“Loving care, excellent stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Dona Luisa loves what she does and her hospitality is sincere and limitless. I enjoyed spending time in her rose garden, looking at the sierra and enjoying the fresh air. My room was impeccably clean, quiet and cosy.

Her B&B is actually also an in-house bakery: the moment I came I saw a beautiful living room with other guests conversing at a large table and enjoying her cakes. Immediately I was offered a plate of her home-made delicacies and tea! In the mornings her fruit salads were a blessing, and I really liked it that there was a chance to converse and get to know other international guests. She pays attention to small details: even the gel in the bathroom was of a quality variety! She treated me like a daughter, and I should say this is one of the best stays I have ever had.

-----

Room Tip: I guess any as good. You´ll probably spend more time downstairs trying out the fantastic cakes anyho...

the hotel has refurbished the upper floor for rooms (top clean; not so intimate; kind of small, lovely small terrace overlooking the garden); owner is excellent host and great cake cooker (breafast is a feast with fresh cut fruit, home made pastry/cakes, youghurt, cereals, etc), well recommended for 2-3 days (enjoy the garden!) specially for kids; swimming pool and sports place are outside the house (top notch facilities)

Maria certainly knows how to look after her guests. She loves to chat and is very helpful with details of local eateries etc. The rooms are comfortable and very reasonably priced. Very good breakfast, with delicious home-made cakes included.

My husband & I stayed for 3 nights at Maria's home which is a restored listed building. We were made to feel like we were with family. Maria and her son & daughter were warm welcoming hosts.
Our room was comfortable and clean and had lovely views of the surrounding countryside.
Breakfast was a feast with Maria's homemade jams and cakes.
The weather was particularly stormy on the one evening we were heading into town and Anna, Maria's daughter, very kindly insisted on driving us.
I would recommend a stay here as it's great value and Maria and her family do all they can to ensure their guest's needs are met. Maria even sent us on our way with a box of her delicious cakes when we left.

We have stayed twice in this guest house this year and will go again. Donna Luisa speaks little English, but will phone her daughter if necessary. She is extremely friendly and willingly provides coffee and home-made cakes when you arrive, if you ask (free). The rooms are spacious and all ensuite. Only 3 or 4 guest rooms are occupied, so you feel you are "part of the family".

Entrance is via an electronic gate, so you can safely park and leave your car inside and walk to the small town. There is a beautiful patio and a garden where you can sit and look at the hills opposite. The guest house is situated opposite the football stadium (past the swimming pool), but as it is set back from the road and elevated, it wasn't noisy.

This is NOT the place for you if you like a bar to drink in at night, but if you like personal, friendly attention you cannot go wrong!
