It's recommended to observe strictly the hours of meals. You may not find any crumb 5 minutes after the programmed finish time.
4. Energy drink is in "extra" status.
5. The beer is Tuborg.
6. The main restaurant is at 4th level and it's not open air.

I booked the hotel using Leisure Link Golf due to their easy to use website and their subsequent tailor made sevice. We arrived at Turkey and were then transported to the hotel in a 20 seater VW minibuus ( there was only 4 in our group) direct to our hotel. We were greeted with Champagne and more than a smile. The lobby is truly magnificient. Our rooms were fantastic, balconies, mini bar, 24hr room service sat tv, etc. Later that night we went to the dome bar where we were entertained with live music and dancing, coupled with cocktails from around the world (I even created my own, twice). Needless to say that the rest of the week involved fantastic food, whether at the buffet or the A La Carte (6 euros p/p well spent, the Tai Pen was awesome). The entertainment staff were brilliant and not too pushy, and the shows at night were top class. I can honestly say that coupled with great golf courses and a fantastic hotel (did I mention the Spa, WOW) you can not ask for better. If I had a complaint, it would be there was nothing to complain about.Ten out of ten.

We have just returned from our second stay at the Cornelia in 8 months.

We enjoyed our two stay last year so much, that as soon as we arrived home we booked again. We were not disappointed with booking another two stay so close to last years vacation. Towards the end of our holiday we had our fingers crossed that we would be trapped at the Cornelia by the volcanic ash cloud but alas we were not that lucky.

We are now looking at dates to return next year!!!
