We stayed here for our second week in Goa, having been in the south in a superb hotel - so we did it the wrong way round. It was a timeshare exchange with RCI - usually of a high standard and we were immediately charged £32 for utilities, something that's never happened before to that extent in years of exchanges.
The room was outdated, the television had no decent picture, the balcony furniture was shabby/dirty, there was no hairdryer - something we expect in these exchanges and the wardrobe did not have any hanging space for skirts or dresses - i.e. nothing long.
We were not all inclusive which seemed to completely confuse everyone - it was a problem when we tried to eat there and noone told us anything about the facilities. It was only by chance that we discovered a very pleasant buffet with entertainment on the upper terrace on our last night.
The pool had limited beds and it was difficult to get adequate shade - something essential for me - a skin cancer survivor.
The best part was outside the hotel - plenty of eating places to choose from though it was worth taking a taxi to Mandrem for a really quiet beach in the day - good beds under a roof with towels provided - you just need to order refreshments from the shack.
Raj jewellers, just outside the hotel on the corner is worth a visit - an emerald ring and pendant cost me just over £600 but has been valued for insurance to have a replacement value of £3,350 - i.e. 5 - 6 times what I paid.
