“Fantastic place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

The Wigwam was beautiful and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The beds were maybe possibly the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The bathroom was huge, beautiful and clean. We loved the sushi place across the street. I will most definitely be back!

Room Tip: We had a double queen room and it was very spacious.

This resort is fabulous. Our two meals in Litchfield's were fantastic. The menu is local, very fresh and diverse. Everything we ate was off-the-charts great. The sleeping room was huge and well appointed. We loved the living room with the fireplace. The housekeepers were attentive to every detail. They did not overlook even one item. The grounds are beautiful. The services in the Red Door Spa were equally impressive. Treat yourself to a mani or pedi with "Pearl." My Mom and I both had the best pedicures of our life. Melissa even came in on her day off to cut my hair. We were so impressed. Just as other reviewers have commented, the staff is very polite and helpful. The sleeping rooms are dated, but renovations are underway. Check their web site for rate specials. You won't be disapointed.

Truly enjoyed walking the grounds and taking advantage of the amenities (even playing bocce). The staff was always helpful and cheery. The main building had many sitting rooms where you could enjoy the fireplace and flip through old pictures. Outdoor fire pits were so pleasant on the chilly evenings. I enjoyed the Heritage golf course, which was in great shape, while my wife took advantage of the heated pool on a 60 degree day. The informal Wigwam Bar was a nice breakfast stop, and Red's food was delicious for both breakfast and Christmas Eve dinner. The proximity to Westgate, Tanger, and Cabela's made it an easy quick trip for shopping and dining. All in all, it was a very pleasant long weekend at the holidays.

This is truly a destination,, the rooms are great, the grounds are amazing,,, Everything you could want right at your fingertips. They have an amazing pool, and a waterslide for the kids. There is a golf course,, since I don't golf, i can't really comment on the course, other than it was pretty. There are several spa options, shopping, resturaunts on site... I could go on and on.. Love this place!! Keep in mind no matter where you stay in the Phoenix area during the summer there is no escaping the heat. But there are nine other months in a year where this place would be perfect for a vacation...

Room Tip: Look around for good deals,, the prices vary widely on this hotel,, so check around,, we had a frien...

I flew down to Phoenix for a memorial service this past weekend. When I mentioned to the staff what I was there for they went over and beyond in excellent customer service. The three roomed I had booked were not only absolutely spotless, but were very tastfully decorated in Southwest accents. The grounds were perfect and the flowers gorgeous. The staff accomodated my every need. What a perfect place for the peace and quiet that was needed for my family and myself.

Front desk staff and all employees were very service oriented. The grounds are beatiful. I stayed in room 620 which faces Old Litchfield Rd. The oasis pool was in the rear. The oasis pool was well maintained and peaceful. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The room was in need of updating grout cracking, and carpet thread bare. One morning about 5am The decibel level in my room exceeded OSHA standards everyone on this side of the building should have been issued hearing protection. I pulled myself out of bed to investigate. There was a huge truck diesel motor screaming with men throwing huge chunks of ice into the machine to make snow for a parade later that day. I informed the front desk and was told they had nothing to do with this and blamed the city. The noise did not stop until 7pm.I found the Wigwam helps with and even advertised this event in the activities flyer. Management should have coordinated with the city and notified guests of such a disruption. No apology or amends were made to guests from management. I cannot reccomend this resort with this type of management.

Room Tip: Pick a room that is not facing litchfield rd or wigwam blvd. these are noisy rooms.

It’s disappointing that although you’ve shared an appreciation for our staff, grounds and even the comfort of the bed in your room, your overall experience was greatly impacted when the city was setting up for the Christmas festival. We are truly sorry for the disruption and hope that you will allow us to welcome you back again in the future.

After spending the last 10 days at this resort I cannot find words that can come close to how well we were treated, the conditions of the grounds, the staff assistance, the golf facilities as well as tennis and spas. although we did not experience the spa or tennis facilities they appeared to be top notch. The food in all 3 restaurants was superb as was the service. The rooms yes were not the modern upscale hoop da loo rooms as we are so accustomed but they were very clean, bed settings were comfortable, TV excellent as reception. We had a king suite on the front lawn location with a great little patio to sit out at night with a glass of wine and there was a very relaxing atmosphere and no disturbances. The transportation by the "Golf Cart" crew to get to areas of this large resort were right on the spot when needed. For the golfers out there you have three great courses (2 RTJ Sr.) that give you all you can handle with an exceptional crew at the pro shop to set you up how ever you want. There is great history on the location and you are reminded all the time with early period pictures of the resort in it's grand days of the famous Goodyear Employees and their families. Getting to I10 is easy and getting around with the use of the loops in Phoenix was a breeze to go to other locations. There are plenty of pools and fire pits for the night time relaxation> All in all there is a return trip to the Wigwam for sure at this household!!

Room Tip: Adults will enjoy the "Oasis" location, golfers have fairway suites if you want. The lawn...
