“Idyllic country setting for a lazy brunch/lunch!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

Set amid rolling lawns, beautiful dams, and surrounded by mountains, Postcard Cafe is the perfect setting for a leisurely late breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea.
Enjoy a tasting of Stark-Conde wines in the unique tasting room in the middle of the dam, and select the one(s) to accompany your meal.
A small menu, but with enough variety of meat, fish, vegetarian options to satisfy most! Omelettes, quiches, salads, yummy burgers (not fast-food types!), fresh fish, the prawn and calamari salad was a big hit! The 8 of us chose a selection of 6 of the desserts/cakes to share - all excellent!
Service is very friendly and efficient, The Postcard is well worth the visit, and we will be returning!

Visited the Postcard cafe and the wine tasting centre. Both gave great, attentive service in a beautifull setting. Well done and thank you!

Stayed on the property for 2 weeks and visited the Post Card often during that period as well as most similar restaurants in and around Stellenbosch . Post Card by far the best value for money - great location , great service , great food !

“Views are better than the food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

If you are tourist to Cape Town then you must try to come here for a wine tasting session, or a light lunch. Don't expect any quality a la Franschhoek or Stellenbosch proper. The settings are magical and fairy-land like, but that was let down by mediocre food. Don't get me wrong. I had better food last time I was here, but if you choose something easy and light, like prawn and calamari salad, then it is OK. Having said that, the prawn batter was a bit thick. The oriental sauce was good. The 'island' where wine tasting happens is an oasis in a lake (if there is such a thing) accessed by a wooden bridge from the main restaurant. Lush and oriental, probably briefed by the Japanese-German owners. It is worth a visit, even if you have to compromise on your culinary standard.
