“Best vacation ever, staff was A+++”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

Great golfing, best deal around, golf shop very well stocked, great staff, 3 courses in superb condition. Greens were a little slow but understood due to the heat. Eat on site or off plenty of choices. Rooms were clean and comfy. Had a little trouble with hot water coming out of cold tap instead of cold water. Planning to return next year.

Room Tip: Rooms near Golf Course and Golf shop have great views.

It is absolutely wonderful learn that your recent stay at The Wigwam was your best vacation ever. Our three 18-hole championship golf courses offer diversity and a unique challenge for golfers at all levels. We are sorry to hear that you experienced some difficulty with the hot water; we hope that the inconvenience was minimal. Thank you for your review; we're looking forward to your return next year.

Came for Labor Day 2012 which was our 7th holiday weekend visit to the Wigwam (see previous reviews). Sad to say, it will probably be our last.

We found ourselves rather disappointed in the dining, especially in Litchfield's. Food was excellent here on our other trips, but they got a new chef and changed the menu. The service was dreadful; some dishes came out long before others; some sides never even arrived; had to ask for some things 2-3 times before getting them; and most of the food was cold.
The food in Red Allen's was still pretty good, and the breakfast buffet was above average, but it's not enough to make up for Litchfield's.

The golf courses were in terrible shape. Greens were bumpy and dying off, with such slow greens speeds we could never make a putt. Fairways were brown and uneven.

We started asking ourselves...if we have to leave the Wigwam to eat and play golf, then what is the point in staying here anymore?
We will not be back.

I was very impressed with the hospitality at this resort. Everyone was so attentive to catering to our stay. My grandchildren loved it as well. I plan to return for a longer stay when I come back to Arizona:)

This resort has everything and located not far from the I-10 freeway. The staff bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. One day I went to the front desk to ask if there was any place close by to buy batteries for my camera. He said wait a moment and came back with batteries at no charge. The rooms are ample and beautifully furnished. The Red Door Spa is on site so you can indulge in a massage after a day of golf or tennis; or just to be pampered. I can't wait to go again!

My sister and I met at the Wigwam for a short weekend getaway. The resort property is wonderful -- it has lots of historic culture and character, and I loved the authentic Old West feel. We also enjoyed the pool and bar. The drinks were reasonable, especially for a 5-star resort, and the grounds are gorgeous with a good mix of natural desert and immaculate green grass. It's also very spacious; the room was quite large, plus we had own patio that looks out on the gardens, which was a great place to read the Sunday paper and enjoy morning coffee. I was a little concerned about the place being "stuffy" but everyone was absolutely friendly, and it felt perfectly comfortable and welcoming. I definitely recommend this place and look forward to coming back.

My sister and I decided to have a spa getaway weekend at The Wigwam. From the moment we arrived until the moment we departed, we enjoyed the beautiful grounds, the smiling faces of staff ready to help us at any moment, and the weekend could not have been any better. We had an Oasis Terrace two queen bed room with a huge bathroom, tile shower, large tub and two sinks. The beds were comfortable and the room is large with a patio / lanai furnished with chairs and tables. We ate at the Wigwam Bar and at Red's Bar and Grill. Both were better than average. We had spa treatments (massages) at the Red Door Spa and spend time in the lap pool, jaccuzi, sauna and steam room. The grounds are expansive, and the morning walk around the grounds was a perfect way to start the day! Again, service was top notch. We can't wait to return to The Wigwam next spring!
