I am someone who loves to observe wildlife, loves to experience new things, and a has positive, easy going outlook on life =) That being said, I've visited many zoos and aquariums including the National Zoo in Washington D.C and I have to say I really enjoyed Wildlife World. I've been wanting to visit for awhile and finally went January 2013 with my significant other.
Did my research beforehand and came ready for an awesome day of fresh air and wildlife viewing. 1) got a 2 for 1 coupon, 2) early start after a substantial breakfast, 3) wore my hiking boots, 4) took a bottle of water. The unpaved paths didn't bother me at all. There were plenty of places to sit and watch the animals. They had an awesome variety of animals for being a smaller zoo, some I've never even heard of. My favorites would have to be the Duiker (mini antelope) and the tamarin monkeys. We had fun just watching and being up close to the animals that we missed the shows hehe. Have to come back I guess! I saw that they are working on an expansion that will have wolves and bears. I hope this zoo continues to grow. Wish I lived closer as I would enjoy volunteering there!
