“Loved it! Close to paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2012

Four friends stayed there mid May for 12 day, and we all absolutely loved it. I’m shocked at some of the bad reviiews I just read. Staff were genuinely helpful and very friendly. Rooms clean and good size. Restaurant more expensive (as with all hotels) then outside, but very well worth it, food was good. On site Casino was fun until my luck ran out, and then the free food and soft drink made up for it. Very quiet and peaceful. Parking free and easy. Swimming pool was nice and clean. Stayed in many hotels and this one is among my top for service and value. Thanks Riviera staff!

Have visited the hotel in april, not worth what we paid for, rooms are equivalent to 3 star hotel, bathrooms are very very small......went to check resort rio, same price & seemed a much better place than riviera....not recommended.

Considering all the issues we had, I must say that I still loved this hotel. The driver that was sent to pick us up at the hotel was a jerk who made us wait for an hour before he drove us to the hotel. Since I was going through a short bout of Delhi Belly, that was torture. When we arrived at the hotel, we were supposed to be booked for three nights but they only had us on the books for two. The error was with our travel agent, not the hotel but the staff was very friendly and tried their best to help us out. Inacio, the manager called the travel agent himself and worked things out. When we got to the room, the lock didn't work so we had to move to another room. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The grounds were impeccable and the pool was fantastic. The food was tasty but if you're not a fan of curry (which I'm not) your selections are limited.
All in all, the experience could have been horrible but the staff made the difference. They were so awesome that I can't thank them enough.

Rooms are large, clean, everything arranged.
staff were all responsive and helpful.
Swimming pool was very good indeed, with lots of sunbeds available.
The hotel's place is at the heart of North Goa attractions. you won't miss a thing.
breakfast was good.
I recommend here and resort rio as a good choices among hotels of north Goa.
resort rio has a bit nicer cafe-shop (bar) and pool, but both are great hotels.

I traveled to Goa with my family for relaxation & this hotel was worth the price. Thou it is at the higher end but it was worth every bit. The staff was friendly, rooms neat & clean & the breakfast buffet was delicious. The breakfast spread was all u could think of, spc when u travel with kids who are picky eaters. The pool was grt8 well maintained with helpfull stuff. Thou the hotel is not on the beach but it's hourly bus service is very convenient, also it's opp the Flea Market which is a good shopping area. The hotel is so well maintained that you can spend a day just relaxing in the hammock.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the ground floor.

Thirteen of us girls stayed at Riviera De Goa for a long weekend to celebrate our friends upcoming wedding. The hotel staff could not have been more friendly and helpful in arranging any of our needs. The hotel and pool were clean, the drinks and food were tasty and the casino was great fun. The hotel is also in a great location for Baga and Anjuna whether you are looking for beach, shopping or bars.

What a wonderful stayat this beautiful hotel. The gardens, rooms and pool were immaculate. All buffet meals consisted of a wide variety of foods from various countries - needless to say, the Indian dishes were wonderfully authentic. All staff were very friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. It's not very close to the beach, but an hourly bus shuttle will take and return you. Not being so close to the beach has its benefits - it's quiet and peaceful at night. I will return again and again to this hotel.
