We have just returned from a 3 day stay at the Park Hyatt Goa.

The stay was great, thanks to the reviews at Cleartrip.com.
The ground floor rooms in the resort are not advised as you cannot sit in open space due to Mosquitos and neither can you have a clear view of the property from the Ground floor. However the first floor room we stayed in Court 3 opposite the pool was lovely hence I strongly recommend staying on the first floor in this hotel preferably facing the sea or the pool.

Food was great on all the days except for the last day of the trip which was understandable as there was some conference of Hero Honda (25 year celebration) coming up. The beach is also clean without stray dogs and cows as found in some popular north goa beaches.

The hotel could do with more of sunbeds as if you dont happen to reserve/occupy one in the morning then its not possible to get them for the day as they get occupied. The open air jacuzzi is also excellent and so is the pool side bar.

Overall a positive experience and recommended.

Me & my wife spent 4 days @ the Park Hyatt,Goa,India.We wanted to enjoy the monsoons at Goa and that precisely what we did.The hotel is definitely one of the best if not the best.We have been to almost all of the luxury resorts in the south and this definitely ranks right up there.Right from the time of check in to the check out,its a breeze.Including the valet parking:)

On checkin we were greeted by our Resort Host(this is something unique to the hotel).The resort host is your single point of contact for anything in the hotel.Saswati was our host.She did a wonderful job with the check in & the coconut water that we were greeted with got rid of all our 16hour drive tiredness.It was a long drive from Hyderabad.We were booked into the Park Deluxe rooms on the 1st floor.Be sure to ask for 1st floor rooms as the ground floor rooms might have a hampered view of the location and the GF rooms have an open shower.Not somehtng that added to my comfort.The room was lovely.The minibar was well stocked and it had all the amenities expectd.The bath area was a revelation.You could just go stay there just for the bath area and the sky showers:)

Breakfast was at the coffee shop.The Indian & the continental are on two sides of the restaurant.This makes life easier as one can choose which side of the restaurant to sit in.Its advisable to choose a package that includes breakfast & one other major meal as eating within the hotel can be an expensive affair.There are no local eateries closeby.The only thing thats near by is Martin's which itself isnt a cheap bet by any stretch of imagination.

The swimming pool is the biggest and the longest that I have experienced anywhere in Goa.What makes it special is that they have an open air Jacuzzi.Wow.yes thats what it is.SImply WOW.Club carts are available in case you do not wish to walk around the property.There isnt much difference between the sea view rooms and the non sea view rooms as the sea is quite a distance away from the rooms.This is the same case with all the properties in Goa.So do not get sucked into paying the extra money on the promise of a sea view room.Stick to the cheaper options as the rooms and th services are the same,but one ends up paying a bomb for a sea view.

Food at the restaurants in the hotel was good.We ate in the Italian,Indian & Continental places.We did not use the Spa services though they looked tempting enough.There are a few options for beer right outside the hotel gate.

All in all a wonderful stay and we have already planned for our next dates:)Keep up the good work Hyatt Goa:)

Was fortunate to stay in this hotel 2 times, 3 nights each in June 2008 and i must say the hospitality was the best i have ever experienced. Food, Service, Rooms... amazing.. i think the most pleasurable thing is the service in terms of every single staff is smiling and willing to get you anything that can make your stay even better.

I have stayed in Goa at the Taj, Leela and Intercon, but they combined dont come close to this experience.

Many Indian 5 star hotels suffer from the same problem: high prices and lower standards than elsewhere.

This is not the case for this property: rooms, pools, restaurants, communal areas are all to a pretty high standard. Everything is new / well maintained and works well.

In terms of "vibe", it's firmly South Goa (i.e. more beach/relaxed and more foreigners). However, it is located centrally, which makes it very convenient for the airport as well as for most of the sightseeing.

Staff is helpful and facilities are good, with good restaurants, a huge pool and a well-attended and maintained beach stretch.
