This pleasant B&B was our first on our trip to South Africa. Large rooms with huge bathroom. In our room there were beautiful stainglass windows. It is an old building so don't expect state of the art decorating. We enjoyed our stay and can recommand it.

The guesthouse is nice and we enjoyed the pool and the breakfast a lot. But we wish we had a queen bed in the room, not two single beds! We found the place too impersonal since we haven't met the manager even once. When we arrived at 6pm, no one was here to welcome us! An other guest gave us the key she found on the desk... Two employees were here in the morning too prepare the breakfast but I think in a a guest house we should be more welcomed by the manager or by the owner. I felt like in a hotel.

We enjoyed our stay in Stellenbosch. Light airy room and sizable en-suite. B&B was in a quiet area and easy walking distance to the town centre. We were not impressed by the lack of interest or service from the manager however several of the other staff were helpful. Swimming pool very uninviting

Definetly the quietest place we stayed which was surprising given its not far from the Stellenbosch train station. Great, clean rooms and exceedingly friendly staff. The full English breakfast in the morning was much appreciated after the wine tour the day before. Within walking distance to downtown restaurants and only a few blocks from "Cupcake" a delicious bakery where - shockingly - they have fabulous cupcakes (other great pastries too!)!

Spent 2 nights here in early March. It was extremely hot and while the room did not have air conditioning, a fan was provided, but the room was still very warm! The room was lovely, with a huge bathroom with a rolltop bath and a seperate shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice but did not have a huge selection. Parking is available and we had no issues but there were not a lot of spaces. We ate in the Big Easy and really enjoyed it. We found that a lot of restaurants were closed on Sunday night.

We arrived in Stellenbosch without a booking but 5 minutes at the tourist office sorted us out with this place. We got to the lodge 5 minutes after booking it but no one was there to meet us. Rang the bell for 20 minutes and eventually a member of staff opened up for us.

The room was large but smelled pretty bad, we opened the windows but the smell lingered so we stayed out as much as we could.

The staff at breakfast the next morning were exceptional and they had a little blind dog 'steffanie' that was more than happy to get some attention from the guests. The security guy that sits all night outside watching the cars was also a nice guy and it was sad to see so many guests walk by as if he wasn't even there.

There are dozens of pubs and restaurants within walking distance and the wine tour run by the Stumble Inn backpacker place was great fun.

The owner barely acknowledged us even at check out and she sat and smoked inside which I thought was a bit 'off' too.

Unsurprisingly yellow building with high ceilings and light airy rooms. The wooden floors must make for a bit of noise downstairs, but our first floor room was lovely. Bathroom bright and clean, comfy bed. Bacon and eggs and buffet breakfast very pleasant too. The owner and staff were keen to help with our questions. Off road parking easy. Just a little, well-lit, 5-minute walk into the town centre. Value was pretty good, we just turned up on the day.
I think that we were a bit far from the wi-fi router, so internet contact was patchy.
