We stayed 7-22 April 2008. As usual I read mixed reviews, but what people often forget is that you are not going to a 4/5* European/US hotel. Its 4/5* compared to what the local have to live in.
The staff were excellant, we upgraded our room and got all sorts of extras that made the holiday, towels fresh every day, bath robes/slippers, fresh fruit, biscuits, crisps and nuts and a very well stocked mini bar/fridge.
Some of the entertainment was good especially on the lawns.
The a-la-carte was excellant we even had a phone call every morning from reception to see if we wanted a table booking.
I would say that although its all inclusive dont just sit around the pool, get out !!!
The locals are friendly, we even went on the local buses, took trips with the taxi drivers and ate out on 3 nights (its so cheap). The restaurants we heard about were East meets West, Alfresco and All Spice.
Try the beach shacks on Baga beach (Oceanic very good).
I would go again but because it was so cheap I would probably not go all inclusive.

We booked our room thru' the net.
As soon as we arrived in the hotel, we found the reception staff a bit rude as if they're doing a favour by letting us stay there. The net promises us a good view from the room but our room view was the kitchen. The rooms and bathrooms were dirty and filthy. The food (included in the package) was really disgusting. Goa is famous for sea food but we never got a pinch of sea food in our buffet menu. The restaurant staff actually didn't know what their job was. This hotel cannot be termed even as a star hotel. Got to improve quiet a lot. If this is the standard of 4 star then I really feel pity.
We Indians also were being given a 2nd grade treatment. Initially I thought it's my thinking. we were not even being wished any time of the day or night. Just to test them I wished the waiter Good Morning, but not even a glance to my side. A foriegner walks in and the same guy rushes towards him with wishes and enquiries. Maybe the tips in dollars or Euros speak for it. I had tipped the waiters in INR only.
Analysing the stay there, I never feel like visiting Goa again. I went to Goa for having a good time with my wife and kids. It was just waste of money and time.
I would suggest my fellow travellers to look for other options if you've opted for this hotel. Otherwise you'll regret the trip.

We stayed here for our second week in Goa, having been in the south in a superb hotel - so we did it the wrong way round. It was a timeshare exchange with RCI - usually of a high standard and we were immediately charged £32 for utilities, something that's never happened before to that extent in years of exchanges.
The room was outdated, the television had no decent picture, the balcony furniture was shabby/dirty, there was no hairdryer - something we expect in these exchanges and the wardrobe did not have any hanging space for skirts or dresses - i.e. nothing long.
We were not all inclusive which seemed to completely confuse everyone - it was a problem when we tried to eat there and noone told us anything about the facilities. It was only by chance that we discovered a very pleasant buffet with entertainment on the upper terrace on our last night.
The pool had limited beds and it was difficult to get adequate shade - something essential for me - a skin cancer survivor.
The best part was outside the hotel - plenty of eating places to choose from though it was worth taking a taxi to Mandrem for a really quiet beach in the day - good beds under a roof with towels provided - you just need to order refreshments from the shack.
Raj jewellers, just outside the hotel on the corner is worth a visit - an emerald ring and pendant cost me just over £600 but has been valued for insurance to have a replacement value of £3,350 - i.e. 5 - 6 times what I paid.
