“Pleasant place to retreat.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

I really enjoyed the grounds (i.e. landscape was gorgeous) and how the rooms were in separate little bungalow-type buildings. The rooms were clean, relaxing and the bed was very comfortable. I would highly recommend for couples and even families (the kids would love the pool slides).

I stayed here for a conference, which included a golf outing. There was a Jazz Festival going on when I arrived, which made the place crowded and hectic, but the staff did a great job of directing everybody and making sure the crowd kept moving so I could get checked in. The staff was incredibly helpful and polite during the checkin process, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The golf was fantastic, and it was really nice to sit out in the sun on the patio in front of the room. The room itself was a little dated, but the tv was modern and the room was clean and comfortable. Overall, I would say that it was a fantastic experience, and I hope I have the opportunity to return some day.

This place has been around forever. It is a beautiful resort with great grounds and you feel like you are going back in time. Bocce Ball is a favorite game around the resort, I did not know what it was either. The bar and restaurants are excellent and really there is no need to leave the resort. Plenty for the kiddos to do, with a water slide and area in the pool for them. The rooms are big and have been updated. The staff is excellent and work hard to make your stay great. I would definitely stay here again, maybe not in August, but it is wonderful in the springtime. I have to say the resort fee is kind of a ripoff. Just bump the room price 20 bucks a day and don't feed me a line.

The staff are friendly and helpful, the grounds are impeccable, and my overall experience was great. I understand that some rooms are older and outdated, but mine was spacious, clean and comfortable. I stayed here for 4 days for a company function, but would certainly vacation here as well.

Room Tip: Ask to get a room that has already been renovated. There are rooms that still need work.

We stayed here in Dec 2012, Firstly there was nothing for the kids to do (against every conversation I had with staff before going). The pool was closed and there were no kids clubs!(again as staff reassured me there would be) The hotel said there would be because it was Christmas break! They also neglected to say that not all restaurants would be open during Christmas break and we almost missed having Christmas dinner because even though I asked I was never informed you had to pre register. Christmas dinner cost us $240.00 for 1 adult and 3 children. Crazy hey?
The Golf was outstanding! Courses were great as were the staff/services.
On our departure we waited 40 minutes after calling for bell service and no one showed, we ended up walking with all our luggage in the rain in order to not miss our shuttle. When we reached the bell desk they were not advised we needed a lift or any assistance. How's that for customer service!
There were great things about the hotel but customer service was not one of them.
The room was clean.
Room service pre charges a gratuity of 14% to your order. just an fyi when giving a tip.

Room Tip: There is not allot for kids to do in December, no waterslides open or kids clubs

Although we are delighted that during your stay you truly enjoyed playing golf on our championship courses, we very much regret that there appears to have been some miscommunications which resulted in some disappointment. Please accept our sincere apologies for this and the other areas of concern you have mentioned. We hope that you will visit us again and we can provide the service and experience that exceeds your expectations.

The grounds are kept very clean and neat. We were very impressed with the overall layout of the resort. We enjoyed the private walking tour that I was given to describe the history of your hotel. We loved using the water slide of the Tower pool. Each Hotel staff member greeted us with a smile each time we had a question or comment.

What a cool place. Didn't expect this place to offer so much. Top shelf golf course with great instruction if needed, large array of restaurant, fab workout facility, great pool and bar, and don't forget the Elizabeth Arden Red Door for an apres golf/bike/workout/swim massage. This is a kid friendly place, although active couples would equally enjoy it.

For the golfer we provide three 18-hole championship golf courses all with their own unique challenges and for those wishing to be pampered just a bit, the Red Door Spa is a haven of healing and balancing treatments.
